Robert C., our technician today, was very respectful and kind! We have had NO negative experiences with the Bug Doctor Company since we started with them 2 years ago. They answer their phones, they reply to text, they schedule appointments within a week or sooner! I can't thank them enough for being efficient and knowledgeable and answering all of my questions! We definitely share and recommend them to our family, friends and neighbors!

We have used The Bug Doctor since moving to Ocala and have always been satisfied with the service and employees. Today we had Robert help us with our quarterly treatment but also with a terrible outbreak of ants that has been driving us crazy. Robert was very professional and helpful. He explained very clearly what we need to do after his treatment. Very pleased with him.

We've been customers for decades and today, we were visited by Robert who was amazing! I haven't written any reviews in years but after meeting Robert, I felt it was my honor to write this. Robert was on time, super polite and courteous, answered all my questions completely & thoroughly and was a delight to do business with. In my opinion, The Bud Doctor is very lucky to have Robert as an employee and we are very lucky to have Robert protect our home.

Just started a new service with The Bug Doctor. So far very happy. Robert Craig came out. Although he was only a few minutes late he immediately apologized. No excuses- just a sincere apology which I found refreshing. Robert was very thorough inside and out and he addressed all of my questions and concerns professionally. Great start to what I hope will be a successful relationship.

Jerry came and did an inside and outside service. He was professional, kind, and answered any questions. I would use his company again and will be recommending it to anyone in need of a similar service!

I've been a loyal customer of the Bug Doctor for 2 1/2 years, initially starting with 2 homes, and eventually adding a third. I also had them perform a termite treatment on 1 of the homes. A requirement for that is an annual inspection for the Bug Dr's insurance to cover if termite damage in the future. Unfortunately, over time, the level of customer service significantly declined. I experienced unprofessional behavior from the office staff on multiple occasions, including being spoken to in a condescending and aggressive manner from the owner's wife. There were incidences where I felt disciplined, rather than valued as a paying customer and scare tactics were used to pressure decisions, something no customer should experience. Most recently when it came time for my annual termite inspection, I notified them well in advance that I would be out of town and provided several weeks notice to schedule accordingly. Despite this, they fail to accommodate the timeframe and this jeopardized the timeline for insurance. Now, the insurance company will not honor the treatment that was expensive and have no coverage now. Despite this clear communication, they repeatedly called and texted and emailed me while I was out of the country trying to book more appointments for the other homes, something I asked them not to do. The lack of respect for my time and boundaries combined with their inability to meet the inspection timeline, I can no longer recommend them. As of April 2025 I advised them I no longer wish to use their services.

Robert has been amazing and definitely got rid of all our pest.. I would definitely recommend him anyday.

I cannot recommend The BUG Doctor enough! From the moment they arrived, they were prompt and professional, showing up on time – if not even a little early. After the first visit, they significantly reduced the bug problem by an impressive 80%. During that initial appointment, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and his team member. They were not only friendly and approachable but truly went above and beyond what I expected from a pest control service. Their kindness and understanding made a stressful situation much easier to handle. On the second visit, Mike took care of our pest issues. He was just as fantastic! Professional, funny, and incredibly personable, Mike made sure to address all my concerns while delivering thorough service. He was very informative, sharing tips and tricks to prevent future infestations. Overall, my experience with The BUG Doctor has been nothing short of wonderful. They genuinely care about their customers and their work, which is rare to find. If you're looking for a reliable pest control service, look no further – I highly, highly recommend them!

In my experience, this company falls short of expectations for a service provider of its scale. There's a notable lack of attentiveness to customer complaints and concerns, coupled with a concerning reluctance to fulfill their primary duty, which is addressing significant issues effectively. I do not recommend this company for your pest control needs.

Horrible service. Was great at first to get your money but I informed Trina that I work at a certain time frame and I cannot be disturbed let alone someone listening in to the line of work that I do. No apologies at first until confronted about the horrendous service and the member running late. She informed me she was the manager and that he was running a minute late. No it was over that and trying to minimize the extent of this. Put your money somewhere else where they respect your schedule and work around it. She even had the audacity to ask me earlier regarding my schedule that I could leave a key for the member. Excuse me? Absolutely not. Unprofessional and rude.

They will get your bugs and other pests gone for you just fine but they probably won’t be on time and their scheduling department seems very un organized

I’ve been using this company for the past couple years and the customer service from their front desk employee Peggy is very poor. Her attitude and way of speaking to a customer is outrageous. I would never recommend this company to any of my friends or family due to poor customer service from Peggy. The clinician that comes out to the home is very kind but I refuse to be spoken to like a child by someone who sits behind a desk and has no filter over her mouth. We live very close to a huge retirement community and if this is how she speaks to me I don’t want to know how she speaks to our elderly population. Absolutely outrageous and disgusted by the company and the lack of education or coaching provided to improve their customer relations.

Rude office staff that will talk down to you and then hang up if you say anything about their behavior. Peggy needs to find a new job. She is terrible! Accused us of not responding to texts because the drivers either show up early or we don't know they're coming. We have only one text from BD about the credit card on file expiring. Neither me nor my husband have texts from them. I liked the owner who would come out on occasion so that is why I gave an extra star, it's for him. We did not confirm them to come out, my husband is a transplant patient and I have Lupus, so we have various medical appointments. They came out, did the outside since we were out. I called and Peggy said the owners were at a wedding, she was busy and sounded hassled. No call was returned. I called yesterday and was met with attitude from her with asking "do you have a problem on the inside?" and I said "no, but we're not paying for a full service and only getting the outside." She was smart-mouthed, rude and wouldn't listen to me. She hung up when I responded to her behavior and asked her to cancel our services.

Called the bug doctor on recommendation and seeing their work in the past. We just recently moved into a new home and have been having issues with the builders and warranty work as well as pest issues. Called Jerry and he came out as soon as possible and did alot of quality work which is the only reason for 2 stars. While there I showed him a video of some crawlers that had been in our master shower and he stated it looked like "water lice". I had never heard of them and asked him several times and wrote down in front of him on the ticket so I didn't forget when I talked to the contractor later about the possibility of a leak in the shower and grout cracking letting them in. I originally thought they were mild mites and asked him and Jerry said they were "water lice" and there might be a leak in the basin under the tiles. So I called the contractors and told them word for word what I was told. Things are bad with the contractors and a lot of he said she said and not honoring our warranty, not Jerry's fault. So last night I noticed two giant spiders in the house and have been seeing some ants and roaches off and on the last week. I looked and we were due on the 17th for the every other month treatment. I called this morning about moving it up to sooner due to pests...only to be called back and told it was cancelled WITH NO notice to myself or my husband because Jerry thought it wasn't a good fit(which is his prerogative as a business owner but a notice would be nice so we could find someone before there's more pest issues) and due to issues with the contractor. Upon asking about those issues Jerry claimed I gad forged a ton of writing on the invoice (which I did not. I only wrote water lice). Apparently the contractors told them I had said that were definitely water lice which I didn't. I told Peggy I think it was as much, to which she told me there is no such thing as water lice. When I tried telling her what transpired between myself and Jerry about the water lice she continuously interuptted me and told me I was a liar and they weren't comfortable doing business with me or my husband. I guess now thanks to them I will need a new pest control and from now on I guess I will just need to record any interaction between me and anyone I don't know. Horrible service and professionalism. Work is great but if you can't back it up with people you trust who won't cancel or call you a liar there's no point. So thank you Peggy and Jerry for ruining my morning and taking my money but not the service for more than one time.
