Scheduled an apt to have an inspection done with this company. They sent me a window of 2 1/2 hours and told me that the inspector would call half an hour before arriving. An hour before the end of the window I called just to make sure that everything was OK. I left a message. Half an hour later I called again no answer again. About 15 minutes later, just before my inspection window was almost over I get a call from them telling me that they had a truck down and we’re now not going to make it. The woman on the phone said the truck had went down in the morning, which meant they had to rearrange their day to try and fit everything in. She did apologize and tell me, however he was not going to make it during our scheduled time. I asked if he could come in the next 45 min, this would have been an hour after our scheduled time. She said no they could not. Issue here… I had been waiting since 8:30 for them to arrive. If they knew the truck was down in the morning and knew they had to rearrange the schedule why didn’t they call me in the morning vs waiting until I called them twice to check in at the end of my inspection window. I had explained to the woman when I booked the apt I had a deadline of the 12th, today, and that I really needed this done. She had also offered me two times when I booked, morning and afternoon windows, and I explained the afternoon would not work as I had to be at my other business location, which is why the morning window was booked. Had I been notified that the inspector was not coming in the morning I could have made other arrangements. But now I’m left scrambling in the middle of my day trying to figure something out and having to rearrange my mind and my employees schedules. Common courtesy and professionalism would have been very much appreciated here.
