3/26 Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Isidro Diaz, another technician at Bite Away. He arrived promptly and set about checking the rat traps and exterior of the house. I really appreciated his professionalism and demeanor. I'm quite impressed with each of the techs I have met and look forward to working with Paul, David and Isidro going forward. Thanks! Paul Figueroa called and set up a time to come inspect my ant concern and discuss a treatment plan with me. He texted prior to arriving, and when he got here, provided a thorough explanation of how he could address my ant infestation. We walked around the entire exterior of the house while Paul scoped out the area, noting the trees, bushes and ant lines. He also came inside and sized up the situation of the interior. Following a close inspection, Paul suggested an initial treatment of the exterior which took about 50 minutes to complete. Following the treatment, he reviewed what he'd done, being certain that I understood. I am thrilled to have a contract for regular service with this company, and I feel confident that I was treated fairly, with respect and integrity. Paul responded quickly and fearlessly went into my attic, after doing a thorough check of the entire exterior of the house to see if he could find where my "friends" were gaining access. Though he did not determine the source of the scratching, he did give me some homework to help find resolution. Thank you for your time and expertise Paul. Harvey our tech is amazing. Before he starts his works he rings the doorbell to announce he is there and asks if we have any area with concerns that needs extra care. We have a dog he always lets know to wait a couple of hours before we let our dog out. We love that about him. We have been with Bite Away for 5 years and we love their services. We are on quarterly schedule and it is working out perfectly with us. Thank you

The inspector from this company named Ace did an excellent job. He answered all my questions gave me lots of information about the Termite Inspection. He did and I’m definitely gonna use this company to treat my house for termite damage. I highly recommend this company to everybody

The termite inspection was quick and our technician, Ace, was very detailed and friendly. He broke down the report with us and informed us of all our options, which gave us more confidence as first time homebuyers!

David came & was thorough obviously brought his A game as usual, Took care of the issues which he does every time he comes to the property & of course this is why we do a quarterly service at both our properties by this organization

Ace did my complimentary termite inspection and found a few small areas in the fascia boards that needed treatment - one for dry rot and one for active infestation. He was professional and pleasant and answered all my questions. Bite Away emailed the inspection report quickly and after I signed the work authorization the repairs were scheduled promptly. Jose did a great job on the repairs, replacing some wood, spot treating the area of active infestation, adding wood filler and painting all the new wood. He was also very pleasant and professional and very neat. I have been a quarterly pest control customer for some time and now would also gladly recommend the termite services of this company.

We've been using Bite Away for both bug pest control (bi monhtly)and rodent control (when we first moved in, Isidro not only got rid of the rodents, but kept them from coming back)! Every time they come the individuals (shoutout to David and Paul) do a thorough and awesome job, and I feel like my family is safe from critters :) We also recently had a termite inspector come, Ace was awesome, not only did he inspect for termites, but he showed us areas of dry rot and where another company skipped out on what they were supposed to in terms of fixing items. He was super professional, kind, and very knowledgable. Bite Away has an incredible team, they are kind, knowledgable, do the job in its entirety, and have incredible integrity. Thank you Bite Away!

We started seeing more spiders and ants around our house and had bite away come out for an inspection. They gave us a customized maintenance plan to keep all the bugs out year round. We're very happy with the technician and haven't seen any bugs. I really like their pest free guarantee.

We have been using Bite Away since 2016 and have always been happy with the service.

We have all heard of the blow and go gardeners - well seems we have a new term to add "SPRAY AND GO" Bite Away use to be so good, but I have experienced first hand the quality of services declining. For example the service techs are not taking the time anymore to knock down the webs as part of their service. What a shame!

No issues with the technician. But very frustrated with the company as a whole. When calling to schedule the service. We were on a time schedule due to being in escrow on the home. We were very up front with making sure we could have the report before 7/5. When 7/5 came around there was no report. When speaking with Loretta on the phone she was very unhelpful. A lot of “i can’t get a hold of anyone” “ i can’t see anything about the report” “ i don’t know what to tell you”. We will definitely not be recommending service to anyone. As well our agent is through redfin and has taken it up to her supervisors of our frustration and has said she will not be using the company as well. As a result we had to delay our contingencies. Not pleased at all.

After the initial inspection, Bite Away tried to broker out the fumigation service (residential fumigation). When Bite Away couldn’t provide proper terms for the safety and protection of my property, stating that damage to the roof, light fixtures, and gutters was inevitable & not insured and that all plants would die, I canceled the appointment. The cancellation was 6 weeks ahead of the scheduled date. I spoke to Charles Brown personally, and canceled the service. When we moved in to the residence 6 weeks later, we got a call for the fumigator to get keys and perform service — no! sorry, we canceled this appointment 6 weeks ago! — and further found that our SDGE gas service had been turned off by the fumigation company! We called SDGE, and they couldn’t get service reinstalled for over 2 days due to their schedule. We had to wait Friday to Monday for gas because Bite Away didn’t cancel with its outsourced fumigator. Bite Away failed to provide a reasonable contract, failed to properly cancel the appointment, and created havoc for our move-in. This is actually a Zero-star review. Do not use this company. Find someone else.

Scam company. The inspector certified the house I bought for sale, yet they left extensive old termite damage (under two very old layers of paint). I have to pay 3,000$ to fix work what should have been done by Bite Away the first time. The Bite-Away inspector Charles Brown insisted that the untreated wood was a “cosmetic choice” yet I have three other professionals who say that is not the case and it all needs to be completely replaced to be re-certified for refinance . The bite-away inspector offered a discount to re-do the job—I declined because the original work was of such poor quality that is made my house look junky. Do not use this company because they are selling fake termite certifications.

They tented La Costa Seashore apartments and they did not clear the building well before letting us back in. We may have had it worse because of the attic access but everyone said it was fine. I woke up with my throat feeling like fire and I have incredibly painful coughs. I was barely able to function at work. They could not be bothered to put the all clear notices on each door(he wanted to just leave in a pile) our manager got him to put a notice on each building. I could have stayed out longer..... Poison Control was useless thanks to budget cuts My doctor said that the damage is done and as long as I improve it isn't worth more expense of going to the hospital. Oh and they also dropped a tarp on my car hard enough to set the alarm off. They just laughed. I just noticed that the paperwork says the building was clear at 10 am and that is not true at all. Tarps were still partially in place at 10. It was after 12:20 that it was "clear"

Great company! I have used them a few times for our ant problem. They have always been professional and on time. Re-spray is a little pricey but will continue to use them.
