Andrew C. Came out for a revisit to help control an explosion of ants. Answered all my questions and put down bait where the ants were entering the kitchen and bath. The ants around the bait but we're gone the next day.

Our tech Dalton was great! He came by for our regular service appointment and I mentioned we recently noticed some ants in a couple areas. He treated the areas, explained the process and made sure to answer my questions. I can tell he takes pride in his work and Barrier is lucky to have him representing the company. Thanks again Dalton!

We had so many ants, and Barrier got rid of them. We tried to get rid of them on our own, but couldn’t. Tyler Ludvigson and I had a great conversation. His knowledge and customer service was great! I will definitely continue to use them.

I wanted to share how much I appreciated the way Mason from Barrier Pest checked out the problems I was having with rodents he Searched out where they were located And set traps and cleaned out an area that they seem to be hiding in… I greatly appreciate how diligent he was going through this room that The Rodents have been in! Professional, polite and always tells us exactly what is going to be done when they arrive. Our technician Dalton , made sure to ask if we had any concerns or questions. They always come back if we have an issue before our next service. That’s only happened 2 x since we started service 3 years ago.
Barrier has been very good with controlling our issues with ants. Their technicians are very professional and knowledgable. They are happy to answer any questions and addressing any new problems. Shout out to our last technician Daulton Mokisang thank you!

Dalton Makisang takes care of our huge commercial building as well as my residence, hands down the best of the best at his trade. Informative, and never takes short-cuts like other pests control services in town. I am so thankful for this company and their hard work to keep the buggies away!!
Had an unusual amount of sugar ants in the house that the DIY treatments didnt fix. I've used pro's in the past and have always had good results after a single treatment. Barrier, like many companies these days try to talk me into a yearly treatment plan so they get guaranteed income without any guaranteed results. Instead, I pay for one treatment which included one follow up, expecting at least some relief from the problem for a while. Instead, the ant problem is just as bad, and I paid money for nothing. I called and asked if they stood by that kind of service and was told I'd need to sign up for the yearly service to get more help. Makes me think the initial treatment was not conducted thoroughly so the customer is forced to keep paying for more.

We never recommend 1-time services for ants, as that will not take care of the total amount of ants & those unhatched dealing with the full life cycle of many ants. If you would please call our office & ask for a manager, we would be happy to come out 1 more time FREE of charge to treat & explain the full treatment program necessary to help take care of the ants & those unhatched. We cannot reach out to you or look you up in our database to verify you are a customer as we do not have your contact info attached here on google & do not know anyone under the name/account "spidertactics".
He was great. Forgot to tell him about rat traps, so I don't know if that was done

