It was great meeting Jeremiah my technician today. He told me what treatment I was receiving and was kind, friendly and did a thorough job. Thank you!!
Always excellent service, thank you! Joe Ingram was the tech today and as always, excellent job!

We appreciate your business, Chrissie! Thanks for taking the time to post a review. We are happy to hear that you had a great experience with our crew!
I recently switched to Pine Valley Turf and unfortunately the service I am receiving is terrible. All the new grass is dying and was told "someone would reach out". I keep getting gate-kept by a Noah in their sales department who assures me that someone will call back. Unfortunately, nobody has called me back. I'm not sure how you charge someone over $300 to earate & seed and not provide an ETA for someone to come out and determine the problem. Unsatisfied with their response, I attempted to call them several times in effort to get in touch with somone else besides Noah. They decided to block my number from calling them. ***Update*** While I appreciate your reply, perhaps you missed the part where your employees blocked my number. I’m unable to contact your office. ***Update*** Pine Valley Turf has turned me into collections. They have never responded, reached out for an amicable resolution. The owner, David Miller is also unresponsive despite being on the email communication.

Joe does a great job taking care of my lawn. The grass is greener than it's been in years. I love it! Keep up the good work!
Darius is very thorough and seems to use every resource at his disposal to resolve your issue or have your lawn looking as beautiful as possible.
Pine Valley Turf Management, LLC has consistently provided excellent lawn care. Their professional and friendly staff have met all of my landscaping needs. They have given me a beautiful yard, one I can enjoy throughout the year! Michael Smothers has done a fantastic job, keeping my yard looking great with his recent service.

Great and professional service as always. Darius Skinner was very friendly, let me know they were here and what they were applying.
I’ve used Pine Valley (was Secure Turf) for some time now. They keep our yard looking good and under control.
Joe from Pine Valley Turf does a good job with lawn care and I highly recommend Joe and Pine valley turf !!
Very efficient with the work.
Jalen and his team trimmed and shaped my Crepe Myrtle trees. They maintained the natural canopy of the trees by carefully selecting the branches to cut. I appreciated their willingness to discuss with me some of the less obvious areas of the tree before cutting.
Great job by professionals. Very pleased.

Thanks for the feedback, Jay! We are so glad that you had an excellent experience with our crew.
Darius’s was great! Explained everything he was doing with the service and why he was doing it. Also explained what the next service would be. For first time customers of Pine Valley this was really great. Thank you.
Very prompt and courteous as always! Darius was great!
Joe with Pine Valley Turf did a great job treating my yard today and he was very helpful to answer a few questions I had about trouble spots in my yard. Thanks Joe!
Jeremiah was very thorough in applying the application. He made sure that the appropriate areas--avoided shrubs and flowering plants-- were covered.
Thank you to Jalen and Pine Valley Turf for the excellent work and attention to detail when spreading my pine straw today! I highly recommend their services.
We had Secure Turf for decades and always had wonderful monthly service year round. I can’t remember the last time Pine Valley was here. We used to receive a set date for September aeration and seeding - it’s October and nothing has happened. The only dependable thing is that they take their monthly payment out of my credit card every month. My friend called them 3 times to see about having her yard aerated and they never returned her calls.

We’re very sorry to hear this and understand how frustrating it is to not receive the dependable service you were used to. Your concerns are important to us. Please call our office at (704) 412-4311 so we can make this right.
Probably the worst business I have dealt with as far scheduling goes. I called numerous times and was never called back. They would just skip months of my scheduled service and still try to charge me. My lawn looked the exact same after 5 months of treatments. Would definitely not recommend!

