I used to love this company, they used to be thorough at each quarterly visit and prompt to come out in between visits if we had an issue. In the past few months we have had a rodent problem, in the garage and exterior of the house. They are supposedly treating for mice around the perimeter of our house but when an issue arises we cannot get them to come out to re-treat despite multiple calls and texts for weeks. From their website : "5. Post-Treatment and Prevention Follow-Up Visits: Scheduled as needed to monitor and adjust the treatment. Prevention Tips: We offer advice on preventing future infestations through structural changes and sanitation practices. 6. Continuous Support Ongoing Support: We remain available for any follow-up concerns. Satisfaction Guarantee: We back our service with a satisfaction guarantee, ensuring your rodent issues are fully resolved." They are not adhering to their stated policies. They claim to be so fully booked they cannot even stop by to check the bait stations or our garage despite being long term customers and paying for quarterly service. Sadly, I would not recommend this company anymore.

Hi Alyson, thanks for your feedback. Looks like we discussed getting you on the calendar for this week but just need to nail down the time. Unfortunately when you texted this evening it was already after 5pm and the office staff had gone home. I’d love to get you on the schedule for this week and I’ll call tomorrow. Thanks!

Todd

I’m happy to report that after four years of service, Issaquah Pest Control remains a local, trustworthy, and effective pest control company. When a problem pops up, like sugar ants or wasps, they respond quickly. Their office staff make a special note of my concerns and requests. Their techs are personable, kind and respectful. Bonus: most everyone at the company seems to love dogs.
Provider response
Thank you so much for your kind words, Krista! Our technicians and office staff strive to always go above and beyond and we are so delighted to have had you as a customer for all these years. We really appreciate you. Please give the doggies a nose boop from us!

We signed up their service and automatically paid them every quarter for the quarterly check-up. We are working parents and don’t have time or bandwidth to manage appointment scheduling. They have been proactive on scheduling quarterly check-ups until the last Q4 when they didn’t show up. But they did reach out to me afterwards and proactively explained what happened and offer a mitigation plan.

Updated: they reached out to us promptly and rescheduled the next appointment quickly. They told us that it was a software issue that a group of customers didn’t get the service without their attention. We appreciate how they handled the situation and followed through. Thank you for the great customer service! Original: Don’ pay for their quarterly service. They never show up again since we registered back in September 2024. The scheduled appointment date is postponed each time I checked the portal. We continue to pay monthly but get no service at all

Todd came out to my house to investigate and he provided me a detailed quote to remedy my rodent infestation. He was professional, helpful and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this company.

If you're reading reviews to find the best option, this is the one! Issaquah Pest was the 6th company I called, but it was worth the research. There's no upselling, no pressure to establish an ongoing contract, and they were so easy to work with. Isaiah agreed to add us on to the end of his already full day so that we got same day service, and then was great about explaining everything when he arrived. Everything was efficient and easy. Then at the 2nd visit, Kirby could not have been more helpful. We're really impressed with this company.

I sure love this feedback. Being fair and friendly top our priority list! I’m so glad we were able to help. - Todd

Always quickly response and on time!

Thoroughly inspected areas that had been invaded by rodents, sealed entries and monitored the areas to ensure that the rodents were effectively excluded. Gave a thorough report of conditions and gave recommendations for rehabilitation. Update: When we recently suspected a reinfestation, they came, laid traps, and confirmed that there was no rat activity. They also made sure we knew about condition issues in the crawlspace and checked to make sure that there were no new entrances. They're friendly and excellent at communicating at all steps of the process. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.
Provider response
Hi Jim! You wonderfully explained all that we do to make sure you are taken care of from start to finish! Rodents can be one of the worst pests to deal with and we strive to cover all the bases to make you feel comfortable in your home again. I am so glad we were able to help!

We have been with Issaquah Pest Control for about three or four years now and have appreciated their regular service and callback policy if we have a problem between appointments. They are very concerned to do right by their customers, and we plan to stay with them.

I have the subscription service with Issaquah Pest Control and they are great!! We have sugar ants and lots of spiders in our area, so we get the quarterly perimeter spray and bait traps. Whenever we see a critter in the area, I can just call/email them and they'll be out FAST - usually next day - with the recommended treatment. I feel very supported by their service!

