If I could give zero stars I would. My husband is the account holder. They are the worst, won’t let me cancel, you have to personally call them to cancel. Never answered my husbands email to add me (his wife) to the account he send about a month ago. They only come 4 times a year. That’s $720 a year, and yet we still have brown widows and other bugs and fire ants. I told them to have someone come out asap to spray inside and outside. But again since I’m not an authorized user i can’t. I asked for a supervisor to call me and they refused that as well. Terrible company, bogus polices and horrendous customer service. It’s a joke- don’t waste your money.
After being with this company for 4 years, getting the same treatment every 3 months, we signed a 36 month Agreement with them. After about 9 months into that agreement, they CHANGED how they did things, not tell myself or my wife! As we found out, they were no longer spraying on the inside of the house (multiple people on the phone were telling me different). In the meantime, we were paying $43 per month for them to only come out 4 times a year to spread granular and dust around the eve spouts, something I always do myself anyway. Did they guarantee a Warranty visit if we ever had any problems after their scheduled visit, of course, but that also requires having to take days off throughout the year to wait around on them…their warranty visits can be anywhere from 8-4pm! After not being pleased with their NEW way of doing things, we decided to cancel our service! Then, we were slapped with a $199 cancellation fee for breaking OUR agreement. In all, we were with this company for almost 6 years and they made us PAY for leaving them, after THEY broke the agreement when they stopped doing their normal routine inside the house. This was not fair, and the multiple people I talked to from Corporate all the way down to the Field Guys, all had different stories, but not ONE started with “Sorry, we apologize for not notifying you of the changes that occurred in our agreement?” And maybe offer us a NEW agreement, but No! We CANCELED…can’t trust them!
An absolutely terrible company to work with. Signed up for two services… normal pest control and an upgraded outdoor package to help fumigate for mosquitoes. Used the service for over six months and not one time did we actually get the treatments we paid for. It’s frustrating as hell, but hilarious they don’t even attempt to hide it. Read the captions in the attached screenshot of our last service report. Called to cancel because we were not getting the service we are paying for and I got charged two $199 cancellation fees. It’s truly unbelievable! Don’t use them and warn your neighbors to steer clear.
I sign a contract for services to keep my house free of roaches… so i thought! Then they come out and supposedly put some granules down and inspect! Then i ask “well shouldnt i be home” and theyre like “well what are you seeing?” We have seen like 3 roaches 🪳 idk what kind they determine its german roaches which is not included in my service! So we schedule and “inspection “ now its an extra $600 on top of my monthly $40 plus $15 for rodents! This is nothing but a money making scam in my opinion! They should have told me upfront what specific roaches were included in the monthly maintenance! Do not use HAWK SERVICES! You will be broke!
⚠️⚠️⚠️So imma go ahead and call this company all the way out. When my husband said this kid said he “would pay for the first month himself”, I raised an eyebrow. Only to come here and see that this is, in fact, a legally nuanced bribe for services that seem to lock people in with no way out. I sure am glad we looked first, because it sounded so odd to me that he told my husband that when he gets paid, he will pay it. That’s not business. Also what he offered was MONTHLY visits, at $40/month. What I’m seeing here is absolutely not $40/mo for monthly services (needed in Texas), but instead they hold out every three months and charge all three at the same time. It’s not monthly at all 🤣 Guys, these tactics will sink your business. It’s unethical and then to seemingly have no idea what any of you are doing (IE- someone’s broken garage, techs ghosting, lying about fees, and not actually taking care of insects. It seems the only pests are the people who run this predatory business and send these poor kids door to door. Shame. To add- We notice when you only respond to positive feedback and offer nothing to those you stole from. You won’t be getting our business and I’ll be letting everyone around me know about these practices. Also, going onto property that says “NO TRESPASSING” and “NO SOLICITING”, is not only illegal but can be lethal, the man who warned you about this was doing you a favor. Train your employees to respect the law. Respect the law, yourselves. I imagine you’re already in a financial disaster if your salesman are paying out of pocket for customers. Your reviews are telling you WHY, and you are CHOOSING to ignore those and, sadly, that’s going to be the reason this company stays where it is now. I agreed to a "one time" service in July 2025 that was offered by the salesperson after I declined to a 12 month service subscription due to the fact that I was going to be moving within 6 months. It is now November and I just found out that the salesperson actually signed me up for the 12 month service. How did I find out? Because a Hawx pest control person shows up to my house. I questioned him on why he was there because I didnt want this service past the one time service. He stated what I was actually signed up for. He also stated that there have been recent reports of Hawx door to door salesperson's who have been misleading others with the same SCAM that I am describing right now. I spoke to an account manager to cancel this service, and now I'm going to be charged a $199 cancellation fee for a stupid service that I didnt even want. So in total, Hawx has stolen $360. They wouldnt refund anything. They wouldnt remove the cancellation fee. They offered a 1 month credit at my new residence. Dont sign up with this company!
