Atlantic Pest Control Inc

After using APC for 5 years now we have decided to part ways. when the service started it was ok but now its become a problem. the first technician we had lied about spraying our house ( who happens to be a neighbor) and would sit home all afternoon while he was supposed to be working. We switched technicians and the service improved for a while but now they are missing appointments and not calling us. This is unacceptable from any business that deals with the public. I would avoid using then as a pest control service since they are unreliable and don'r care if their employees work or not. Customer service is nonexistent and they are rude when you call to complain in fact we were fired because we complained about a missed treatment. We will look for a pest control company that actually does what they say they will do.

We've been a customer of this business for 11 years. When they first came to the house and performed the service, we asked the technician how we should pay and he replied "a check is fine", so that's how we paid. This year when they came, my wife had left me the credit card we use for house bills before she went to work. When it came time to pay, I presented the credit card, the technician advised that they don't take credit cards. What business in this day and age doesn't take credit cards? I told him that my wife had the check book and he replied that he needed to call the office. He went outside to make the call and a few minutes later came back in and handed me the phone and said that "Mike" wanted to talk to me. I took the phone and said hello and the male voice at the other end of the phone started yelling at me, saying "You know that you have to pay by check - you've always paid by check", and his tirade continued. He finally stopped and I told him that we didn't know that we couldn't pay by credit card and he again launched into another tirade saying that we did know. I reminded him that we've been a customer for 11 years and that we weren't deadbeats. I handed the phone back to the technician and he again went outside. He came back in and told me that they would finish the work but that I needed to have a check for him the following morning, which was done. I asked him who "Mike" was and he told me that he was the owner. We're locked into a termite contract with them for another 8 years - unfortunately, but when it expires, so will our relationship with Atlantic Pest Control. The owner was totally unprofessional and rude. I do not recommend doing business with this company, there are many more out there that I'm sure are customer friendly and professional.
