Our lawn looks great this year. I credit this to RainMaster Lawn Systems. Their technicians are excellent and their recommendations are excellent. Over the past few years I have found that listening to their advice is the best approach. They do know what they are doing and they do not apply treatments they do not feel are necessary. We have a lot of pine trees. I used to think I would never be able to grow grass so much pine in the yard, but, with RainMaster I have been able to get excellent results despite having so many pine trees. I highly recommend them.

Sprinkler head was left on the ground near the mailbox after irrigation system shut down was done. No communication as to why the sprinkler head was removed and left there. No communication that the job was completed. Very atypical for RainMaster. Their people are typically excellent when it comes to communication, especially if there is an issue with the irrigation system.

I called in and asked to speak with a service person because our sprinklers were not turning on. Keep in mind that RainMaster was the last to do anything with our system because they closed it in the fall. I wanted to do a quick trouble shoot to see if I missed anything. I was told that is not a service RainMaster provides and that I would have to schedule an appointment and have a tech come out. She was very rude to me on the phone and kept saying they cannot diagnose a problem without being on site, despite me continually telling her that is not what I was looking for but rather to just try and trouble shoot. Very disappointing. I have never experienced this before with a business where they were not willing to talk to you on the phone.

Update: The new lawn care manager has been more responsive and is going to work through these issues. I guess I’ll be hopeful but time will tell.. After using Rainmaster for 3-4 seasons this is what I’m left with. A yard still full of crab grass and broken irrigation pipes from improper fall blowouts. Rainmaster is always quick to respond to negative feedback yet continues to make empty promises on corrections and repairs. The best thing they accomplish is billing.

This company has been frustrating for the 6 years I have had to deal with them. A few years ago I called them out to fix a problem (ultimately a water hammer issue), they replaced parts, but never fixed the problem. After the problem was never fixed, I called them to return and they ensured me there would be no charge for the call back. They charged me again for a service call. I took nearly 3 months of many phone calls until they finally took the charge off. Now I have been told they are requiring customers to pay for the "Spring Turn On" to ensure the "Fall Blowout." There was never any communication that this was a new policy. They will no longer provide "Fall Blowout" services. If that is their, policy, so be it, but I was automatically enrolled without being told this was a new policy. We are done with their company and I suggest others follow suit.

My First spring using RainMaster and I've had a terrible experience. First technician out to do spring start up noticed a break in the copper pipe and stated that RanMaster did not do the blow out properly last fall and he'd get us set up for repair. After not hearing back for a week we called and the receptionist had no idea what we were talking about, no notes on file. She then said it would be 4 weeks until they'd get out to fix it. After 2 more calls I finally got to a manager who sent someone to fix it (now 2 weeks after initial house call). I then got a bill for the service even though I had already pre-paid for the spring start up and was told RainMaster would cover the cost since it was their fault. More calls and back and forth and ended up paying the entire bill......needless to say I will not be doing business with them again.

Have used Rain Master for several years and have had decent service, however this year they failed miserably. I called and told them I had several irrigation heads that needed to be replaced and few that needed to be moved. They never fixed any heads and only moved one out of 5 that needed to be moved. The tech was there for about 20 minutes, he basically turned the water on and moved one head and left. I was invoiced $170.00 for him to turn the water on. He never checked to see if the system was working or not. When I got home that night the system was making a loud noise because one of the valves had malfunctioned. I called to get them back to get it fixed and they told me it would be 3-4 weeks. I called a local company and they were there within a hour. Needless to say Rain Master will no longer be doing any work for me.

I usually don't write reviews but I don't want any potential customers to experience what we did. I would highly recommend going through another lawn care service and if you do decide to go with RainMaster do not pay in full to get a potential discount, wait until you receive your services. We paid in full for a sprinkler system and several applications in beginning of May and were told that our system would be installed at the end of May. Due to the amount of rain in May it got moved back a month to the end of June...meanwhile they sprayed the wrong yard and didn't come back to spray our yard until about 2 weeks later. Then at the end of a July they contacted us to put in another application and we still didn't have our sprinkler system installed. We had to contact them and ask them when we were going to get the sprinkler system installed..and it's now already two months late. They stated August 8th but possibly might be later due to rain delays. I was not happy but what topped it off our neighbors who paid at least 2-3 weeks after us got their system installed before us. We contacted RainMaster and they insisted they moved the wrong address to be scheduled and it wasn't on purpose...we were not offered any money back for the hassles and all the delays. They only offered rechecks and startup/offs which we weren't going to need nor want anymore at this time. I have talked to several people this summer (one being a large company) that is very disappointed with RainMaster and their services. I would highly discourage anyone from using any RainMaster services.Their customer service was very poor and their communication is terrible.