⚠️ CONSUMER WARNING: Read this before you let ANYONE from Hawx step onto your property. ⚠️ If Marvin Zindler were alive today, he’d be out here screaming “SLIME IN THE ICE MACHINE!” about Hawx Pest Control, because the way they operate isn’t just shady — it’s practically a masterclass in predatory door-to-door sales. Here’s how it went down: A young salesman knocked on my door, acting friendly and “desperate for a sale,” which should’ve been my first red flag. We had a fly problem in the backyard, so I listened — but I told him clearly I couldn’t afford anything. Instead of taking no for an answer, he pushed. Hard. So hard he literally CashApped me $50 of his own money just to get me to sign up for what he described as a simple “ongoing subscription,” “just for the summer months,” and nowhere near $84 per treatment. Not once — not ONCE — did he disclose that: I was signing a 12-month contract With a required minimum of 5 visits At $84.13 per visit Plus tax Plus fees Plus “early termination penalties” Plus automatic renewals Plus aggressive billing practices If he HAD been honest, I would’ve shut the door immediately. But surprise: everything he “forgot” to mention was buried in the fine print of a digital contract rushed through at almost midnight — literally 11:39 PM — which they apparently think is a normal time to legally bind people. And once that contract is signed? You’re not a customer. You’re a target. Within weeks, Hawx hit me with: Multiple phone calls Multiple emails Billing threats And even attempts to pull money straight from my CashApp, all while I had my card LOCKED Imagine a company so desperate for money they repeatedly try charging a locked card like they’re hoping you blink. The real kicker? When I called in, suddenly I “owed over $200” — for TWO yard sprays — and the rep told me the other fees were “future charges” and “cancellation costs.” Two sprays at $86 each for a backyard misting that took the tech maybe ten minutes. That’s not pest control. That’s predatory revenue extraction in a polo shirt. Let me be extremely clear: Hawx may be a “legitimate” business on paper, but their sales tactics are absolutely scam-adjacent, deceptive, and designed to lock people into contracts they were NEVER clearly told about — especially vulnerable or financially stressed homeowners. If this company shows up at your door: Close it. Lock it. Shut your blinds. Release the hounds. Do anything except sign. And to the owners and upper management of Hawx: If you’re reading this (and trust me, you will), FIX your sales culture. Because what’s happening in the field is not “salesmanship” — it’s unethical, misleading, pressure-based entrapment. And the internet has a long memory. Hawx didn’t just lose my business. They earned this review.
Very disappointed with the company. No professionalism at all. I called to cancel my service but as it would turn out, my membership was not cancelled and was charged again. They never did try to resolve the issue, I had to pay the fee for the month after that was charged after I “cancelled”. Once I did pay and cancelled immediately, I was not made aware that everything would end immediately. I was under the assumption that I would be able to schedule them until the end of the membership. Would not recommend!
So disappointed. I don’t want to name the kid that came but basically they came and because I was sick of Aptiv offered me a lower cost. Aptiv was quarterly 120 he offered me 86 for quarterly service. Great. No exit fees. Great. Fast forward I’m being charged every month. Apparently it’s in my contract. (Not how I read it I will attach it here) If I want to exit? I have to pay 400$ WTH on top of that three times in a ROW, they said service had been done which it hadn’t. Random photo as proof. People seem to not really want to work in this company. At this point Aptiv was easier to deal with. Literally cheating their customers. Called me and said we are doing mosquitos and ticks spray in your area would you like it? I said if it’s a free service yes if it’s anything on top no I do not(they added it as an add on to my contract) so along with 86 PER MONTH, they have been charging 43 for and mosquitos and ticks PER MONTH AS WELL. I am shocked at how they are cheating us. Honestly I will be either going to consumer court or suing them. On top of that I just saw a rat, a snake, and roaches in my house. Whatever they are doing it’s not working. And have never heard of someone paying monthly for a quarterly service. Must be a new way to cheat people
Do not recommend! Treatments do not work and my technician broke my garage door and didn’t report it to his supervisor, so I am having to report it. I’ve been using Hawx for 7 months.
