Chris was very professional and courteous. I have never had a technician from Critter Getters that I did not receive excellent service. I have been a customer for over 10 years and never had a pest problem. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing their services.

Provider response

Thank you for the great review! We’re so glad to hear Chris provided professional and courteous service. We truly appreciate your loyalty over the past 10 years and your recommendation—it means a lot to our team!

Chris came every morning to check the trap for the invasive squirrel. He was always trying to catch and retrieve the animal and look for different ways to entice him into the trap. Chris was polite and friendly throughout his visits to the house.

Provider response

Thank you for the great review! Chris’s dedication really shows, and we’re glad you noticed the extra effort he put into resolving the squirrel issue. We’re happy to hear he was polite and friendly throughout his visits. We appreciate you trusting Critter Getters with your home and are always here if you need us!

10 out of 10. Very professional and congenial. Would want Chris as my regular tech. And the owner is a good guy too. Critter Getters knows we have a choice of service providers, and they appreciate when we select them. When reading the reviews it is obvious they try to fix any problems ASAP. I like 'em.

Provider response

Wow—10 out of 10? We’ll take it! 😄 Thank you so much for the kind words and for being a loyal Critter Getters customer. Chris will be thrilled to hear he’s earned “regular tech” status, and we truly appreciate the shout-out to our owner as well. We never take it for granted that you have choices, and we’re grateful every time you choose us. Thanks for noticing the effort we put into making things right—fast. Customers like you are the reason we love what we do!

We learned from an initial service call that there were signs of bats in our attic. A service call from critter getters confirmed and offered an explanation to rid our home of this issue. I trusted that the detailed explanation and necessary materials and labor was a fair price. I am hopeful that the bats will not return and the issue has been resolved.

Provider response

Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re glad our team was able to confirm the issue, explain the process clearly, and provide a solution you felt confident in. Bat situations can be stressful, and we appreciate the trust you placed in us to handle it the right way. We’re hopeful right along with you that the issue is fully resolved, and of course, we’re always here if you need us. Thanks again for choosing Critter Getters!

Critter Getter routinely sprays only the front area while skipping the back (we have cameras) -- even though they are contracted to do both. Then we have to call them to get them to come back out and finish what we had already paid for. I guess they think we would not check. Rinse, repeat. You should not need to micromanage your pest control company in this way. We pay you and you do EVERYTHING YOU WERE PAID TO DO automatically. This is such a dishonest way to cut corners.

Provider response

Good Day, Basimth Dhillon,

Thank you for taking the time to review this matter. After looking into your complaint, it appears that the gate may not have been unlocked during the service visit, or that someone else may have let your dogs out at that time.

Since our contract is with your Homeowners Association (HOA), Critter Getters does not have direct access to the contact information for the 34 private residences we service. We follow a set procedure, and advance notifications are sent by the property management company prior to each visit. Our services are conducted on a monthly rotation, so you should be receiving those reminders—though they may come directly from your HOA or property management team.

That said, I believe I may have a solution that could help. Our new software system allows us to send multiple notifications to multiple contacts. Spencer did an amazing job that deserves more than any 5 star rating. He went above and beyond his call of duty. Our neighbors had an unfortunate incident with their chicken house that caused a extremely overwhelming infestation. We had swarms of flys in the yard and all over house. He covered every area of our yard and exterior of the house. He treated our home like it was his own or his family members. After his visit, we can come in and out of the house without being mobbed by flys. Thank you Spencer for the Amazing, A+, 5 Star job, and for giving us peace without the flys buzzing.

Provider response

Thank you Spencer doesn’t just sit at the desk all day, and we are lucky to have an owner that’s not afraid to “get dirty” and jumps in to get things done…. We are glad your were completely satisfied

I contacted Critter Getters 5/5 On the phone they seemed professional. They sent someone same day. The person who came seemed very knowledgeable a little odd but very nice. They said they would return the following day. I called to ask when they would return back since I was going to be in and out. I left a message with a service. Still no reply. I checked my ring camera. No one came. Makes no since he left his jar of raccoon stuff here. And still no phone call back. It’s been a week. Still have the raccoon in the chimney. Bad way of doing business.

Provider response

Hi Mr Walley-Burik
We appreciate the time you took to make this review and give your feed back. A family member called Critter Getters a man came out looked at the situation and said he would have to consult with someone else. It's been 3 week and my family member hasn't see anyone. The family called a few days after the man had come, a women answered the phone said she couldn't help and that she doesn't work gore Critter Getters. Bad company never use them.

