Very happy with my service from Black Widow Pest Specialists. We had made an appointment for them to come out. The morning of my appt, one of their tech’s called out sick and I could not rearrange my schedule to accommodate a rescheduled appt. Black Widow Pest Specialists re-arranged their schedule to accommodate me and my needs. They came out and were able to keep the same appt. Very happy with my service! The people who answer the phone and the tech Nate who ended up coming out was very friendly & knowledgeable. I’m glad I went with these guys!

Black Widow is incredibly effective, professional, capable and they have the most responsive team I have ever worked with (in any home service area). So far I have asked them to control rodents, bats, spiders and Mike just came today for interior carpenter ant prevention. I can't speak highly enough about them!

This is going to be a pretty long review as I think the back story is equally as important as the end result. It started about 5 years ago. I started getting flying squirrels in my attic. I started setting up traps and even got a wild life guy involved. This guy was great and did a great job of getting the flyers out. Unfortunately, though, he couldn’t really offer a long-term solution to keeping them out. So, this went on year after year. Finally, my wife and I got fed up with hearing them in the walls, so I reached out to a local company and this is where my adventure with Black Widow starts. I made the call and scheduled the initial evaluation. A few days later Blake the owner shows up and we start walking the property. He spent about 2 hours looking at everything. He then flew his drone around the entire property looking at every angle and made quite a few additional discoveries. He took about another 10-15 minutes in his truck to draw up a plan. He presented that plan along with a detailed cost. This was not an estimate this was an out the door cost. I agreed and signed on and we started our journey together. The next week his crew showed up exactly when they said they would and started fortifying the exterior of my home using scribed metal. If you didn’t know exactly where they did the work, you would never be able to tell they did anything, it looks amazing. It took 2 guys about a day and a half to complete. This past Monday I went down to my basement to get something and saw a rodent run along a wall under some stairs, followed by a second. At this point I made a call to Blake and informed his office I believed I had rats! The next day Blake and one of his guys came out to take care of the rats. We were in the driveway talking while they got the traps and gear ready. We then went into the basement to get started. Blake looked at the fecal droppings on the floor and told me he didn’t think they were rats. He started moving things around and finally came face to face with it. The rodent was able to escape at that moment, but the guys immediately went into action and changed their entire plan of attack. After a short time, we saw one of the rodents out on the back deck and it turned out to be a weasel. Blake and Stephan got some different traps and got to work. After about an hour and a half or more, we had traps set up along with cameras for them to monitor the situation remotely. Blake then told me we should catch them in a day or two. They left for another job on the other side of town. About 15 minutes later I went downstairs for a tool and saw movement and realized we had caught what I thought was 2 weasels. I called Blake and told him. He checked the camera’s and said we had actually caught 3. He then said he would be back after they finished the next job. About 2 hours later they came back and we had indeed trapped 4 weasels. He took them with him but left the cameras to monitor. 4 days later on Friday we talked and he told me there has been no further activity and I was good to go with wood working repairs to the home to correct the damage that was caused. He also told me it was a happy ending for the weasels as he was able to communicate with the State and get permission to relocate them to a state forest. If you are looking for the cheapest solution then Black Widow is not for you. They are not the most expensive either, but the quality of work is second to none, and they are fantastic at making sure you are informed every step of the way and know exactly what is going on and what is going to happen. I have now cancelled my service with the other pest people who just come out, do a quick spray and leave, then continue to call me to try to sell me every other service they offer. Black Widow is now going to be handling all of my pest and wildlife needs. If you have ants, mice, flying squirrels and any other unwanted guests living in your home, Call Black Widow for a permanent solution.

I’d highly recommend Black Widow Pest Specialists if you’re experiencing any issues with pests or wildlife. Blake, Mike, and Joe were all exceptional! I had a raccoon mom and her young living in my garage for months. While my association was unresponsive to my inquiries, I reached out to another pest control company to perform an inspection. I was told the garage is too low for raccoons as they typically nest in attics and the owner assured me I had rats with no sign of rat droppings anywhere, despite me communicating that I’ve been seeing a raccoon go in and out from underneath my side patio almost on a daily basis and at all times of the day. Eventually Black Widow came out to my home and they took the time to listen to my concerns and do a proper inspection of my home. It was quite the process getting the raccoons out because at this point the babies were older and became mobile. However Black Widow’s communication throughout the process was exceptional and made me feel confident they would resolve this issue. Also special shoutout to Blake, he was relentless in trying to figure out how to get the raccoons out humanely and he spent as much time as necessary on site to find a solution. I’ve already recommended them to family members and I’ll be using them for my future needs.
