I will never use this company for anything ever again. They came out to do trapping. Two weeks worth and left my gate open. My dog got out. Didn’t even inspect my attic. Didn’t show up two days. They are so over priced it’s crazy. I have to call to see what they have done when they were here. They don’t Communicate what they are doing when they are at your house. They only send a text say finished.I would not recommend them to anyone. 800 dollars

We DO NOT RECOMMEND Summit Environmental Solutions. We experienced serious issues with communication, scope clarity, and accountability. We hired Summit to address water intrusion in our basement and to perform mold-related work. As part of the plan, Summit’s project manager explicitly discussed using a fogging sanitizer to “kill the mold” and told us we would need to vacate the home with our pets during application. We later learned—only when we called to schedule the fogging treatment—that Summit claimed the fogging had already been completed. Their written invoice also included the line item “apply fogging sanitizer to basement.” This was alarming because it coincided with a strong chemical odor in our home and new health concerns that arose immediately after their crew finished work. We have text messages from the project manager stating that the mold was “dead” and confirming the treatment had been done. After we raised concerns about the timing and potential exposure, Summit changed their position and said the fogging had not been performed. Throughout this process, Summit provided conflicting explanations about what work was done and when. Also, they were unable to identify appropriate certified oversight for mold remediation, despite having represented mold-killing treatment as part of the scope of work. Two independent remediation companies later confirmed that Summit’s proposed approach was insufficient, and we ultimately had to hire another certified firm to properly remediate the space, including removal of walls and performing HEPA treatment. Only after our firm insistence, Summit eventually offered a very limited discount for the issues, but never acknowledged or apologize for the confusion, protocol concerns, or the impact this situation had on us. We pursued resolution through formal channels, including the BBB and state agencies. Based on our experience, we DO NOT RECOMMEND Summit Environmental Solutions. Anyone considering them should be sure to get all representations in writing, independently verify certifications up front, and ensure there is no ambiguity about what services will actually be performed.

Jason did a magnificent job and did it right the first time. He took care of my pest problem (dead bird in bathroom air duct that released a horrid smell when running exhaust fan). He cleared and sanitized the air duct as well replaced the bird guard 20 feet in the air in 100-degree weather. Thank you very much, Jason!

Firstly, would like to say that we used Summit last year to repair the foundation wall of our basement. They did an excellent job and were very efficient. So its unfortunate I have to leave this poor review for them. We decided to use them for termite treatement of our home, which dragged out to be a three week ordeal. The morning of our first appointment we were contacted and told we would have to cancel due to their technician called out sick. We were rescheduled later that same week. Technician came out, trenched around the outside house and drilled holes in our garage floor to insert poison (standard stuff). Halfway thru drilling the needed holes in the garage floor, the large drill bit gets stuck in our floor and cannot be removed. Technician tells me he is done with the exterior but will need to come back in a couple days to try and get the drill bit out of the floor. Meanwhile, the several holes he did manage to drill were left uncapped. He never advised when “a couple days” would be (date or time). Meanwhile, I am emailed an invoice bill to pay the remaning balance due. Uhhhh, ok, the work is not even done yet. So we called Summit front office and told them what was going on, they setup a return date for him. Second trip, technician is able to remove the drill bit, drills more holes in garage floor, adds more poison, says he’ll be back again “in a couple days” to finish capping the holes with concrete filler. This time, I asked him for a specific return date that we needed to ensure we would be home to allow access to our garage. Also, concrete dust and wet leftover poison left in the garage floor had to be cleaned and swept up. SMH. The front office calls and sets up yet another appointment date. Also, contents of our garage all pushed into middle of garage for three weeks to allow access to the interior peremiter of the walls and concrete floor area. When the technician dug the needed trench around the exterior of the home on the first trip, he just kicked the dirt clods back over into the trench he made. I had to get my work boots on and finished stepping on the ground and using a 10 lb ground tamper I had to mash the ground dirt back into place. I guess if a customer was disabled or elderly, they would be out of luck and just have huge dirt clods and unfinished dugout ground around their home. Day three, tech returned and gotta be the sloppiest job I’ve ever seen done filling concrete holes. Looks like he used some kind of epoxy, smeared all over the floor and majority of the holes not filled all the way. I will go get concrete filler and finish the job correctly. Long story, but wanted to detail my experience. I would NOT recommend Summit for termite services. I was very much unsatisfied with what dragged out for 3 weeks and $2200. Plenty of other termite services in Fredericksburg area I would attempt to utilize before ever calling Summit.

I had the opportunity to work with Jason at Summit and I had to make sure to leave a positive review. He and his whole team have truly gone above and beyond. I have been living in my home for 10+ year and I know little to nothing about repair, maintenance, etc. something I'm working on!! For that reason, I do have a lot of questions and basic understanding that I need to better understand to really know what is going on in and around the home. Jason and his team members (when I call in) have been beyond patient with me. It is clear that they take pride in what they do and have great camaderie and respect for their organization. The degree of thoroughness missed with customer service patience. Just really stood out to me. Made it super easy to make a decision to work with them on our roof and repairs needs! I look forward to working with this group more in the future. 10x stars from this experience.