Provider response

As we appreciate the time you took to post your review, I want to understand what you're saying here. So you posted a bad review on a company you have never used or had any experience with, based on a Family member's issue with a company because a Third party recommended to her, Has not returned her call? Unfortunately, We cannot control the business of anyone but Critter Getters. If she has not gotten a call back from the Maryland extension office, and Ginny Rosenkrants, I will say she may not have called them, or may have called the wrong number. The Maryland Extension office will be able to help Mrs. Barbara....
One of the most significant issues Mrs. Barbara has is that she has hired too many inexperienced people, taken too much advice from people who, may or may not had her best interest at heart, and the biggest …. She was looking for a Deal more than a well-installed job…This could be demonstrated by the evergreen bushes that were not taken out of the pots but planted.. In this one situation, the small evergreens are dying at the property because they were not planted correctly and the roots cannot expand due to the pot not being removed. We unfortunately have learned the hard way about performing partial services and relying on a customer to complete part of the task, and is our company policy not to perform partial jobs …. and we recommend that Mrs. Barbara contact the University of Maryland Extension office of Wicomico County… It's a Free service for the citizens of Wicomico County and Ginny is the Very Best and loves to consult with her fellow gardeners!
I called Spencer in a small panic over a sudden abundance of mice in my home, which we have never had before! After talking to him on the phone he explained why they were out now more than ever, what I could use differently, but best part was he had someone to my home within 30 minutes of my phone call to set bait traps! The guys were super friendly, even loved on my dogs! Highly recommend!

I strongly encourage you to avoid these folks and consider another company. We called and had them come to our home to inspect what we think is a bird or bat issue between our chimney and our exterior wall near our roofline — and paid $150 for this — which was to include an estimate for services to fix the problem. After a week of hearing nothing from them we called but got no answers to our questions, just verbal deflection that we should get another company to come look as they are really “crazy” busy. Today, more than two weeks later after additional calls to them, I finally received a call back to tell me they are just “so crazy busy” and won’t be able to do the job. I was told they don’t have the staff to do the work. 🤔 I asked what I paid the $150 for and why they even came to inspect the situation if they knew they couldn’t do the work, but I was given no clear explanation. We never received a written estimate — or any kind of summary with explanation of their findings and recommendations beyond telling us verbally that we do have a problem that needs attention. Basically, they charged us $150 to tell us what we already know. 🤔 Am I missing something here?

Provider response

Mr. D' Antionio We are sorry that you misunderstood the process that Critter Getters took, but the $105.00 you paid was not a fee for an estimate, it was for an inspection fee. Our charges were clearly explained to you on the phone on April 25th. Brian came out on April 28th and completed that inspection, as well as, gave you feedback about our opinion of a proper solution to cure the issue with the birds. As it was clearly communicated that there have been multiple issues with this area of the home and at least one "band-aid" solution had been made to try to defer from a proper correction. Critter Getters does not do "Band-Aid Treatments" nor do we recommend anything but quality solutions that are going to fix the problem not just "kick the can down the road" As Critter Getters is not a general contractor nor do we specialize in home improvements. We recommend you contact a company that specializes in home improvements. As we do not ever specifically recommend one Home improvement company over another, Brian did give you the name of a specialist that He had worked with in the past, and said they could further assist you. If you would like We can post the pictures and service orders online for you as well as the general public to review....
All the information was sent to the email address of: b___y@p_n_a__e_q.com the address provided and information is available online in the customer information portal. Access to that portal was also mailed to the Email Address stated above. If you have not seen the information We would encourage you to check you email spam folders and if your Spam folder auto clears please contact our office and we can provide you with that portal information again

After numerous calls to get someone to show up, the tech arrived 3.5 hrs late (after 2 previous broken appointments) . They wanted $105 for the inspection and would return to remove the nest and baby birds in our vent. The tech did not have a ladder but said he would take a picture and call that his inspection and wanted a check for the inspection. He also said it would be $95 for each animal extracted so when I asked about each baby bird he said we would be charged for each bird in the nest. The whole experience was a waste of our time.

