First Choice Environmental

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! Please forgive the delay in this review, I toiled as to whether I should do it but you be the judge. Since being in my building from 2015, the management company (Fisher and Associates) has retained First Choice Environmental as its pest control company. We moved in Feb 2015 and in April 2015 we had a slight roach problem though we were not cooking in the apt until 4/2015. This was clearly the lax cleaning methods of the building (poor trash room maintenance etc). Since then my wife and I decided to get service every 2-3 months and even 1 deep extermination in 2016 where we left the house for a day. Each time, we had a kind Pakistani gentleman to service our place. THE PROBLEM came when the roaches were getting in through holes in the radiator vent and under our door from a poorly kept trash room next to our apt. In JULY 2017, I requested another personal deep clean service with my landlord and Mr. Albert called me and stated : “the technician will be out to service you first between 7 and 9am on July 23rd.” Despite it being our anniversary, my wife and I agreed that it would not hinder our plans and we needed it. When 9am passed I called Mr. Albert’s cell with no return call after 4 attempts and 2 voicemails. I twice called the company number and spoke to a nice lady named Jamie who tried to help but said that the technician was on another call and I was next. THREE HOURS LATER (12 noon), the technician came and serviced our place as we left to replan our ANNIVERSARY. ALBERT did not call to follow up on the service as he had done with past services because he knew he was wrong and just allowed me to be on the normal rotation times of the building. I work in hospitality and we are taught that COMMUNICATION is your most important tool. It is over a year later and I have yet to receive a call or any form of apology. That is why I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

This company is a life saver!! I was in bedbug hell! I came home from time away and my Sublet had left me an infestation. I had to go to an Urgent Care because I was so covered in bites. It was awful. My building hired someone, who although was nice, accomplished nothing. After 3 visits from him and my entire life in garbage bags, I called First Choice. They sent someone the next day, who was kind and understood my craziness.(I was feeling bugs on me where ever I went, and couldn't sleep) When I came home that night, after First choice's treatment, I actually saw dead begs all over my floor. I did not once see that after 3 visits from the buildings exterminator. It sounds silly to be so excited about a floor covered in dead bed bugs, but finally some relief. My building paid close to eight hundred dollars for their guy. I paid around half that for 2 treatments with efficient service, visible results and actually nice people. I always heard that a bedbug experience was bad, but its actually worse than that. If it wasn't for First Choice Environmental I truly would have lost my mind and scratched myself to death. THANK YOU.

The guy they sent was not thorough: he only found two of the many holes in our apartment and he didn't even fill those with steel wool like you're supposed to.

My husband and I hired them to get rid of a bed bug problem we were having about a month ago. We started by talking to the people in the office. They were knowledgeable and pleasant and were able to put my mind at ease that this problem would be resolved in the fastest most discreet way possible. We had a few complications on our end and needed to reschedule 2 different times and they were so patient! That was only the beginning. Their Technician was WONDERFUL! He was right on time and since we had almost everything ready by the time he got here, but we were not quite finished so the tech helped us finish packing up our bags before we left and treatment started. He answered all of our questions and again made me feel comfortable. We left and came back after the evacuation time and couldn't smell a thing! I had the same pleasant experience the second time around. My problem was no more after the second visit and we haven't seen one since! Thank you First Choice for giving us our life back. After 6 months of torture, we can sleep soundly in our own home.

THis company is very expensive with a good custumer service that can talk you into their deals. I hired this company to treat a bed bug in one my buildins. They did a terrible jobs. They keep coming but could not get rid of the bed bugs. Now they want extra money for extra visits. They are incompetent.Please think before hiring this company. There more affordable companies that very efficients.
