After 7 weeks of dealing with a mouse in my apartment and I called New York Exterminating, Inc. Alex was fantastic. He took the radiators off and found 3 holes that the mouse was traveling through and sealed them. He also went behind the dishwasher and found a hole the mouse had made. Before he left. He laid glue traps and other traps of all shapes around my apartment and the mouse was caught by 6am the next morning. SO effective. Also; I texted NYC Exterminating, Inc. around 9pm the night before, and they arrived right on time at 11am the next day. I’d recommend to anyone.

This is a long detailed one for those of you that really want to know whether this is worth your money. I called Jorge the same day I moved in after noticing what seemed like a small roach infestation. Never having dealt with roaches I was pretty shaken up so Jorge made sure to come to my apartment for treatment within 12 hours of me calling him. If you are looking for someone who takes this profession serious, Jorge is your guy. I am someone who likes to understand each part of a process and without me even having to ask, Jorge provided extensive detail and history on the bugs I was dealing with and the treatments he was going to provide. Given his background in environmental science, you can tell that this is truly a passion of his. Overall he provided a thorough 3 step treatment to my entire apartment, at an extremely fair price might I add, that was tailored to my exact situation and level of infestation. I mean he was literally measuring and mixing the solutions in my apartment after assessing the extent, which made me feel like he was genuinely taking in all of the important details in his approach. Better yet, I was able to see it work in real time, I mean all the bugs I didn’t even know were there were coming out of their hiding spots and dying within 10 seconds, no signs of life or movement afterwards either. I was worried about whether it would actually work for my situation, given that German cockroaches are notoriously hard to get rid of, but I can tell you without a doubt, it has. One of the things I loved the most is that Jorge sets real expectations about outcomes. In pertinence to my situation, He let me know that around 98% of the bugs will be killed by Step 1: sterilization, and any small amount of residual bugs that I see for the next 2-3 weeks will either die by Step 3: Gel bait or they will die within their lifespan, but will be unable to reproduce due to Step 2: the hormone inhibitor. He was indeed correct. I have only seen 2 additional bugs (trust me I check every hour or so, which before the treatment, I’d find a bug every single time, so this is a huge improvement!). Jorge will now be my only pest controller, I won’t even let my apartment treat my unit anymore. I am extremely happy with the service and will be recommending him to anyone that needs a pest controller who actually cares.

Jorge is extremely knowledgeable, effective, affordable, and excited about his work. He showed me that there’s a complex science behind bug behavior which if understood, can squelch infestations. I’d never had a roach problem in all the years I’ve lived in NYC (60) so naturally i flipped out when i started seeing them in my bathroom and kitchen - seemingly out of no where. He implemented a multipart treatment, explaining everything he was doing, and got rid of the roaches entirely. I was so impressed by his work, that my neighbor and I now have him working on the persistent rat presence in our backyards and i’m suggesting that he take over my coop’s extermination contract. On top of everything, he is courteous, punctual, and a pleasure to work with. I recommend him highly!

His pricing is refreshingly honest. The follow-up was already covered in what I paid the first time—no extra fees, no surprise charges, he just came back and finished the job like he promised. That kind of straightforwardness is hard to find. Jorge’s also a genuinely nice guy—friendly, easygoing, good-natured, and doesn’t make the whole pest situation feel like a big ordeal. He even threw in a couple light jokes while he was working, which actually made the whole pest situation less stressful. The evening visit was a huge help for me, and he did it without any hassle or attitude. Really reliable and clearly stands behind his work. Jorge did a marvelous and tedious job in my apartment and showed this hidden battle we were facing with few events of mice in 11234 area, not knowing that they were many entry ways in a house. Jorge was patient and sealed like 5 heat vents and more that were used as tunnels with his expertise. Very courteous and educated my family and I on these pathways that are always overlooked.