Provider response

We sorry you feel that way Mr. Robbins but there are processes and procedures that needed to be addressed in any situation. We explained our pricing and progression of services several times to you and We're sorry it failed to meet your expectations. When you called on Saturday It was explained to you, We had limited availability due to the demand of our services. We also told you that your inspection fee would be credited to the repairs needed. So your needs are as follows:
a replacement of a louvered vent cover, removal of Starlings nest and bird(s) It has been our experience you may also need a inner duct liner replace and treatment for bird mites. Without looking at the situation, we have no way of assessing what materials would be needed or whether or not your vents were standard sized or how they are mounted. This type of job is normally two trips. The first trip to investigate and document problem, note what tools, and equipment needed, plan and explain the removable, cleanup and repairs, then provide a cost for the total service needed.
The second trip We would perform the removal, clean up and repair services.

Due to the high demand of bird repair work as of late, and the effects of COVID-19 on supply chains, it has taken a little longer to replenish supplies. We do not use plastic, inexpensive "DYI" materials that may or may not be right, in fit, color or appearances. We certainly want to perform a service that last for years, not a couple of months or first good storm. We certainly hope you can understand that .

My husband and I were very disappointed (to say the least) that the rep from Critter Getters was unable to even come close to getting rid of our bats. We paid CG over $1,500 for nothing. OUCH!!! If you've got bat problems in your house, get a recommended bat specialist from the list on the DE Dept of Natural Resources website. CG should have just admitted that our problem was more than they could handle, and they should have pointed us in the direction of DE DNREC, which we had no idea was an available resource for bat problems.

Provider response

**Updated (8/29/19)
We are sorry You feel the way you do, but. Critter Getters was only responsible to handle the exclusion of the dormer windows. In December 2018, our recommendation was for you to contact a Roofing company. We do not claim to be roofing experts and since there was signs of water damage, we thought it was in your best interest to have the wood behind the soffit and facial completed checked and repaired if needed. In April, when contacted, that the bats had gotten back in. We investigate your complaint and found that the bats were not gaining access to the Dormer area of our repairs, but to the soffit and fascia areas. This was not part of our agreement and We offered several well reputable roofing companies to contact for the repairs needed. In June the repairs still had not been made.
As for Critter Getters licensing; Critter Getters holds not only Wildlife (2018-NWCO-097 DE 57415 MD) Pest Control and Lawn Maintenance licensing (MD 26199 DE 971 VA13926) but we also hold Home improvement licenses in Maryland (#108460) and Delaware (#2018101394).
If you would like We could arrange to have one of our management team and a contractor meet with you, to help guide you through this issue. If we can be of anymore help please let us know

Original Response

I'm really sorry to see that you have had a problem with our serivces Without fully knowing the specifics of your particular job I have forwarded your complaint and a Account Manager, who will be in contact with you.

First technician that came out was very professional and represented his company well. My yard is infested with ants. We made a plan of attack and I was very satisfied with the plan. I wanted to clean up my landscaping beds because I didn't want them to spray and then I would just be removing it. Technician agreed with that. So I really worked hard all weekend cleaning up the yard. On Monday the technician arrived and I had to review everything with him fortunately I was home because he had no idea what my problem was. After walking the yard and telling him my issues he set out to perform the work. He also seemed very professional. However after about 10 minutes he came around back to tell me he was done. I asked what about granules they said they would put down. He said he did put it down it looks like like grass seed. I finished weedwacking in my back yard and came in to use the restroom. The technician was still out front. He looked like he was eating his lunch which is fine it was about that time of day. I work outside myself so I know what it's like to eat on the run. After using restroom I came outside to check my yard. He was pulling off as I came out. I could not find any granules on my lawn. It also was impossible for him to have sprayed my beds simply because he did not have the time. I called the office to tell them this isn't what I had signed up for. I have a serious ant problem and since this was the first visit I was told they would do a more intense spraying. If this was just a monthly follow up I could see 10 minutes and out. I was told by the manager that he was here about 45 minutes. That is true but only 10 minutes on my yard. I could have done this myself with a sprayer and some pesticide from Home Depot or lowes. They didn't even try to correct the problem. I don't usually complain and have never written a review but this just pissed me off. Not worth the money don't waist your time or money.

Poor customer service. We received a call from someone to schedule a visit for an assessment. The appointment was set for 7:30-8am so it wouldn't interfere in our work day. He never showed, and now that it's just about a week later, we still haven't been contacted to reschedule. Whenever I call, I get the voicemail, which is never responded to.

Provider response

We have looked though all our contact files and Your name appears to not be in our systems. We have made 3 attempts to contact you Via Google and Facebook but you have not replied. Are you sure you called Critter Getters....and Not Critter Control....Two different companies and two different results....
