Bat πŸ¦‡ Watching πŸ‘€...

Wow! What an experience πŸ‘πŸ‘Œ We waited for probably a good 30-45 minutes but when the bats finally came out....INCREDIBLE!! It was so cool to see the food chain from a different POV. We stood on the bridge but there is also a grassy knoll to sit on....also dog friendly. Do recommend getting there in enough time to go park.....it was about a good 10 minute walk. Best part is its FREE!! Can't wait to go back πŸ™Œ

No parking near this bridge, available half mile away by buffalo bayou parking. We didn’t see any bats in the month of October.

This is the spot to watch the nightly bat flights. There's a small exhibit explaining what's happening with 3 panels (similar to NPS). You should arrive 10 minutes before sunset or earlier for a spot on the grassy bank. It's heaviest for about 10 minutes. There is a smell depending on the wind direction. Parking is very limited. No water or trash.
