They sprayed my highchair with pesticides and then when called out the technician then said he was too scared to come into my unit. Oh and he brought someone with him unauthorized into my unit. Extremely unprofessional and careless. Not sure how they have 4.9 stars.
Great service. Fast removal. Professional. Absolutely would use FireFly again
Top notch company!! Great locally owned family business!!
They killed the yellow jackets real good.
We met Adam and his team many years ago at our prior property that had a large number of bats living in the soffit, fun times. He was very detailed, transparent about what they did and why, and took care of the issue. After we had another pest related issue a few years later, we decided it was worth being a permanent client. We couldn’t be happier with how responsive, professional and reliable they are. We’ve referred them to a number of friends and everyone has been pleased.
Firefly did an amazing job. I contacted them about a yellow jacket problem we had in our garage and they were at our house first thing the next morning and took care of it right away. I would definitely recommend them.
We have been customers of Firefly for years and they always provide excellent service and very reasonable rates. We would highly recommend them to anyone for all your pest issues. Thanks to you guys as usual!!
They just showed up unscheduled and sprayed my house . Not ok! Windows were partially open. My husband is end stage of a lung disease and it was spayed right at his room trim getting under the glass (this is blocked when I know they’re coming!). Not to mention a fast food delivery was sat in the chemicals because I didn’t know they were coming nor did the delivery driver (obviously). I went out to grab food and stepped in chemicals , lifted my bag (wet), saw the guy and asked him why he was here and that I never scheduled. He said they put me on his schedule. Wth. They called merge beginning of the week to set me up for a spray. I told them it’s not a good time and to call back about setting up for the following week, yet here they are on Saturday spraying my house with me unprepared, like I said, my husband is end stage lung disease.
Came next day after I called Margo came and assessed what was needed. Applied the needed applications. Very professional and efficient.
We saw what we thought were termites in our yard. Firefly came out promptly and did a thorough inspection of our home and property. Derek was knowledgeable and honest with us and answered all our questions and gave us a very fair price. Much better than the company we originally called. Someone referred this company to us and we are very happy with the results. Highly recommend Firefly---great local company.
Excellent customer experience!! The Firefly Team members are always Friendly, Knowledgeable and quick to respond to any of our pest control situations. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of pest control problems.
On point professionalism from the initial phone call. The owner, she addressed all of my concerns and questions with patience and expertise. When the tech came to my home, they were friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. I will forever recommend this company.
Company was very reasonable with pricing beat others out by long shot. Very pleased from start to finish with services from John and helper as well as booking appointment with Adam . Both were professional and knowledgeable answered all questions and concerns that I had. Definitely will be recommending to others in need of there services.
We love supporting other small businesses and Firefly Pest Protection Services is a fantastic team! They are quick to respond with any requests, are friendly and professional and excellent in their service. As a small business owner myself, I highly recommend them for both your residential and commercial needs.
We recently had a mouse infestation, and Firefly Pest Control was excellent. Their technician took the time to thoroughly investigate our entire house and locate any possible access points. He was timely and competent. We're happy that the treatment was both safe and successful. We no longer have mice! Great customer service is provided by Firefly.
We had three giant paper wasp/hornet nests. Firefly clearly communicated the cost, when they would be there and how they would remove them. They did everything they said they would. The price, the quick response and the quality of the work were all well worth it. I would recommend them to everyone.
BLUF: I have serious concerns about the quality of inspections and integrity of the inspectors. Proceed with caution. I had a 9 AM appointment and was told the inspector would arrive between 9 and 10. We arrived to discover that the inspector arrived much earlier, was finished with his exterior inspection, and was almost finished with the interior (our agent arrived early and let him into the property). The inspector said he was almost finished and headed to the basement. I normally follow inspectors, but, since I missed the entire inspection so far, I decided to stay upstairs with the agent and catch up on some things. A few minutes later, the inspector walked upstairs saying he was finished and he didn’t find anything. I asked if he could to check out the shed in the backyard even though I knew it wasn’t required. He said he could (+2 stars) and headed outside. During this, the inspector was holding his boot in his hand. We were all confused why he would remove his boot, so I went to the basement to investigate. In the laundry room I discovered a lot of sopping wet footprints around the sump pit. Before I had the chance to investigate more there was a knock at the back door. I headed upstairs to find the inspector where he said he found termites – on the shed as well as at the fence / garden connecting to the house. A minute earlier he said he was finished and didn’t find anything, yet his inspection should have included the fence / garden area where he was now showing us termites. Did he not look there the first time? (-3 stars). After a second (electrical) inspection, I decided to re-investigate the wet footprints from earlier, which were now dry. Much to my surprise, I found that the vertical sump pump drain pipe was slightly crooked, the pump itself was no longer in the center of the pit, the drain pipe was disconnected near the lip of the pit, the pump was unplugged, and the electrical prongs were bent. The property is vacant, and we were the last ones in the basement a few days prior for the main home inspection where we tested the sump pump. I repaired and reconnected all of these items to the best of my ability, not damaging anything myself in the process, but unfortunately the one PVC pipe was cracked during whatever initial incident took place and sprayed water when the pump kicked on. I alerted the agent, who contacted the seller while I contacted Firefly. I explained that the sump was damaged during the inspection. After a lot of back and forth, explaining what I saw to the owner while the inspector denied anything happened (claiming he ripped his boot cover and removed his boot since it was wet from being outside), the owner agreed to send him back out to fix the pipe. The owner said he believed the inspector and even defended the inspector while trying to blame the age of the pipe, etc. (-5 stars for dishonesty, +1 star for the repair). Overall, I do not recommend this company. Maybe the inspector simply tripped over the pipe. Not a problem – just disclose it in the first place and take responsibility. The responsibility for damages caused by an inspection would fall on me (the buyer), and had I not re-investigated the wet footprints, the property could have been sitting for weeks without a functioning pump and any damages caused thereby (basement flooding?) would have also been my responsibility. Hiding the damages in itself is a serious problem, but combined with the denying anything happened completely causes me to lose trust in the company as a whole. On top of that, I question the quality of the inspection in the first place (inspection was finished and nothing was found, but then there were living termites right next to the house?). The owner of Firefly being willing to fix the pipe can be the source of the final star, but I would give zero stars if I could. I highly suggest you proceed with extreme caution if you use this company.
Response from Firefly Pest Protection Services
Hi Matthew!
Thank you for your review, and we’re sorry you’re disappointed.
We typically don’t inspect outbuildings for real estate transactions unless they are requested. We weren’t made aware of its presence so the inspector didn’t know to inspect it. I’m glad he had the time to do it as a courtesy while he was there.
I’m also glad we could get that sump pump pipe fixed for you, even though inspection did find that age was an issue and recommended replacement. This was not an attempt to be dishonest on our part, but based on a professional recommendation. We always want our customers to be pleased with the service they get from us, so while we stand by our explanation of all of these issues to you, we went out of our way to make sure it was fixed regardless.
I’m sorry you still were not pleased, and we wish you many years of happiness in your new home.
