Much to my horror, I had a rat in my house that I saw on my nanny cam. It was absolutely the most frightening thing I've ever experienced. I had a friend who recommended Get Smart Rat Solutions so I contacted them. Brandon came over immediately and took control of the situation and was able to get rid of the rat in the house, and the others in the crawl space. He is an expert and totally trustworthy. It's been six months since the horrible rat fiasco, and there has been no further incidents. I can't recommend his family business enough.

This is our second time working with the team at Get Smart Rat Solutions. The first time was a great experience, and they handled the issue quickly and professionally, and their rates were comparable. Their results lasted more than 5 years... that alone was well worth the cost of their services. Living in the country is an ongoing battle with rodents and pests. They damage your property and populations can get out of hand quickly. So at the first sign of another issue, we called them again and will continue with them for preventative services. They have been great, and Im so thankful for their help. The only reason for 4 of 5 stars is that I think communication could be more timely in some experiences, but honestly, that's it, otherwise I would give 100 of 5 stars. I have recommended them to friends and family for pest/rodent control work. Thank you Get Smart!

Get Smart has been a great company to work with. We have utilized their service a few times. Each time we have used them, they have been professional and attentive to our needs. We live in a rural area, and have ALL of the varments. My Wife even calls Brandon "The mouse whisperer"! This is a wonderful family owned company who puts customers before money. Our prices and services are custom tailored to each individual customer in order to meet the needs and expectations of our customers! We also pride ourselves in being able to customize rodent and animal strategies so that no customer ever has to violate their morals. We even offer behavior modification solutions so that no animals and rodents may be removed from the home without killing!

Very poor results after 8 months of "service". I called them due to holes in back yard and seeing one rat one time. They placed bait boxes after inspecting crawlspace and attic. I continued to get more holes and never an answer to what rodents were making the holes. Decided to cancel service after $80 a month after 7 or 8 months of dealing with them and was charged after I cancelled. When I reached put to Brandon about getting charged again, he had all kinds of excuses, that they had been out multiple times and I wasn't charged, although the monthly cost was not per visit. Then he proceeded to tell me I'd need to move my septic tank and drain field if I wanted to not have rodents, which are not even in the area, at least 300-400 feet on other side of house and I have no activity around that area. He got very defensive and blamed me for his inability to resolve, figure out or improve the rodent hole situation.

My wife and I were in the process of buying a home to start a family. The house had a flooded crawlspace, which we highlighted during inspections. We obtained professional recommendations from crawlspace specialists, which were shared with the sellers. They claimed the issue was "fixed" and urged us to expedite the process, which we reluctantly agreed to. Upon reinspection by our trusted friend, a licensed contractor, it was evident that little had been done. Water was still pooling under the moisture barriers, the insulation was reused despite previous water damage, and signs of mildew were visible (all documented with pictures or video). The company that performed the work, Get Smart Rat Solutions, confirmed over the phone that the crawlspace should have been fully dried before repairs began—but that clearly hadn’t happened. The company owner later became defensive, contradicted the invoice we received, and dismissed legitimate concerns about the quality of work. Further research revealed connections between the seller, their real estate agent, and the pest control company—raising serious ethical concerns. It felt like an attempt to cut corners and misrepresent the home’s condition. Based on this experience, I strongly advise caution if considering services from Get Smart Rat Solutions, especially in third-party scenarios. Their website suggests they may perform better when hired directly, but our experience left us deeply disheartened. Interestingly, the house remains on the market with a $5,000 price increase.

Would recommend looking elsewhere. My experience with them left me feeling some shady business practices may be going on.

Noah kills it. Literally. I have a phobia of rodents and Get Smart was recommended to me by a friend. I’m so grateful. A father and son who know their business and do it well. I can’t recommend enough. They came in with a plan, got right to it, and my problem is gone. Thanks guys.

We found a hole in our roof. We were afraid squirrels had chewed through. We called this company and they came out promptly. Upon a thorough inspection owner Brandon found no evidence of squirrels in our attic. The inspection was free, and our piece of mind is priceless. Very impressed with Brandon and his company!

We had a serious rat problem and they eliminated it quickly. Highly recommend.

I used their service a couple years back and after using other pest companies, I realize how much they overcharged and performed unnecessary services. They also do not understand how best to manage pests--did not check for openings and didn't seal it up first before they placed the bait boxes therefore further attracting mice and resulting in mice dying in the crawlspace. And then they recommended renovating the entire crawlspace due to the infestation which resulted in several thousand dollars of work. I never write reviews but I am writing to warn people and I highly recommend you get a second opinion before using this company.

The Kids that work for/With are extremely Professional and Respectful. They worked their butts off, and we definitely appreciated their Professionalism and effort. However the management part of the company is lacking. We went for 3 weeks without hearing anything from them (as they were all sick). They helped themselves to parts from our kids playstructure, drilled holes in it,to secure the deck. They did order new pieces, but to get the part #'s I had to do the work to find it for them when I shouldn't have had to do anything. We were told they'd clean up the urine, and feces smell from under our deck, and that did not happen. Anytime we've called nobody answers, and when I've texted a question no response. Again, the Young Men are great, and I'd recommend them anytime, but to go through their current management, I suggest calling somebody else.

Inner SE Portland is a cozy place for rats; old houses, lots of construction, broken sewer lines and chickens. We finally decided to call a pro for help and had great results in a short period of time. Brandon and his sons are professional, prompt and responsive. They got rid of the rats with knowledge and hard work. I’d absolutely recommend them to anyone. Don’t mess around trying to fix this complex problem yourself. I’m so glad we called them and I’m thrilled with the results.