I caution you about hiring this company unless you have time to manage them yourself and spend hours of your time making sure the job is done correctly. I’ll be as brief as possible. Hired this company for normal service, they forgot rodent bait stations (according to the tech, who I approached during our service) and we got a rodent issue. They recommended a 3-hour healthy home inspection to determine what work needed to be done to prevent future infestation. This was a decent experience, the tech recommended replacing our vents, rebuilding our crawl space door and replacing the vapor barrier. They missed the garage weather-stripping and attic caulking that a previous tech had pointed out, but I figured we’d focus on securing the crawl. Estimate for those two jobs was about $4k in total. Expensive, but I thought I was hiring the best. They came out to rebuild the door and replace the vents. Instead, they stapled mesh over our existing vents (see pictures) and cut a piece of particle board for the crawl space door ($500 just this part, photo with blue frame), and put a 4 foot piece of steel pest block over one of my 1-foot long vents – without asking – instead of replacing that vent. They said the estimate didn’t include the extra digging/work that vent would need to be replaced – how is that the customer’s fault? The tech also explained that he would have built the door better “had he known more” before he came, and we would likely still experience water issues. I also found a dead mouse in our yard that day that I assume they’d drug out from the crawl. I couldn’t believe the “quality” of work and escalated to the manager. It took a full week and multiple reminders on my part to get a call back (I had already paid in full). The manager promised they’d come back and replace the vents and fix up the crawl space door, including installing new trim “as a favor,” and we’d get a discount after he investigated what went wrong. A week later, the manager was supposed to call me back before they came again, we had a call planned for 10:30 and he didn’t call me – he said he had it on his calendar for 11:30, I count this as another miss and proof the company is broken from the top down. Instead of doing the job correctly, the techs installed vent covers over the old vents, again. They also fiddled around with the door, added two uneven handles to the particle board and used interior molding to frame the door, which I had to pay to have replaced with proper outdoor materials from a different company (photo with white moulding). I wish they hadn’t even touched it because they clearly didn’t know what they were doing. I was promised a discount and never received one. I also feel like I was harassed by the manager and “another owner” to get on the phone after I told them I couldn’t invest any more of my personal time into resolving these issues -- I'd already spent 10+ hours documenting and discussing their errors. I work full-time, I don't have extra time to manage their business. I paid the full bill and cancelled service. They have my card – if they wanted to grant me the refund/discount, they could have without having another phone call with me. I think this is their MO – poor work, hope you don’t notice, if you do notice, multiple phone calls and delays to “make it right,” hoping it will also shut you up. That’s the only way I see all of these reviews being so high. BUYER BEWARE. I will never work with this company again and I’ve told my neighbors, friends, family and now you to STAY AWAY unless you have endless money and patience for a job done poorly. Super disappointing.

Hi Sarah, I just shot you a text. This is not the experience I expect any of our customers to have and I definitely won't charge someone who is unhappy with the quality of work we do. Expect a full refund!

I get that things don't go well sometimes but we will always strive to "make it right" with a dissatisfied customer. It's just how I was raised! I'm sorry if that came off as harassment.

I hope we have a chance to talk more about it. I'm always making strides to take better care of our customers and I'm sorry we fell short here. Issy Pest and their multi-visit approach seemed reasonable, but a few days after their "warranty", pests returned to our home - squirrels in the attic. They had set giant spring traps, appropriate to rats, not tiny squirrels or mice, and left them in the attic and under the house after their departure. They were picked clean of bait, but if they had caught an animal, it would have rotted under the house.
Provider response
That's not what I like to see, Larry! Thanks for letting us know we missed the mark. I'll call you tomorrow and we'll get it sorted out.

- Todd

10/2/2023- Watch out, they walk all over other peoples property, not just the shared property line, however technician proceeds to walk to opposite side and bring two white buckets and poles and spend time on that side. Went back and fourth 3 times. Technician did not ring our door bell until after he saw our side gate camera, not acceptable or professional. What was in the white buckets? Video sent to Jennifer at head office. Waiting for a call back.

