Emerald Lawns - Temple / Waco

Emerald has treated our St. Augustine lawn since last year. Our lawn actually looks worst than it did when they started treating it. The technicians have come out to treat the lawn without anyone from Emerald providing feedback or services to improve the lawns' condition. I actually had to call and provide pictures and videos for their Sales Manager, Derek to even recommend services to improve our lawn condition. We expected for our lawn treatment service would actually care for our lawn, communicate, and ensure the lawn was healthy, Emerald Lawns has not been that company. We are dissatified.

I signed up for a years worth of service to include top dressing, cost $3,000 They came and did the top dressing then then next day I go out in my yard and find hundreds of 2” stones scattered throughout my entire yard, about 1/2 of a 5 gallon bucket. I called to complain and they sent two guys back to my house and they picked up several dozen more.. ok mistakes happen and I guess they accidentally scraped up some as they loaded it on the truck Then I get a text saying they will be treating for weeds and applying fertilizer on 16 Mar, get a text later that day saying they will have to reschedule, ok things happen. No problem Then I get a text on the 20th saying they will be doing it on the 23rd, great. On the 23rd I am in my driveway and see them service my neighbors yard, and I figured I am next, I turn around and they are gone and I get a text saying they just serviced my yard and please review the service🤔 So I call and they apologized and said they are going to call him and get him turned around and return to do my lawn. Nope, no one returns, I call the following day and they say they will add my concerns to their notes and someone will contact me shortly. The next day still no call back and no service!!!!! I called again and requested to have a manager call me back… not holding my breath

I want to give 5-stars but considering the technician's work it results a 1-star. I'm sure Jamauri is a nice young man, and I do want to mention that he showed up to work and was dressed professionally, which I appreciated. However, I was not happy with the work I observed on my property through my surveillance cameras. He completed only one row of fertilization on the south side of my front yard and two rows on the north side. My yard is quite large, and from what I observed, less than 50% of the front yard was treated. Regarding the backyard, I watched him go through the back north gate and return within about two minutes. My backyard currently has significant nutgrass and mud, which is the primary reason I contacted Emerald—to consistently treat and control the weeds and nutgrass. If the backyard had actually been fertilized, he would likely have been covered in mud, but his boots appeared clean when he returned. Based on what I observed, it does not appear that the full property was treated as expected, but I did contact Emerald's Temple office to explain the concern. I spoke to a very nice young lady who patiently listened and escalated my concern to leadership. She gets a 5-star. So right now the average is a 3-star, but that is still too high of a rating. I really want Emerald to work out for the sake of my yard, so we'll see.

I had the service my lawn for a few years until my lawn health continued to decline. I went with a new company who focused on soil health. I canceled months ago and they keep sending people (3 times now) to try to service my lawn. I called in 3 times and emailed on the website- they WILL NOT STOP. I’d never work with them again. This is a shady tactic to try to trick customers into continued servicing who tried to cancel. Also, there making me waste my time calling over and over.
