Zen is the absolute BEST technician we have ever had! Very personable and ALWAYS goes above and beyond. We appreciate him so very much! I would like him to do our service EVERY time! We appreciate Midwest Exterminators and are very happy to have had them do our service for many years. They just keep on getting better and better!

Joey has been amazing servicing all of our locations around the city! We recently had him over to check out our attic for critters and he did awesome locating and covering up all the access holes.

Midwest Exterminators has been hit-and-miss when servicing my apartment for cockroaches. They have been somewhat effective but definitely unprofessional. Today they filled up my trash can with their crap. Reading through reviews here and noticing that property managers and residents have very different views of Midwest. Surprise, surprise, they take good care of you if you're the one signing the check.

Jared is such a great guy!! Understanding, friendly, makes conversations, explains what we can do to help our issue. He deserves a raise 😉

Supposedly services Carlyle apartments in shawnee but all they do is put a couple 2 in. glue traps down every 3 months. Apartments and public areas like the halls and laundry rooms have a chronic roach and spider problem. Supposedly they were going to do a treatment that required tenants to clean out their kitchen and bathroom cabinets but they have been no shows multiple times and if it wasn’t for the tenants calling the apartment office they would have never known and paid for incomplete services.

We had great results, highly recomended.

Midwest came out for termite service and a rodent infestation. They were wonderful-prompt, courteous and reasonably priced! I cannot say enough about Roxanne and her team. Thank you for the Superior service.!

Joey did a great job checking for termites and even helped clean up after his thorough inspection. I appreciate his professionalism and even got some termite education. Thanks Joey.

Live at the Carlyle Apartments and we use them to exterminate I don’t know what they’ve done to their formula but nothing kills roaches. Do not use them. They are terrible.

I HAVE A CHILD, A DOG, AND A CAT! Not only were they not supposed to be in my apartment but this is what I came home to. This is beyond ridiculous and they will right this. DO NOT CONTACT THEM FOR ANY SERVICES.

Noah was very unprofessional and rude. He arrived 25 mins late to my appointment and smelled like marijuana. He did not want to spray much and complained often. His attitude was awful and while he was doing the treatment he had a lady sitting in his truck waiting impatiently with loud music playing and it was disruptive to my neighbors. My grandmother will not be using this company again or continuing services. Would not recommend!!!

Not only does the service not work but there have been multiple reports of them acting as apartment inspection for Topeka apartments. If you job is to do pest control then do that if you wanna spy on tenants then get a job with a leasing office. They’ve gotten the elderly and disabled kicked out for not dusting. My neighbor was left homeless because of this when she’d simply been away for the week.

My apartment in Topeka contracts Midwest Exterminators for monthly spray and inspections. When I’m here he goes through and sprays around and leaves when I’m not home he goes through all my cabinets leaves doors open and finds issues not related to his job description. The gentleman servicing my apartment goes above his job duties and reports everything to my leasing office. He reported that my dogs kennel wasn’t big enough for my dog, which it was. Which in turn I received a visit from animal control. The next time he came to my unit he was telling me how he has special kennels for his dogs he breeds. Okay? He reported that my cats litter box wasn’t big enough as well. I heard him walk out of my unit while leasing management was waiting down the hall and report back to her. The gentleman that serviced my unit had been instructed to go above his job duties and report everything he sees. My dog was urinating inside on occasion when my leg was injured and it was difficult to walk him as I’m on the top level. I carpet shampooed it and had an ageeement with leasing to keep it clean and I have since. No issues. The last time he came in apparently he reported there was more urine on my carpet, there was not. I would go as far and short to call this harassment. My apartment isn’t renewing my lease coming up because of his reports. Do your job and stop going above your pay grade and quit harassing us tenants. And when I’m not home stop ransacking my apartment. I’ve lived here for two years and never had an issue. I will take serious legal action if this continues onto the next visit as I have to be out by April 30th. I’m not the only one with a notice of non renewal of lease. There must be 100 other tenants here with the same letter when I came home damn near every door had one. My apartment’s maintenance staff told me that it’s pest control (Midwest exterminators) who “snitch” /and or report to my leasing office above their job description. Quit harassing people and do your job as it describes. I haven’t had any bugs in my unit, I had a few nats several months back when I was injured and couldn’t fully clean up. It wasn’t a mess inside though. Dishes left in sink etc caused that. I haven’t had any issues other than my dogs urination, WHICH IS COVERED BY PET DEPOSIT. I live at Raintree apartments and I have plenty to say about them as well. Horrible experience and I hope the young man who services my building loses his job.