I couldn’t be happier with the work Summit Environmental did on my home. I had been dealing with water intrusion, high humidity, and signs of mold in my crawlspace for quite some time. The team came in, assessed the situation thoroughly, and recommended a full encapsulation along with a sump pump installation. From start to finish, the crew was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly. Joseph was great, he answered all of my questions, explained every step of the process, and made sure I felt confident in the work being done. The crew worked efficiently, kept the area clean, and the finished encapsulation looks fantastic. Since the work was completed, my moisture problem has been completely resolved, no more damp smell, no more mold concerns, and my crawlspace is now clean, dry, and well-protected. Summit Environmental truly went above and beyond, and I would highly recommend them to anyone dealing with crawlspace moisture or mold issues.

How would anyone else rate a company that DESPITE specifically calling in to request a service and asking that my call and service request NOT be given to their sales rep/ area rep Joe, gets a call from that very employee, Joe, only to be told he requested I am put in the do not service list after he had a team meeting with his management. HA! Wow…is that not pretty pathetic for a company to do. Not one single other employee of Summit ever tried to speak with me. Not one. My low review would have been just of the one employee but now it seems I need to include my low review of the whole organization seeing as I was given no additional space to address my concerns or requests. Ladies, if you live in Alexandria and need a service provided by Summit I’d seek assistance from ANOTHER company because the service rep Joe is who you would get and he has been nothing but condescending, impatient and all around gruff throughout each dealing I have had with him over the few years I have tolerated it. FYI I hav me an encapsulated crawl space which they installed six years ago when I purchased my home. It is shameful the company chose to do this. Just shameful.

Summit Environmental Solutions(SES) are the BEST. Professional, showed up on the agreed scheduled time. Some other companies had employees that showed up with estimates as if they were God themselves. NOT SES. From every phone call too the actually work, we're pleased with. Trust me. Go SES. If you go with a company representative that states they trained "EVERY PERSON in the Tri State area" RUN. GO SES

My experience with SES began when I needed insulation added to my crawl space, all while participating in a 6-month pest control program to deal with some unwelcome visitors. Thanks to Jason and Carlos, who truly took the time to address my concerns, those pests are now a thing of the past. TERRIBLE experience with summit environmental solutions. We found 2 snake skins in our basement and asked for someone to inspect for snakes. The guy barely inspected the basement and we had to ask him twice to inspect the exterior, garage, etc for entry points. He was very short in his inspection a claimed he didn’t find entry points however we have had snakes come since then. He tried to get us to sign up for monthly snake pest control services and was extremely pushy, got mad and frustrated when I said I needed to think it over and talk with my husband and basically said we will keep having snakes and fear for my life if we didn’t use his services. It was clearly a commission/sales pitch and not actually trying to help the situation. At the end of him finding nothing he made us pay a hefty fee, almost $300 for doing nothing. He would only waive it IF we signed up for monthly snake services for the rest of the year (note: there are companies that do free inspections/quotes so this is a huge rip off). His name was Chris Bradley and he was extremely rude, pushy, and unprofessional. He even left the snake skins and didn’t remove them.

I called this company to discuss preventative measures for snakes. Instead Tom Yendall insisted on not setting up snake traps because it would simply attract more snakes to my property. He looked up and suggested I put a cage on top of my roof to prevent other animals from entering my attic. I found a snake at my property 3 weeks ago and had to call another company to remove. I wish more preventive action was taken here instead of instilling fear leaving me waiting for a snake to arrive as it did.

I called them over for a mice problem we were having. They never showed up for the quarterly inspections. The first time they came, they performed a very rudimentary inspection and quite honestly their overpriced solution is nothing more than what you can do yourself with a couple of traps from home depot for a grand total of $10. Very non-responsive. They were graceful enough to waive the cancellation fee though since they realized that they had missed all their quarterly inspections. That's the only reason I'm giving them one star.

we had squirrels in the attic, the sales person told us they would disinfect the area after squirrels are removed but didn't write it in the contract. have called them at least 5 times to come and disinfect and no one responds to me.... I paid over other estimates because I like the fact that they were veterans working for this company, I would think twice before hiring them.

I feel like I was robbed. I requested a trapping program because I saw a raccoon go in and out of my attic. I understand to contract states "number of catches or guarantee of catch is not included in this program"... But I feel like I paid $700 to have a trap sit in front of my house for 5 days. No one went into the attic to check, or even onto the roof to inspect.

Came out twice couldn't find snakes or entry points in an empty rental property. After they left each time I went and removed the snakes myself. Several hundred dollars wasted. Hired another company and they showed me entry points that were extremely obvious I'm surprised I didnt see them myself.

Had one free estimation recently. those people exaggerate the problem and try to make money out of nothing. I only ask for removal squirrels at balcony, but they insist there are squirrels in attic and try to make a big business out of it. when I check the attic later myself, there is really no traces/signs of animals.
