Robert the service technician who comes to service our home is excellent and always calls in advance to set the appointment and then shows up on time. He explains what he's doing and is always willing to answer any questions we may have. I have been with Modern Exterminating for several years and I love the fact that they are a stable company, they have not had a lot of staff turnover, only one change in all those years. I have only had to call the office once and the office staff was very helpful and pleasant when I called. This is a great company!

I think it's very unprofessional that I was trying to pass one of your drivers so I could turn into the backway to Walmart and he sped up so fast and then stayed beside me so I couldn't get over. How is that okay? I wasn't trying to race him. I needed to switch lanes and he was going extremely slow until he realized I was trying to get over. That's very dangerous also because he was riding the back of a vehicle in front of him and slammed on his brakes to make a turn. I don't appreciate that.

I requested someone come out to my home for wasp over a month ago and was told they would send someone over. I then preceded to wait 2 more weeks and no one ever contacted me or stopped by to exterminate. I called again requested the same thing 2 weeks after i initially called and the lady told me who i spoke in the beginning was fired and was told someone will be out soon. It has been 3 weeks since I last called and still no one has done anything. I was willing to be understanding but it has been almost 2 months of waiting for anything to be done.

Jessica is amazing. She has a wonderful personality, and had no problem coming back once when the first treatment didn’t work as well as normal. The office staff could use some help on professionalism, but Jessica is the sole reason I can overlook their lacking skills. * Jessica is no longer with Modern Exterminating now I’m leaving. Poor Customer service, terrible, terrible customer service. The owner apparently doesn’t care because he did not even try to reach out and talk to me about what happened. He took his office staffs viewpoint and I have canceled my account. they were rude and condescending. They tried to hold off on their guarantee and not treat My home. The treatment does not last 90 days as they promise, And if you have them come back, they will charge you for it. Where is the guarantee? I guess with Jessica left they got rid of it.

Had the mole treatment plan. The cost was $400, however the treatment that modern use for bait only cost $20. I bought traps and got rid of the mole myself. I request to cancel plan and paid $300. However, was still charged/ billed for the entire $400. Do not use modern. Go out and purchase traps and bait on Amazon, it’s a lot cheaper and works a lot better than Modern plan.

We have been using Modern Exterminating for a yr & 1/2. I have repeatedly called them to ask them to please either text us with a heads up when they are coming out to spray or ring the doorbell when they get here. We need to know because we have dogs that could get out if someone opens the gate when they are in the yard so we keep the gate locked. We also need to know when they are here because the dogs should not be around the chemicals for at least an hour after they spray the yard. We never get a text, a call, a doorbell ring….nothing. We have never had a company that didn’t let us know when they were coming to do the quarterly treatment and we don’t think it’s too much to ask. So frustrating….thank goodness we will be moving soon!

Two appointments scheduled for pest control. Two no call no shows. In my business that means your fired. Company allows their technicians to schedule and manage their own appointments without what appears much if any supervision. I'm not sure how they stay in business. Stay away.

We transferred warranty with Modern from the previous owner. This time they're asking for an additional $350 to spray. B&T offers more than just termite control so I put off the renewal of contract. Received a $150 bill in the mail for an inspection that I did not authorize. This did not include any spray. So I told the rude representative to cancel my contract. She was more than happy to do it. Poor customer Service. Poor professionalism in billing and notifications.

Called them and left a message and even filled out the information online for service to never hear back from them. I called to get a rude lady talking down to me saying the tech will contact you when they have time. That was Tuesday and here it is Friday. Guess they have enough money and don't want to work. Found someone better that called back the same day and was out to spray the next. But looking through the other reviews that are not 5 star this seems to be the way they do business.

I have used this company for five or six years and the service seemed to be adequate up until last week. I called the company the week of June 15-20 and told them I was selling my house on July 1st. I asked for a quote on what it would cost to transfer the service to the new owner. The receptionist told me it would cost $10 to transfer the service and $45 for the termite inspection required for the buyers VA loan. I thought everything was fine until I looked at the final closing statement and realized they charged me $193. When I saw this I was immediately upset because I felt like I had been mislead on the pricing(my Realtors pest control company offered a good deal but I chose to stay with Modern due to the price she quoted me). I called the office and spoke one of the office receptionists. We went back and fourth and she told me there was no way one of the other receptionists would give me a quote like that. As you can imagine I didn't appreciate being called a liar or being mislead intentionally on pricing. We went back and fourth and she told me the owner would call me to discuss (he never did). As a long time member of the Military, Integrity is extremely important to me (I don't appreciate having mine questioned in the manner it was). I don't normally get upset over pricing as long as the company is up front on what the cost is and stands behind their product. That is not the case with Modern Exterminating! There are honest Pest Control Companies out there but this is not one of them. Choose who you pick wisely and don't go off inflated google reviews, (when I asked around after this happened I realized I had been duped by the inflated reviews when I choose the company). NEVER AGAIN!

Absolutely blown away by the business ethics of this company. Charged me for the previous owners fees and instead of changing the costs they told me it was a "reinstatement" fee instead yet the charges never changed. Never paid the $300 charge for one year and they sent it to collections without a contract but just a receipt for inspection to make sure there are no termites. Be careful using this company do not sign anything unless you plan to use them!