This was disappointing. I live in an apartment complex and they were called to treat my unit. I got home and noticed that all of my lights were on in the front room but I initially thought it was me. Which never happens. It wasn't until later that I noticed the business card and realized that they left the lights on. I didn't recall anyone notifying me on my Ring so I went back and checked the footage. That's what led to this review. My neighbors across the hall have a direct line of view into my apartment. They were looking in before knocking on my door, then the exterminator came out. They told him that they knocked because the door was open. Why would you leave my door wide open?? I can understand slightly cracked but not completely open. Next, the exterminator replied that he was just treating the unit because there was "a request for pests." They then made a face and said something to themselves. Once the exterminator walked away they began conversing about me having pests. Privacy much? I've only lived here for a few months, my place is spotless, and this was my first time seeing this type of bug. Obviously, I should not need to explain that to my neighbors. Terrible. It's not really my choice who management chooses but it would not be them. The guy seemed nice based on the video but they clearly need training. If nothing else, for the safety of themselves and others. Based on other reviews, I'm concerned about what else got missed.

I would not trust this company at all. My apartment complex uses this company and I surely hope that they will not continue to due to the fact that they are paying for services not provided and then passing the cost on down to us. The young man African American man who entered my home on 07/25 failed to realize (or maybe simply didn’t care) that I have a camera in my home. He entered my apartment, looked around my apartment, set his card down on the edge of the counter, proceeded to look around and then simply left with no routine preventative pest control services provided. If they did this to one person, they’ve done it to multiple people who are also not home. Greedy and sick. What a pos company - DO NOT USE!!!!

I just experienced an extremely unpleasant experience with the pest control company called Midwest Exterminators. The exterminator I had stated his name was "Joe" and he was sent by my housing complex which is Ridge at Chestnut. He was sent by my housing complex to do their routine pest control which I had no issue with. However, I have recently cleaned my carpet and brought it to his attention that I had cleaned the carpet, pointing out the fact that you can still see the lines in the carpet. Additionally, I asked him nicely if he could not dirty up my carpet by walking on my carpet with his extremely filthy boots. He stated that he "legally" could not remove them which is something I have NEVER heard before. Also, he mentioned that he has walked in other people's apartments with his boots on being rude. He did not care how I felt, so I asked for his name, the company he works for and let him proceed with his pest control inspection. I am not satisfied at all and this should not be acceptable due to bacteria, germs, and people such as myself working extremely hard to maintain a clean home with clean carpet. Extremely unprofessional. Would not recommend. Customer satisfaction is not a focus with these people.

Watch out for surprise fees. We called in advance and requested and scheduled free inspection. The day of the appointment, they surprised us with a $50 inspection fee, for this service. We totally understand and would have been happy to pay for the inspection, it just rubbed us the wrong way when they agreed to do a free inspection in advance, then 'day of' they said they forgot to tell us their policy changed and they charge for the inspection now. They did offer to apply the $50 towards any services we may end up needing, but we declined as they already lost our trust. I'd rather not risk any more surprises or forgotten changes in policies. I was disappointed they were not willing to make an exception to their 'new policy' and honor our original agreement. Hopefully this was just a fluke and they get more organized. They seemed very friendly otherwise.

Horrible. They keep hiring clueless college kids to do their work and the turnover is constant. They are rude, incompetent, act entitled, and treat you like dirt in your own home. I won't tolerate being disrespected in my home. If you can choose another company, you'll be much better off. The latest new kid kept snooping around my apartment reading everything on my walls which in no manner whatsoever was related to doing his job. He even took one of my business cards for some unknown reason before he left. I caught him doing all of this on my indoor security cameras. I do not trust them at any time and with good reason. If they enter your home or business, make sure and watch them at every step.
