We reached out to Alleycat Exterminating when we began to have some more visitors in our apartment of the mouse and roach variety after our cat died. Don talked my husband through some steps we could take to try and plug any holes and fix the issue on our own if we wanted to but after finding a few more bugs we decided to make an appointment to have professionals help. Lauren stopped by, did a thorough check of our whole apartment, and ended up calling in someone else to bring additional materials to help ensure our problems were solved. Both she and her husband (it's a family business!) did a great job explaining what they were doing, what they were using, and answer any questions we had. The traps they leave behind and poison they use are childproof and pet safe, and also placed in ways to limit chances of small kids or pets to even get to them. Their fee was incredibly reasonable, they're communicative, and I finally feel like I can sleep a little easier. They'll be coming back to check-in in a few weeks to make sure there are no new signs of anything and discuss any next steps as needed but we are feeling optimistic and taken care of by friendly, reasonable professionals. Very much recommend them!

I called Don who kindly informed me that he serviced the Brooklyn area- fact that I already suspected. As we know, Brooklyn is the New York City borough that has the largest geographic area, so it is totally understandable that he may not be available for other locations. Anyone else would have ended the phone conversation at that point, but he genuinely wanted to help me. He generously shared his time and unparalleled wisdom. Coming across as a total gentleman with impeccable listening skills, I did not even notice when roles reversed as he began asking me questions. I never felt judged or concerned he would dismiss any novice attempts to resolve an unprecedented situation. By the end of the delightfully useful exchange of ideas, he recommended a gem of a person who did not let Donnie down. However, Don asked me to "please" call him back if the geographically closer recommendation did not respond in the expected timeframe. Good people associate with good people so that was not the case for the record. As one reviewer stated, this transparent sense of ethical business practices makes global citizens proud to support small business owners whose mission it is to help and not progress at our financial and psychological expense.

Don is thorough and he’s very friendly. We thought we had mice in the attic, but he went in and showed us it was squirrels and/or birds. He was very professional and pointed us to the right person. Thank you!

Don knows what’s he’s doing!! I called him after making eye contact with a mouse hiding under my oven, and a day later Don came and thoroughly checked my apartment for holes, patched them up, laid traps of all kinds and within days, all signs of mice were gone. And said if I did hear another peep, he’d come back right away. Also, definitely the best price amongst other businesses I reached out to. On top of that, Don had a genuinely kind, trust worthy and friendly presence— I know who to call next time :)

Been over a month since Don came in and did his work, and we haven't seen any pest since! Don is extremely knowledgeable and thorough; he found nest we didn't even know were in our apartment from before we moved in. He's also thoughtful and fun to talk to!

Don is a 3rd-generation exterminator pro and all-around solid human being. He's extremely thorough in identifying the mouse-friendly nooks and crannies, offers free advice, and committed to getting the job done. On top of all that, he's a master storyteller and I could listen to him all day. Can't recommend him more highly. Don is the man.
