TLDR: He threatened a lien on the home over a $45 "free quote". I’m honestly shocked this company has any 5-star reviews. Our experience was the complete opposite of professional. We contacted them for a bug-removal quote, which their website clearly says is free. Only after they left the property did they text demanding $45. That’s when things went downhill. Weeks later, the owner showed up unannounced, disturbed our tenants, then called and yelled at me for nearly 10 minutes before I even understood who he was. He then threatened to put a lien on our house.... over a frivolous $45. Based on the website versus what actually happened, it felt less like a quote and more like a pressure tactic after we chose not to move forward. The website clearly states "free quote". If professionalism, clear pricing, and basic courtesy matter to you, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I am attaching screenshots. PS, the invoice was created after the call. No real invoice was provided at the time of service or anytime shortly thereafter. UPDATE: After this review was posted, the owner contacted me again and threatened legal action for “defamation” related to this review. UPDATE 2: his attorney did in fact just call me trying to get me to remove this review. I am attaching a screenshot of the phone call I received.

Great experience with a home seal for scorpions.

After our initial call there was someone ready to service our house for termite control within 2 days. Our treatment fellow, David Lim, was very pleasant, efficient, knowledgeable and tidy. We are very pleased with this company.

Great family owned pest control business. Tom, Elle, and the team do an amazing job keeping my house pest free. Prompt service, always receive a text or call the day before service as a reminder. I can always ask my service technician anything and get a straight answer. Very helpful. Competitively priced and haven't had an issue with pests as long as Bug Guardian has been on the job! I was sitting in my vehicle waiting for a customer to arrive home. I was watching the young man in the photo do his work then he just started recklessly spraying the harmful pesticide into the public roadway. I lowered my window and asked what he thought he was doing spraying chemicals into the roadway he replied aggressively it’s none of my business.

There was a minor reoccurring insect issue at my home, and Bug Guardian was a more affordable quote than other companies in town. There was ZERO upsell which is good, because most of the time you think you're being sold things you do not need. When you see companies have 5 stars, you tend to think it's fake, but these guys did a great job for me at a great price and are the real deal. I haven't had any issues since they came. So hope it helps others when deciding which pest control company to go with. Thanks.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND TOM & his team! As part time residents, they worked HARD to meet when we were available. We found a scorpion invasion in our Condo so we called about their Scorpion Seal and treatment plans. QUITE knowledgeable, PROMPT, FLEXIBLE and we couldn't be happier with the results. We are in North Scottsdale and they were willing to 'come the distance' to serve us. Give Tom a call, you won't be disappointed!

We’ve had Gary with Bug Guardian treat our house for many years and have been extremely satisfied. He is very friendly, professional, and on always on time. He asks each time about any concerns we might have, which we rarely do. Many of our neighbors have had issues with scorpions, and we haven’t found one inside or out in the 7 years owning our home. I highly recommend Gary with Bug Guardian.

We have had a few Pest Control companies over the past several years. Once we met Gary at Bug Guardian we refuse to use anybody else. He is very consistent, knowledgeable, friendly, great with communication and trustworthy. In the 6-7 years we have been loyal to Gary, we have had him come back once, maybe twice ever, due to spotting a scorpion. I love that Bug Guardian always has the same tech service my home, so I don't have to worry about a new face every time. I have a child that used to follow him around and ask questions. Not only is Gary great with this company and customer service, he is excellent at entertaining my child too. He was never irritated by our children or chatty days. I highly recommend Bug Guardian. Hands down best customer service there is.
