Hired Rob for a bimonthly lawn spraying. At the time hire he told me if I had any problems he would come back out and treat. A few months after using Rob I developed a bad case of chinch bugs. Called Rob to inform him that my yard was quickly deteriorating and he in no way wanted to come back out and treat and always blamed my by saying I wasn't watering enough, etc,. I am on a well and can water as much as I want so I did. Well now my yard looks like crap and I have to hire someone else to come out and treat cause he was unwilling to. Posting photos to verify what I am saying is true. Don't make promises to get business if you are not going to do what you promised.

Provider response

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience.
I believe it is important to provide some additional context. Your property was serviced for a full year under the original service agreement, which had reached its renewal period. During that year, you received the six regularly scheduled bi-monthly treatments included in your program. In addition, whenever you contacted me with concerns, I returned to your property at no additional charge to perform inspections and/or supplemental treatments on July 25, 2025, September 12, 2025, December 2, 2025, and February 3, 2026.
Throughout the service period, I also documented and discussed several conditions that were limiting the lawn's ability to recover. Irrigation coverage issues were brought to your attention on July 28, 2025, September 12, 2025, January 7, 2026, March 4, 2026, and May 4, 2026. I recommended increasing irrigation to approximately 40–60 minutes per zone during each watering cycle because the automatic irrigation system was only operating for about 25 minutes. This recommendation was December 2, 2025.
The sprinkler shown in the photo included with this review is one that had dirt consistently washing up around it from the beginning of service. This condition is commonly indicative of a broken sprinkler head, underground leak, or other irrigation issue affecting proper water distribution. This concern was discussed on multiple occasions, as it was important to correct the irrigation problem for the lawn to respond properly to treatment.
Additional maintenance recommendations were also provided, including avoiding mowing the grass too short (December 2, 2025) and mowing at least once per week during the warmer growing season after observing excessively tall grass on May 4, 2026.
At the conclusion of the original service agreement, I recommended switching from a bi-monthly treatment program to a monthly service plan. My recommendation was made because monthly visits would allow me to monitor the lawn more closely, identify developing issues sooner, and address concerns more proactively.
Successful lawn care requires a combination of professional treatments and proper cultural practices, including adequate irrigation, proper mowing, and correcting irrigation system deficiencies. Even the best treatment program cannot produce optimal results if those recommendations are not addressed.
I strive to provide honest recommendations, document conditions I observe, and provide additional service whenever customers report concerns. I appreciate every customer's feedback and wish you the best with your lawn moving forward.
Rob has been working on my yard for the past couple of years. When he first took me on as a client, my lawn was plagued by a severe fungus and weed problem that made it look unsightly. Today, both my front and back yard resemble the lush, perfectly manicured putting greens of an exclusive golf course—thanks to Rob and his hardworking team!