Hi Stephanie,

We’re sorry to hear about your experience. We understand your frustration and apologize for the scheduling and communication issues. This isn’t the service we strive for, and we’re reviewing what went wrong. Please feel free to contact us at (704) 412-4311 so we can make it right.
What a supreme disappointment. Our next door neighbors recommended the company for lawn maintenance and twice monthly mowing, trimming, weeding, edging. We called. They surveyed our land online and even sent an aerial picture of our property with an estimate that included several different lawn treatments and aerating but did not provide monthly mowing and trimming rates. They told us on the phone that if there were services on the estimate we did not want, we should let them know. When we told them we were interested in all the listed services but weren't interested in having our lawn aerated (for nearly $400) their reply was, Sorry, your home is out of our mowing service area , despite the fact that they provide monthly service to our neighbor and knew exactly where we lived when they provided the estimate.
Response from Pine Valley Turf Management & Design
We’re sorry for the frustration and confusion. While we do our best to serve nearby homes, route and crew availability can limit where we offer mowing services - even if it's just next door. We appreciate your feedback and are working on improving how we communicate service areas and estimates. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to learn from this.
I recently called Pine Valley Turf to get an update on a quote that they had previously given me. I was told at that time that I would soon receive an email with an updated proposal. I waited several days and called back to follow up on my request. During my first followup call, I was told that this was Pine Valley's busy season and that the person that I needed to talk to would be out for a couple more days. I asked them that if they were too busy I would just call someone else. The person that I talked to insisted that they wanted my business and that a proposal would be coming in a couple more days. After 10 more days of waiting, I called back again to check on the proposal and I was again told that this was Pine Valley's busy season and they would get back to me soon. In total, I waited about 3 weeks for an answer that never came. At this point I felt disappointed and misled. I would have appreciated if Pine Valley told me to find someone else instead of having me wait for an answer for 3 weeks... an answer that never came. You may be thinking ... Why did I wait so long for an answer? Why not move on to someone else? Here's why ... I supported Pine Valley for a total of 15 years at 2 different locations. I tried to be empathetic and initially overlooked their lack of professionalism and regard for a returning customer. Shame on me for being so patient and giving Pine Valley another chance. Save yourself time and frustration and call a company who values it's customers.
Damaged a patio when they aerated yard. I was told no problem they would repair. Been almost a year and no repair has been made. Untill this happened I was pretty well satisfied That`s ok if they don`t want my money, I`m sure another company will. Ethics count in my book.
Miscomunacation on the work that needed to be done paid for half of the service, spoke with Drew because they were going to to the wrong thing thought we had it worked out got back home the bed that they made is to big and on my property line ( brim) didn't get anything done to it so there is no flow to the shrubs that were planted and the bed that was made. Be careful because once you pay your money there is no follow up communication, weather your pleased or not there is no further review of what was done. I get this a lot with companies now a days they want a check, and charge to much for work that is sloppy done. Want be using this company again. And yes I wish I had used someone esle to. But for sure next time I will review and inspect any work that is done on my property and I did not ask Drew to go across property lines that was my property in between two stakes. But I will be sure not pay someone for work until it's done and to my liking weather you stand by your work or not.

Hope,

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience. When providing a landscape quote for any customer we require a signed agreement and a 50% deposit to be scheduled. If you had felt like the price of $713 was too high for a days work for our team, materials, labor and debris disposal fees was too high I wish you had chosen another provider. We stand behind our pricing.

In regards to the berm and the property line Drew explained that we are unable to complete work across property lines without written permission from the other property owner. This issue comes up occasionally. We do not violate others properties even though it is frustrating for the person that wishes we would. In cases where permission is granted we gladly proceed.

Your project was completed on March 27th. On March 28th Johnette in our office emailed you to see if you were pleased with the completed work. This is normal procedure and this is how you received the link to provide the review. We received a response from you on April 15th. Your requests were addressed by Drew and we are yet to receive a response. The request of putting back grass that was removed was not possible nor was returning old pine needles that were disposed.

We wish you best of luck in future landscape needs.

