Black's Pest Control has been my go to for years. The owner Bernard Black is super knowledgable, informative, responsive and environmentally minded, all of which are important to me. Their service has been reliable and I like supporting their small, owner-operated company. It's a thumbs up from me if you're looking for a great company to work with in the PDX area.

I had the best experience with Black’s! They were recommended by a friend who is a realtor so I knew I could trust that she knew who to call. They were so kind and the technician was super knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. He really went above and beyond. Their rates are really reasonable and I loved that I didn’t have to sign a contract.

I'm writing this review to praise Black's Pest even though we didn't end up going through with the service. I was unaware of the difference between pest control and wildlife control, so I called Black's Pest for a potential squirrel issue in our attic. The technician came out and was really kind and professional and took the time to answer all of my questions. He informed me that since we didn't know for sure they were squirrels that they could try handling it (since there was a possibility it was rodents). After a few visits it was clear to both of us that it wasn't a rodent issue and I was referred to a wildlife company that they work with. After having the wildlife company come out, we were up against a squirrel issue that will cost us thousands of dollars with trapping, sealing entry points and electrical damages. I was worried that Blacks Pest was going to charge for the full service that we'd been quoted even though essentially all that took place was setting a few traps in our attic and checking those. They were very kind to offer moving the service to a general year round pest control service or cancelling all together for no charge. Due to the unforseen costs associated with handling our squirrel situation, we will not be moving forward with any service at this time, however their response left me extremely impressed with their business and customer service. They could have easily charged me for the service that was incomplete and I'm sure many companies have done that. My husband and I plan to use Blacks in the future for all of our pest needs. I thought I'd share because I appreciate their integrity as a business!

Wayde the service tech came to our home and treated our ant problem. We had another company come 3xs in 6 weeks and the problem never got any better (their company name rhymes with Borkin). Black’s was easy to schedule with and work with…and their prices were great. I have since hired Black’s to treat my rental and they made suggestions about “other critters I was concerned with.” I would definitely hire & recommend Black’s in rodent and bug problems again and again!!

Bernard is very knowledgeable and experienced. He found the source of the moth infestation in my house and disposed of the items and treated the areas. I feel much more at ease now.

We have used Black's for about three years now. I was particularly impressed with the technician (Bryce) today. I was in a rush, and he was helpful and independent. He closed all doors and gates that he opened (hate when people don't).
