Very disappointed about this company. Schedule a service for Bee service on one day, we agreed to the a time gap between 10 am to 2 pm. Our service technician did not show up or even call saying they will not be there in the time we agreed to. At 2:28 that day I had the office call me saying they would have to reschedule because it had rained out. First they had not mentioned anything to me prior to this about if it rains out that they could not do the service. Second, the technician should have reached out saying they were going to be late or we need to reschedule, they did not. So I reschedule for the next day time gap between 8 am and 12 pm. Wake up early for me cause I work afternoons and wait until 1210 pm, and nothing again. No call from the technician or the office. I called at that point to the office and cancel my services I never received. The person I talked to tried to say I can call the technician to see where they were, but the damage was done already and I told her no thank you and to cancel. Not a good business in my opinion.

In 2013 we called them to bring bed bug sniffing dogs to our home as we feared we had picked them up on vacation. We did not, thankfully. They said we had to pay in advance, which we did, in cash to the lady that brought the dogs. We were given a receipt. In 2017 they reached out to us to tell us that we still owed them. I reminded them that we had to prepay before they would even bring the dogs into the home. There would be NO WAY we would still owe them. At that time the cost was more than we could really afford and it made an impact in our finaces. After 4 years I did not keep the receipt. They were going to send this collections or I wouldn't have repaid. Every year I am reminded of how crooked this company is because I posted about it on Facebook. I used to send them a yearly reminder about how poorly we were treated but it seems I am blocked from their account now. I want to let the public know how they treated us. The owner told me to go pound sand when I finally to to talk to him. He had no remorse being a crook. Beware and avoid this company unless it is under completely new management since they scammed us. If you read other comments here and some on Facebook they have done this to other people and everyone that uses them....(just dont).....needs to be on high alert for them to scam you years down the road when they need extra cash.

I couldn't agree more with the other reviewers of Guardian Pest in Duluth. I do not know what happened to this company. Guardian used to be excellent. We had been using them since 1998 - yes that long - but we saw a serious decline in their services over the past several years. ISSUES: 1. During COVID, we moved into the house Guardian was "supposedly" servicing. I say supposedly, because the service man showed up and left in 5 mins; I am not kidding. I immediately got on the phone with Guardian and asked what the heck? The serviceman clearly thought no one was home, as usual. He did come back and went through his routine, SAYING he was filling the bait boxes, but he wasn't. They hadn't been inside the house, nor up in the attic like they were supposed to, in years. No wonder there was increased mouse activity. 2. they wouldn't come out to treat a bee/hornet's nest in the peak of the house - said they wouldn't climb the roof (don't they have a sprayer that reaches that high??); 3. Canceled a scheduled service call, then didn't show up on the day that THEY rescheduled to, then lied about the what rescheduled date was. I had texts from them with the service dates. 4. weren't really servicing the house. When I called Guardian to cancel them, the woman in the office was so rude, defensive and angry that it made canceling their services even more fitting. She was really petty and sooooo defensive. She asked what the issues were, but not in an effort to make it all better, but rather to make excuses for Guardian. When I mentioned the canceled appointment, she said they don't service my area on that day. Well that's funny because that's the date YOU rescheduled me to and what YOU texted to me!!! Who is rude to someone canceling your services, especially if a LOT of people are canceling?? Wouldn't you be kind and apologetic and try to do everything to save the client? I found Prompt Action in Eau Claire WI and they are wonderful!!! Actually, when servicing the house and they found all of the empty bait boxes, and they said have been empty for months. DON'T USE GUARDIAN. They need to fix their business

I found someone that treated me more professionally but they still haven't gotten rid of the wasps and they won't come back and make another application. The powder they use isn't working and I can buy it at Walmart. I just paid the bill because they threatened to send it to collections which would hurt my credit. I finally got rid of the wasps myself with a different spray product. All they had to do is come out for 5 more min and spray one more time. I would never use this company again! I canceled my payment and now they are threatening to send it to collections which will ding my credit which is perfect. They said that I signed a contract that read they would come out twice. That is absolutely untrue. I have the contract. It reads these exact words. (Extra service requests pertaining to this program will be handled promptly for no additional charge within 30 days of the initial treatment. There is nothing said about coming out only twice. There are plenty of other companies that I think would do a better job. If they hurt my credit I'll have to sue them in Small Claims Court. Once again, it would've taken them 5 minutes to come out and finish the job. I THINK THIS COMPANY MAY HAVE TURNED INTO PROFESSIONAL RIPOFF'S! I had a wasp problem and their contract. The exact wording is, extra service requests (ESRs)Pertaining to this program will be handled promptly for no additional charge within 30 days of initial treatment. They sprayed for wasps and didn't get rid of them. They didn't spray everywhere their wasps were the first time. 2nd time they came back they sprayed everywhere but they didn't kill them. They said the contract states they will only do 2 applications. They billed me the full amount of $188 for 15 minutes of work. And the wasps were still there. I tried to get them to come back out and they wouldn't. I even offered to purchase more of the product they sprayed with from them and I would pay them 100% of the bill plus for the product and I would do it myself but they wouldn't do it. They said they would hurt my credit if I didn't pay them. This situation is not resolved!... The technician that was dispatched to my property and I had a conversation. In that conversation, he admitted that the contract did not read that they would only come out twice, and in fact, the contract did say they would come out until the wasps were gone. He said that the people in the office were young and tenacious. He also admitted to me that the product that the technician used was not always strong enough to kill wasps. He said that had the technician used this new product they're using it would've definitely killed the wasps. He asked me if we could come to an agreement and I would pay something because they did come out and attempt and do some work and being a good businessman, myself. I said I would. I offered $50 of the $188.00 bill. He said that wasn't good enough and that he would have to tell them we couldn't come up with a deal and they probably would send it to collections which would hurt my credit, which is the best credit one can have. We struck a deal for a hundred dollars and I paid them $100 and at the bottom of my check wrote paid in full. Yesterday I received a bill for $88.So either the technician lied to me or when he got back the billing department would not stand by the deal we made. At this point, I am ready to call my attorney and sue them for harassment and take back not only the hundred dollars but sue them for time and frustration.I was so frustrated last night that I couldn't sleep

