Quick response from the team for a yellow jacket nest that seemed to be forming in between my walls on my 2nd story eave. Team was quick to come out within 2 days (originally planned for the weekend but they contacted me about a last minute opening a day early which I was more than willing to accept). Christian did a great job explaining what he was doing while being personable. Explained the purpose of their traps and the products used and provided confidence in the experience. Previously we would hear tapping from the yellow jackets in our bedroom on the other side of the wall they were flying in and out of, that night it was finally quiet again. We were already seeing significantly less activity that night and next morning there were no longer yellow jackets flying in and out of the eaves. Thank you so much!! Seems like one time treatment for wasps/yellow jackets is $300 with a 60 day guarantee. But similar work is done with the no contract $199 initial with $59 per month charge for quarterly treatment which we ended up opting for since this seems to be a continuing issue every year. They use a sprayer and are able to hit all areas of the eaves, even some high points which I appreciated. I was initially skeptical as some of my research lead to treatment requiring dusting or even getting a ladder up to inspect the entrance site. My situation may not have warranted that method so the spray method works and is safer for their crew.

I contacted Guard Pest Control two weeks ago about a ground nest of Yellow Jackets that had established itself in front of our home near our front door. They were able to book an appointment for me only two days later for first thing in the morning. Communication prior to their arrival was great and I received a text notification that they were about 20 minutes away. Christian arrived on time and we spoke briefly about the issue. He surveyed the rest of the yard and house to see if there were any other nests or issues and found none. He quickly got to work spraying the ground nest and told me he felt pretty confident they'd be gone by the next day, but it could take a week. I was skeptical of the one day claim, but hopeful. For the remainder of the day, the Yellow Jackets continued to come around, but they seemed quite confused. The next day came and.....NO YELLOW JACKETS. Not one. LOL. Christian was right! Besides being right, Christian was very friendly and answered all my questions and concerns. As for the price for this service, it was $300. That seemed a little high to me, but honestly, I really don't know what the going rate is as I haven't had to hire an exterminator before and I just wanted those pests gone and the Yelp reviews were very positive. It was worth it to me and I highly recommend Guard Pest Control.

This is the 2nd time we’ve had someone come from Guardian Pest Control. As was the case with the first tech, this one also came at the designated time, was cordial, explained what he would do, and answered questions I had. The only difference is that the first time about a year ago required more time in order to fully solve the problem and this time today was quite short and simple. My only suggestion to the company is to come up with a way to have part of the cost (beyond a flat rate for transportation to the job) reflect the actual time taken and the difficulty of the job. The 60 day warranty following the job, during which a call for additional service at no charge may be requested, is excellent and appreciated!

Unfortunately I have to leave this negative review. I paid to have my house sprayed for ants in March, right before coronavirus hit and everything was shut down. They promised to come out and respray after the first application if the ants come back but I didn't feel comfortable having someone in my house during the shutdown. The ants are back in full force and they're saying they want to charge me full price again to come out because it's past 60 days. Not right.

Good Afternoon, As we have previously responded in other locations and as the owner of Guard Pest I wanted to research and respond to your review. It does appear we treated your property the first part of March and as is standard for all of our services also provided a 60 day warranty which would have extended to May 2. We also provided information regarding regular maintenance as the type of ants found were likely to reoccur without regular exterior treatments. It also appears you elected to not choose the plan for ongoing protection. We do understand the concerns regarding COVID and have taken significant precautions to ensure the safety of our customers. Unfortunately at the time you did reach out to us it was August and well past the original guarantee period. At no point prior were we contacted or notified re: any continued issues or concerns for treatment because of COVID. Had these concerns been raised within the stated time period we would have been able to provide exterior treatment, bait stations with contactless delivery, or offer treatment with our technicians in appropriate PPE. However, as was explained by our office it was well over 5 months from the original treatment date and we would need to charge for a new service at this time. Our office did extend an offer for a discount for the service.I am sorry you have concerns with our process and our goal is to always resolve the pest concerns of our clients. We offer one of the longest guarantees for service in the industry and would have been glad to address your concerns for safe treatment but unfortunately we cannot extend our guarantee for indefinite periods of time without communication during the covered period or an ongoing contract.

Charged $249, did no inspection. Did not do what they said they were going to do.. I called and told the receptionist that I was going to cancel my service after being with this company for 2 years for another issue and she didn't even care why. Would not recommend them

Update: Refunded $250 that I requested since I felt I got about $100 worth of service. I am satisfied with the outcome all things considered. Price for service is $350. This is supposed to include 90 days of followup, which I confirmed was supposed to happen about every 2 weeks and that they would be responsible for calling me and setting them up. Kevin has only come out once since I hired him to place the initial traps at the end of April, and we've caught only one mouse that by the time he came out was nothing but a poof of fuzz after the maggots got done with it. I've got 1 month left on my 90 days and I'm quite upset that I've been allowed to fall through the cracks after spending so much money and the assurances they gave about what I was paying for. I have no idea what the status of my traps are. I had a bout of blow flies a week or so ago so, I wouldn't surprised if another mouse has been allowed to harbor maggots and hatch them in my basement again. They get 2 stars, but only because when they did come, they've been knowledgable and have given good advice, but apparently that's where their service ends. Frankly could have gotten that advice on Youtube and the internet for free. But I thought I was paying for a service to have my problem taken care of and followed up on with them maintaining their placements for 90 days. So far though the flys and maggots have done a better job of keeping tabs on the dead critters caught. Thank god for them or it might stink to high heaven in here.