Hi Brandon-

Thanks for the feedback. As we discussed last night, this is a simple case of having the wrong address. Chris spent less than 3 minutes on your property before realizing he had the wrong house. No pesticides were applied and no harm was done. We wish you all the best.

Todd Bosteder, Founder & Owner

Extremely bad instance of a service despite spending 1 hour on phone 2-3 weeks ago just explaining the issue so they understood and take care of rodent issue in living areas inside house. They did not even bother to enter house. On top sent me their invoice for payment for such a bad service.
Provider response
I am so sorry that this was your experience. We would love the opportunity to make it right!! A manager will be contacting you today.

3 times now I have gotten poor service. I have given up on your company, even discussed the issues with manager Jordan and he blamed us for all the problems. When I get my receipt it indicates they have done all this work but nothing was done because we watch them do the service.
Provider response
Rose, we were forced to terminate your service due to the abusive behavior toward our staff. We will never condone that. We wish you the best of luck.

I would not recommend this kind of service where the company does not take ownership of what their technicians are communicating to the clients. Their staff are not their representative and hence they will all keep changing their words. It's the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. I had some rodent issue last year in my house and called Issaquah Pest & Home services. Getting an appointment was easy. The technician arrived and said he had to do some follow up and explained some package for quarterly service. We Immediately signed up for the service and the technician came again to inspect within a week. We were told if we didn't sign up then we will have to pay some $X for the first service and it will be considered an ongoing process so we had to decide right away. After signing up for a package that was explained to us, we never received any follow up calls from them for almost a year. Now when we tried calling them ourself, they say that that technician is no longer with them and it was a miscommunication and all the money we paid was for just the three visits. I did tell them that the technician left the house saying that I didn't have to call them and they will call back and schedule.
Provider response
Hey Bhageerathi! I am so sorry to hear that this was your experience. We will be reaching out ASAP to make this right!

I researched the reviews of pest control company and selected Issaquah Pest & Home Services to deal with my stink bug and spider issues. But after the 1st service, I was disappointed with the results. We have a detached garage, and there seemed like many stink bugs under the eaves and top air outlet. They fly between the garage and the eaves on the second floor, sometimes go in to the room. I called the front desk and made an appointment for the service and then the inspected finished up on Wednesday. But till yesterday, I found that there was no change for my serious stink bug problem and the number hasn't decreased at all! And also, there were still some spiders are hanging from the pine tree in front of my house. To be honest, I'm not sure if the inspector checked and make sure the top place was sprayed with the pestiside. After all, I can DIY by myself for the first floor bug issues so that I expect to have the professional service for the better results. So I called the front desk and was told that I need to wait for more couple of weeks and wait the stink bugs to touch the pesticide and they can't control the new stink bugs flied from other places. But the truth is the weather is getting cold after a couple weeks and the bugs definitely won't come out. What about the current problem I met with? I'm pretty sure that they are not new and are multiplying under the eaves. Till now I'm still troubled with with the stink bugs. Overall, I won't use and recommend their pest control service.

Extremely unreliable. I called Monday morning and got an appointment for Thursday afternoon. I had the situation mostly under control but needed a professional to do a thorough extermination. I get a text Thursday morning informing me that they can’t make their appointment. It was my fault for thinking they are professionals (when clearly they are not) and not making backup arrangements. Hope their ability to do their job is better than how much they care about their customers. Thanks for the wait and inconvenience.

Felt it was a rip off and more small talk. We had an issue with mice. They came and put a few victor traps. That helped catching a few - problem remains unresolved. I then bought and put my own victor traps. The victor traps are available at many stores at less than 2 usd. I got them for $1.85 at Lowe’s. Felt no need to pay 300 plus dollars 💵 for them to come , do their martketing spill , put the traps and come after two weeks to remove them. Invariably, the mice is caught the first day itself and the customer is the one disposing it off as they cannot wait for two weeks. These guys have an additional 75 usd charge if you ask them to come and dispose before two weeks. Value for money is rediculous.
Provider response
I'm so disappointed to hear this! Of course customer satisfaction is my top concern so I'll reach out to you after the holidays and we'll find a way to make things right! Thanks, Vijay.

- Todd Bosteder, Owner
