Avoid this company at all cost. We used Aftermath for an inspection and repair during a refinance and you can clearly tell that they were looking to find ways to over charge and make money any way possible. After requesting a breakdown of cost for labor and supplies, along with repairing only the required repairs, the owner became begrudgingly upset and would not provide us the information. Stating that we're paying for their knowledge and expertise. The technician that did the inspection picked and chose what to charge for although there were several areas around the house that looked very similar. We informed them we had a tenting and fumigation done approx. 3 years ago and theirs a tag in the attic that proves it, but they stated they were not aware (showing you how well they do their inspections). We were charged $2000 for work that took less than an hour, which was done half hazardly. Would not recommend. I feel bad for the owners who feel they have to exploit their customers to make a buck.

From the beginning, our inspection and recommendations were based on industry standards, state-required findings, and the visible evidence present at the property at the time of inspection. Pricing was clearly communicated before any work was authorized, and no repairs were completed without approval.<br><br>You requested a significant reduction in price after the work had already been discussed and scheduled. When we explained that the cost reflected not only materials and labor, but also the licensed expertise, warranty, and treatment requirements involved, you became upset and stated that you would leave a negative review if the price was not lowered further. We made every effort to remain professional and transparent throughout the process.<br><br>Your statement that the work was “half hazardly” completed is simply untrue. The treatment performed carries a one-year warranty, and the repairs completed were limited to only the areas identified as necessary during inspection. In fact, we had already extended a substantial discount as a courtesy.<br><br>Regarding the prior fumigation, the presence of an old attic tag alone does not guarantee that all current conditions or findings are resolved years later. Our responsibility is to report and address what is visible and active at the time of inspection.<br><br>We stand behind the quality and integrity of our work and take pride in providing honest inspections and professional service to our customers. While we respect every customer’s right to share their experience, we also believe reviews should be fair, factual, and not used as leverage during pricing disputes.

I have completed probably close to or over 100 fumigations and repairs with Aftermath. Ray has become a strong tool in my arsenal as a top producing realtor in San Diego County to help serve my clients. There are a lot of options out there but when it comes to WDO reports some companies are overly prescriptive and others are not prescriptive enough. Aftermath has always been professional and within reason.
