Ethan and Jose called ahead to say when they would arrive, then checked in with us on arrival for any questions we had. They efficiently aerated our lawn with good coverage and minimal mess, being careful to close our gates when they finished. Lawn Doctor did a great aeration job for us.

I have been a customer for years and am consistently happy with their service and every tech who has serviced my property. They are always polite and friendly. Ethan and Jose were great this week. I don't use their service, but came outside to see a sign posted in my yard that they had sprayed something on it. Something caustic enough to necessitate a warning, obviously. Now they don't answer the phone. They sprayed my lawn in error about 10 years ago and it died. They sent "an expert" to examine it and declared that it wasn't their fault. Completely irresponsible service. Edit for owner response: Yes. I tried that. Numerous times.

Decided to do a series of treatments through the summer based on a flier I had received in the mail. So far the services I have received have been upcharged significantly with no coherent explanation (they arrive and give. You the invoice rather than honoring the agreed upon price and tell you to call in with questions). They then said they couldn’t honor the flier price as they would “lose money” and asked me what I could afford. Cancelled immediately. Felt very “used car” salesy. Would not recommend to my neighbors.

In the summer of 2024 I asked the lawn doctor to come to my house to assess bald spots on my lawn. The sales person determined that I suffered from rabbit damage. I agreed to a treatment plan that ended up costing me in excess of $700, because a) I wanted my lawn to look good again and b) because I was told over and over again that the lawn doctor offers a complete satisfaction guarantee. The first ultimate power seed happened on 9/13/24, and I was instructed to water the lawn 2-3 times per day for 30 days, which I did. There was absolutely no germination of the seed, so a seed touch up was performed on 10/18/24; instructions left after the seeding stated "water as much as possible". On 10/23/24 a supervisor was dispatched since there was still no sign of germination. He determined that the lawn is "well hydrated", and that the seed will remain fertile until soil temps are high enough to germinate. Shortly after we experienced our first snow fall which stayed on the ground until early April. At this time I reached out to the lawn doctor again, because I was far from completely satisfied. After some back and forth I finally ended up speaking with the manager/owner, who proceeded to tell me that the satisfaction guarantee basically means that the lawn doctor will come back to seed again, but that is all they'll do. Long story shortened, another seeding took place on 4/24/25, and the sheet the tech left behind instructed me to water 2-3 times per day, and to call the office if damaged areas do not respond in 10-14 days. I had agreed with the manager to water the suggested number of times, and when I informed him that I had not noticed any germination, he immediately questioned whether I was watering the lawn enough, then proceeded to tell me to wait another 2 - 3 weeks for germination. Today is 6/5/25, so 6 weeks have gone by since the last time seed was applied and there are still no signs of germination whatsoever. Calling the lawn doctor again will result in more of the same "nothing else we can do", so here a review of this company and my experience with them. Certainly not what it states in their materials: "your complete satisfaction is always guaranteed." If I were you, I'd stay away from them.

Hi Peter, <br>We're sorry you feel this way. Your property has now been seeded 4 times with seed that has been proven viable. Our guarantee is that we will either re-do a service or refund it. You opted to get the seeding re-done which was accomplished several times now. It's important you understand that there are things out of our control such as sprinkler coverage, foot traffic etc. It was found & communicated that you have gaps in your sprinkler system. We were told these issues were addressed before your 4th seeding. At this point any failure of germination is due to cultural issues. We do guarantee the quality of our seed and our workmanship, however germination is entirely up to the customer, as previously discussed. I'm sorry we can't help you further. It would definitely benefit you having an irrigation company do a sprinkler audit. It's also important to note that we do several hundred seedings per season with the same seed stock that we used on your property, which have been successful. Thanks for your time & expressing your concerns.
Just had LawnDoctor show up at my house yesterday, do a treatment, and then bill me 80 bucks for it- all with no contract and no request by me to have it done. Their statement is that the services are continual, and you have to call to stop it . . . which I never agreed to beforehand. I have already contracted with Weedman (1/2 the price), and I asked LawnDoctor to take it off my bill- but no, they still are charging me half. What crooks!!! Stay away from these thieves- use another company!!!

We try our best to communicate that we do operate on a continual service basis. <br>We typically reach out with serveral calls and and several letters during the off season showing what services are scheduled for during the 2025 season. We also sent a text message the day before the service was scheduled. <br>We do our best to give you multiple notices through multiple forms of contact to notify you that you're scheduled for service. At any time you can opt out of these services, but we do expect to hear from you if you plan on using another company.<br>I apologize if our efforts to contact you never got through. <br>Please disregard the invoice & feel free to call us if the other company lets you down.<br>Thanks for your feedback & let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.<br>Scott
I would not recommend this company. They randomly show up for service with 0 advance notice which is insane to me. then they silently have your services on “repeat” annually even if you never signed up for that, which is predatory. They also sprayed pet harmful chemicals in our yard while my dog was right there. nobody from their organization even notified us that they were servicing our yard

Been with Lawn Doctor for years. Missed our scheduled Aeration appointment by a week. Called them to see what the deal was, they said they will re-schedule us for another week out, called to verify appointment a week later and once again, not on the schedule. Told the person on the phone we've been a customer over 10 years and we are definitely not satisfied with the service of a long time customer. Mentioned we may consider canceling our account with Lawn Doctor and she said "OK"! Looks like back to "Trugreen!

Aeration season is the busiest time of year for us and we do our best to schedule everyone as soon as we possibly can. I'm not entirely sure what went wrong with our scheduling, but I assure you this is not a normal Lawn Doctor experience. As I'm sure you know this, being a long time customer. If you could please call when you have a chance and ask to speak with Scott Michael or Juston.
Total scam. I used them for aeration last year, and everything was fine. This year, they kept showing up at my home without any sort of notice or me hiring them or asking them to come out. Each time, I asked them to leave and told them we did not want their services, but they kept coming back. I finally thought I had gotten rid of them but now they are trying to bill me for work on two rental properties, even though I did not hire them, nor do I have any knowledge that they did any work on the properties - except that I suspect they may have because the new grass seed that I planted at the properties hasn't come in well and I'm guessing they did damage to the freshly aerated, prepped, and seeded lawns. I highly recommend against hiring them if you don't want to be harassed forever.

The photo of my lawn should say enough. I used them for 2 seasons. This is what it looked like at this same time last year. They said mites. Ok fine, but why did they not fix that problem last year. I used trugreen before them (also terrible). Lawn Doctor is no different. Don’t spend the money

Dishonest, dishonest and not true to their guarantees… I paid for a years worth of service, plus power seeding on a strip of my front yard that had the water main repaired. They came in October to do the power seeding. I spend approximately $800 on the water to ensure the seed grew. Well, it didn’t. They came back in the spring, and I told them the seed didn’t catch. They said it was guaranteed and they would take care of it. This is important to note. They carry over lawn treatment whether you ask for it or not. Every time they came by, I specifically asked if this was the same treatment I paid for. They would say yes. They then send me a bill for $165 for new treatment. I called and said I didn’t want new treatment and that I always asked if what they were doing was covered. They said they would take care of the unapproved extra treatments, but would not honor the power seeding they had promised. Shady and dishonest…