They have been to out to our house multiple times because of rats under our house. They refuse to do anything but check their traps, that aren't catching anything, and their bait boxes, which aren't being touched. I have lost so much sleep over the last few weeks and have begged them multiple times to please do something. They are doing absolutely nothing to help the situation. I am beyond furious that we now have to take matters into our own hands again.
I was a loyal customer of Barrier Pest Control from 2023 to today, October 22, 2025. Initially, their service was excellent, with all promised tasks completed on a quarterly basis. However, over the past six months, there has been a noticeable decline in service quality. Services included in the package were not fulfilled, and I did not receive any kind of communication with an expected window of time frame for when the technician would be arriving. I had to make several reservice appointments, which are never available the same week. After today's unsatisfactory service, I decided to cancel my contract. I requested a partial refund for my last bill, which was denied. Honestly, the last 6 months should be refunded, if they took the time to look at my account and see how many times I have called for the same service that has not been completed. Based on my recent experiences, I cannot recommend this company, as customer satisfaction does not appear to be a priority for them.
This business is not as advertised, has the WORST communication and scheduling system, and the lady who answers the phones will call you three times in an hour on a workday if you don't schedule your appointments on their timeline.
I was given a time window of 8AM - 10AM for their arrival. I specifically told them they do NOT have permission to access the property without someone there. The tech came at 7AM and walked right into our yard through our closed gate with signs on it, past our open bathroom windows, past people sleeping in their beds. Didn't even knock. Could have let our dog out into the neighborhood. Very very uncomfortable and would not recommend them.
I had to cancel my pest control service with Barrier due to receiving military orders requiring relocation. I provided two months’ notice, assuming this would be a smooth process—especially since military members are supposed to be protected under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA). Unfortunately, I was still told I’d need to pay a cancellation fee to end the service early. After mentioning the SCRA, they followed up with an email offering to “meet halfway,” which meant we still had to pay half of the cancellation fee. This has never happened to me before with other pest control companies—I’ve always been able to cancel without issue when moving for military reasons. I was disappointed by the lack of support and understanding from Barrier, especially given the circumstances. I’m writing this on behalf of other military members who may be considering this company in the future. I hope Barrier takes this feedback seriously and reevaluates its approach to better support those who serve.
Was having a lovely morning drinking coffee in my bed w my dog and a book and was interrupted by the sound of something spraying. Look outside to see a guy spraying pesticides all over my front door and my front grass. I hopped up and told him to hey dont be spraying that in front of my house. He SMILES at me and tells me this isnt my house, continues spraying right outside my front door, and says that he was hired by property manager and comes every month. Ive lived here for 2 years and NEVER has there been anyone spraying pesticides anywhere on this property. The "technician" was incredibly rude and im disgusted at the disrespect he showed me. I then called my property manager and she told me that i should call the police because she did not hire anyone for pest control. Unbelievable
Repeatedly have tried to get a hold of Barrier regarding a referral for a very close family friend. When I finally reached out and got a hold of somebody, she said that it would take three weeks to get the tech we were requesting. When I reached out to the technician, I was greeted with a rude remark and very evident that they do not place very much emphasis on referral based business. Getting a hold of this company when you have an issue is a long drawn out issue. They do not ever answer their phone. They will only call you back. It doesn’t matter what time of day you call. I have been a customer for easily eight years and it has become a parent to me that they do not value repeat business. It’s super unfortunate. I don’t typically take the time to write negative reviews however I feel that other people need to know what their business model is. Definitely not referral based. I have asked to speak to the owner but Darla has refused.
I have nothing good to say about Barrier! Last Spring they came around door to door and convinced me they could take care of my wasp and yellow jackets problem as well as keep the mice away from my property without using harmful chemicals that might hurt my pets! Immediately after signing the contract I realized I was still under contract with another company so I promptly called them and asked them to cancel my service. They basically said it was my fault, which I admit, but they wouldn’t cancel without a steep cancellation fee which I was not willing to pay for as they hadn’t done anything yet. They then proceeded to come out literally within days of the other company giving my pets a double dose of pesticides! I tried multiple times to get them to cancel but was still met with the same lack of empathy for me and my pets! Once they even called and left a message they were coming out to spray on a holiday when I had a BBQ scheduled, but of course calling back trying to cancel was futile and they still showed up! I sent them away and I told them to never come back again! They have continued to bill me and I have continued to tell them to stay away. Finally, they sent a bill for $285 total with a copy of the contract and a note stating they would cancel my service, but first they were going to charge me $120 for my last quarterly service even though they’re not planning to do it (and I don’t want them to do it) along with a $165 early cancellation fee! I am not going to pay the early cancellation fee as this would have been the last visit! I feel they have very poor customer service and I advise anyone thinking about using them, do not sign that contract!
We live on a 10 acre estate in Wilsonville and needed help with mice entering our air bnb guest cottage. I've used steel wool and other remedies with possible holes etc. I also used Western Exterminator with little help to solve the mice issue entering our guest cottage. My parents used Barrier with their home in Frog Pond and they recommended Barrier. Once they arrived I had to sign a 12 month contract before they would perform any service. Once the service was completed the Tech had no recommendation on how to fix the mice issue. He had no recommendation on how the mice were getting into the Cottage and only assumed "maybe its from the roof". I asked "if it is the roof, what can I do" response "I have no idea, maybe call a roofing company". I air bnb my guest cottage and I'm left trying to solve this issue myself and I'm out $225 for zero service and help. Barrier's main goal is to have you sign a contract to ensure you have a monthly subscription service for spray insect help and provide zero help with anything complicated. Not recommended.