David
Pine Valley was contracted through our HOA and ran over a sprinkler head in our front yard mowing. Instead of taking responsibility they tried to place the blame on a fencing contractor who installed a fence in the back yard. Their "marketing" person said they would make it right by reimbursing part of my astronomical water bill caused by the leak on the sprinkler head. When I followed up with them regarding the reimbursement I've gotten no response. This has been going on since summer of 2018. Wouldn't recommend based purely on the customer service we received.
Response from Pine Valley Turf Management & Design
Patience,

Thank you for your review. I personally repaired both of the breaks in the irrigation system. Where the head is located on the surface is connected by a pipe at the base of the head and that pipe connects to the main line for the zone. Both of your breaks were directly under the new fence. Broken pipe was laying either side and just buried. The HOA representative was brought over and shown the exposed pipe and fence prior to the repair. The pipe was repaired at no cost to you even though the damage was clearly caused by the auger used by the fence installer.
Home irrigation systems are not a pressurized system as found on a golf course. What this means is water only flows to a head or a break when the zone is scheduled to run by your controller. No more or less water would be used than normal without a break in this location.

David
This lawncate service is horrible! Our lawn has never looked so bad, unfortunately we paid the contract in full or we would have fired them a long time ago. Can't wait for this contract to be over. NEVER use them if you care anything about how your yard looks!
If you are looking for a lawn maintenance company, I highly recommend you look elsewhere. I had Pine Valley give me an estimate to fix by back yard - I had very little grass and had several runoff ditches. They said they could 'rake the dirt' and that would level out the ditches and do a seeding to grow grass. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and had them do the work. They DID NOT rake any dirt, and just put down some grass seed. They DID NOT give me any sort of watering instructions and so obviously nothing grew. I did manage to get them to do another seeding - it took several weeks of pestering. And so I was forced to grow grass in the middle of the summer of 2014 and spend $300/mth for water. I had signed up for their "premium lawn care" package which included a seeding/aeration and two "spot-seedings" per year. Early spring of 2015 I called them to see when I could get one of my spot seedings - they said it should be within the next month or two. Two months later I still had not received it and called them back. They said that I WOULD NOT receive spot seedings in the spring time. They said my package only included one spot seeding, and that I would receive it in the fall at the same time they did the normal seeding! What??? I cancelled my service on the spot. Incidentally, the summer of 2015's hot weather killed nearly every blade of grass that Pine Valley had planted. How did it die so quickly? Did they even put down any fertilizer or lime or organic compounds? I doubt it. My lawn is now full of crab grass. Long story short - I wasted every dollar I gave Pine Valley Turf management. Instead of a beautiful lawn, I received a huge headache. Steer clear!
I am writing to explain the recent inquiry I had with this organization. On Thursday, March 19th, 2015, I contacted this business inquiring about an Angie's List special they have for 4 man hours of Lawn and Yard Debris. When speaking with the representative on the phone, she confirmed this Angie's List special. I told her I need this help, but I wanted their employees to spread 10 yards of cedar mulch which I was going to supply. Or if they could supply the mulch at a competitive price their business could have the entire contract. I waited until Monday, March 23rd, 2015, for a response. I finally called back and had to leave a message. I also called back 2 other times on Tuesday and left a message. Finally someone responded mid afternoon on Tuesday. They did not have the answer to my original question from 5 days earlier. She said she would get back to me. Once she did get back with me late Tuesday afternoon, she proceeded to tell me the price to spread the mulch I provided would be $499. I confirmed that was for the labor only. She said yes. I was willing to make an understanding about the lack of communication if the price would have been the advertised price of $249 on Angie's List. But at a price of double for what took a business last year to do the same work in 2.5 hours is an extremely poor business practice. It's very confusing how their business has such high ratings on Angie's List if this is the way their business is run. I originally sent this same information to the business via email earlier today and requested a manager get back with me before I posted this on Angie's List. They have not gotten back with me as of 5:44 p.m. I have since gotten a quote for the same work to be performed for $210 by another well rated Angie's List company