This company 'mistakenly' put poison pellets into my raised bed food gardens. The next visit, they shop-vacked it out. I was billed for three visits and was not able to negotiate. The technician did not report the issue at my house, and I have no proof other than his word. I am lobbying to pay for two visits and they will not budge. The company is taking the technician's word, which was improperly reported. I wished I had read all of theses other reviews before calling them. Don't use them.

I'm not sure why they have so many so low reviews. I had my cabin sprayed which is on Lake Superior and the differnece is amazing!!! Wow, the reduction in mosquitos is better than I expected. Thank you!!!

We were scheduled for yearly cluster fly treatment, which was to occur in August. We encountered red ants in a bedroom and called to get both treatments done ASAP. The first appointment they did not show up. We were told they ran out of time and they rescheduled for 2 weeks out on 8/31. The window was 1-5. At 4:00 we called to make sure they were coming. We were told 5:00. At 5:30, they were not there. We called and again were told they ran out of time. No effort was made to prioritize our appointment the next day and were told they were busy. This is a short-term rental property and the flies were so bad we were concerned we would have to cancel the next guest. After 10 to 15 minutes, I finally convinced the customer service person to contact a supervisor and to ensure we received service the next day. It remains to be seen if we get service but it is guaranteed that we will not be using this company again.

Used Guardian pest control for 6 years. Our technician ,Bruce, was GREAT. This year we got screwed over and over. Found out Bruce left I don't blame him a bit They charged us $322 to put a couple of gel goops inside our home for ant control. Well 8 days later and they are just as bad as before. Also the exterior house treatment isn't working as good as it did when Bruce did the job as previous years. So ourbill went from $268 each year to over $700 in one year. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM COMPANY AS FAST AS YOU CAN. IM LETTING MY NEIGHBORS KNOW THE SCAM SENARIO BEFORE THEY USE THEM THIS YEAR. 2 OF MY NEIGHBORS ON THE LAKE ALREADY DUMPED THEM. WAY TO TAKE A GOOD COMPANY AND DRAG IT DOWN THE TOILET! Called another local company and to do the exact same job would have been the same price as previous years. GUARDIAN makes you sign an agreement ahead of time ,which I never had to do before and did so because I had NO idea theytripled the rates. Go anywhere but this scam of a business. They lost another long time customer. More to come.

I work for a company that used Guardians services. In 2019 we set up an auto payment system for these services, I called to end the services with them in 2022. I got a call back saying that no payments had gone through since we set up auto payment in 2019 from a mistake made on their end. They then proceeded to tell me that they were doing us a favor by letting us know instead of sending our debt to collections. When it was a mistake on their end. They also stated that they needed the money to pay their staff for the services when obviously the staff was paid in the last 2 years. I tried to speak to the manager of the office but they declined to speak with me about the issue. I was tossed around to multiple different employees that all told me different things. One said I need to remember to call once a month to make a payment for again, a mistake they made. Then I was told billings would call me to set up another auto payment plan so that I wouldn't have to remember monthly. They never called. I spoke with them this morning and they now say I can't be on auto pay because I am not a current customer. They have not taken any credit for the mistake on their end, and it was extremely frustrating to have the manager refuse to talk to me about this. They also said someone would come out to pick up their equipment and no one ever showed. I would not recommend.

We wanted our ant problem taken care of. They never even tried. All they did was put down pest sticky traps once a month and never even tried to take care of the underlying issue. After five months we canceled and solved the problem ourselves. The worst part is a few months after canceling and paying our final bill we received another bill in the mail for "initial set-up" marked as 120 days over due. This was the first time this bill was ever sent and we paid our bill to them monthly on time for five months. I think they were simply upset we canceled our service. Save yourself the time, money and hassle and do it yourself if you have a pest problem at your home or buisness.

If I could give 0 stars I would! I contacted Guardian on Monday morning,. I was told someone would be here to deal with a Yellow Jacket nest under my deck either Monday or Tuesday. They'd call to let me know what time. I didn't hear anything back from them. On Thursday I called and was assured I was on the schedule for some time between 8:00 and 10:30 Friday morning. It's now 4:15 Friday afternoon. I called and that person I spoke to said, yes, I was scheduled, but the tech didn't work today. I do NOT recommend Guardian Pest Solutions at all.
