I was a loyal customer with Thomas Pest Control since 2020 to keep my thermite warranty. When the company was acquired by bigger one I had zero communication informing me about this or any changes to my services. Only after 3 months of coverage lost I found out they sent me email that I don’t have in my inbox. It’s not the way do the business.

UPDATE: the company contacted me and agreed to a partial refund since we were so close to the beginning of the contract year. I upgraded the review from 1 to 3 stars. It’s a shame I had to give a negative review before they took action, but at least they were reasonable in the end. —————— When we had termite trouble last year, Killingsworth/Thomas treated it, but did not mention that the treatment supplied at construction lasted only 5 years. Now, at year 6 we had trouble again. It took weeks to get someone out to verify that what I saw was termites, and several more weeks to get service scheduled. Meanwhile, I paid my annual renewal because it came due. We decided to go with another company because we were dissatisfied with their lack of advice and slow response. Even though we were only 10 days into our annual contract period, they would not issue even a partial refund of the $192 annual charge. The contract states no refunds, so it is legal. Just wanted to warn anyone else who has termite service with this company.

I have used Thomas Pest Control for over 10 years. Not one issue during that time. Now that Killingworth has taken over not only has the price gone up, but communication is lacking . I was overdue for my quarterly visit. So I called to ask when they were coming . The response was they were coming that day. No notification at all. I was on the fence about changing companies. I think now is the time.

I have been using Thomas Pest Control for quarterly pest sprays and with all the heavy rain requested an additional spray as we have had a lot more spiders. Mike Boyd came out on time and called in advance and swept with spider brush each window sill on patio and sprayed inside and outside thoroughly! Starting using as a quarterly service. Decided to not use after the second quarterly treatment as I was concerned with their professionalism. They enforced that feeling when they contacted me to schedule the 3rd treatment and I informed them I was going to use another service. They threatened to bill me for two more treatments stating I was stopping the contracted service. Customer service is lacking.

The pest control service that was provided to my home on two occasions was great. They arrived within the designated time frame and were very professional. The technician we had was Jonathan, and he was great as well. He thoroughly explained what was being done, and he made sure that my family had everything they needed to leave the house for a couple of hours. Kind technician and excellent service.

We canceled an upcoming service due not being home as we had requested interior and exterior. I told the receptionist we would cll back to reschedule but we may not as we were moving out of state. Low and behold they came by and did an exterior service without any aged appointment or phone call. I spoke to Katie Lynn who was rude, obnoxious and unable to answer why they would just show up to do exterior without any call as they have in the past. We have no written agreement with them. Buyer beware..there are more reputable pest control companies in the area.

I am very dissatisfied with Thomas's service. After 2 1/2 treatments, I still have an ant and spider infestation on exterior/interior of my home. My home is less than a year old and the techs the company sent out to treat, all had different opinions on how treat the problem. I hired a new company and after one treatment, my problems were solved. I WOULD NOT recommend this company!!!

With all of the other pest/termite control companies out there I would never recommend this company. They "treated" our new home and in less than 6 months we had 4 termite colonies, as well as 1 that ate through the baseboards in our house and formed a colony inside our dining room. When we contacted them, they came out once and performed a VERY subpar service, and when we contacted them again about trench & treat, they said that they didn't have to do it according to the law. They continue to deny our requests for our termite bond, as well as a record of our initial treatment for our home, so it is reasonable to assume that they did not treat our new home, hence why it is infested in under 6 months of us moving in.

We became customers of Thomas Pest Control in March. Right way we had problems. A technician came out and was extremely rude and sprayed chemicals 10 inches from myself and my 6 month old child while we were sitting on the porch waiting for him to complete the interior spray. I tried to get out of the way and even asked him to stop spraying and he didn’t. Then we find out that when we had a spider mite infestation that was even around the back door, it wasn’t covered under our pest plan (when I was told every bug except for bees and any flying insects was covered under this yearly contract) and we would have to pay an additional 150.00 for them to come out ONCE and treat for spider mites. They couldn’t even guarantee how many treatments it would take and wanted an additional 150 PER TREATMENT with me paying quarterly for their pest services. I was shocked. I could understand if we weren’t a contracted customer with them, but we are. I called two big pest control chains and two family owned chains. I explained my situation to them regarding the spider mites and thomas pest control and they said that was their problem and they needed to fix it because it’s a pest and they are your pest control company. They said they could come out no problem for us and treat the issue for a one time fee of 150.00. Two of them even said multiple treatments, if needed, would be covered in that fee. Two of the companies even came out to make sure the insect infestation we had was indeed spider mites. I called Thomas back and explained the situation and they said sorry. They told me that I could pay 150 and maybe have the problem fixed but that since that chemical was in the “big trucks” and we would “need to treat your whole yard”, I was expected to pay 150 additionally. I asked to be let out of my contract after paying for another quarter in June and was told that no one could make that decision because the owner was on a fishing trip and wouldn’t be back until Monday. I find it sad that the owner isn’t confident enough in his employees to make decisions regarding contracted customer service issues and that their customers have to wait on his excursions to end in order for business to be conducted as usual. I am throughly disappointed in the service, customer service and over-all job that this company provided. In the past two days, since this issue arose, I have hired a new pest control company that came out three times and treated the spider mite problem. They came out that day and took care of everything. Thankfully I found a reputable company that knows how to treat their customers fairly.
