I am truly surprised this business has so many top ratings. If I could give zero stars I would. I have been using red pest control for years in Monroe and the service was excellent. The first year I moved to Ruston (august 2021) I called the Monroe office to see if they sprayed in Ruston. I asked for Chris who was the person who always sprayed my house in Monroe. I was told he no longer worked there but they did have someone who sprayed in Ruston, but only on the first and third fridays of each month. So I scheduled the appointment and had them come out and spray. He charged me $150 to spray the inside of the house and the entire yard, which is quite large. The next year, (december 2022) I called the Monroe office to set up an appt and was told they didn’t handle those appts and would have to call the Ruston office directly. She have me the number and I called and set up the appt. When I got home the afternoon of the appt the man was waiting for me outside and informed me that the charge would be $125 for the house. I asked about spraying the yard and he told me that was just for the house but he would spray around the edge of the house. But to spray the yard it would be an additional charge. He also said that since it was so late in the year I shouldn’t have any problems not spraying the yard. When I asked about the difference in the price he told me that they had been bought by a new owner and were no longer associated with the Monroe business. I told him to go ahead even though I was not happy about the charge for the house only but I didn’t want to call another company at that point since he was there. He sprayed the house and then wrote out a receipt. I told him I had a debit card to pay and he said I would have to call the office and speak with Jennifer to pay the bill with a debit card. It was after 5:00 so he told me to call her in the morning, they opened at 8:00. I called the next morning and gave Jennifer my debit card info to pay. Then in March I received a bill from the company. I called and spoke with Jennifer again to tell her I paid in December. She told me she would go back and check the records to make sure they had the pymt. I did not hear from them again until the middle of May when I was informed by my landlord that the company had called him directly to tell him I had an outstanding bill. This is the person I pay rent to and all the utilities and other bills are in my name. In other words, it was illegal for them to contact the landlord directly for the “outstanding bill”, that I had paid in December. They put my rental situation in jeopardy and gave the landlord the impression I was not paying my bills. I will be contacting my attorney regarding this even though it is really sad that I have to do that for a company’s incompetent bookkeeping for a $125 bill.

Obviously no one wants to HAVE to call a pest control company, but sometimes those things are out of our control. When you find yourself in that spot, I highly recommend this company. They are professional, and so nice, from the time they answer the first phone call. The guy that came to my house was super knowledgeable, patient, and totally understanding. And best part is, the treatment worked wonders!!
