I’m excited to have Barefoot on board to cure my lawn’s sudden and widespread outbreak of weeds. Barefoot came highly recommended by a friend. They quoted me a very reasonable rate, provided me with their recommended schedule of treatments for the year, and got started the day after I asked them to come out. In the past I’d had troubles with weeds and with lawn worms and I have not been able to get them under control. I am excited to see the green of my lawn return!

I was a long time customer with Bob Jenkins. Very satisfied with their service. Once Barefoot bought them it became harder and harder to get a definitive time for my residential quarterly pest control service. Two hour windows became four hour windows. They quit calling me to schedule the service and just sent an email they were coming on a particular date and to open my gate. That doesn’t work for me because I have a dog, want indoor service too, and have to be home when they are here. Today was the final insult. I had an “8-12 am” window. Waited until 12:15 and nothing. No text, no call. I canceled my service. I’ll find a different pest control company.

Services are scheduled based on the selected service frequency, so for a quarterly (90-day) plan, visits are automatically scheduled around that timeframe.<br><br>Our four-hour service windows are used to help ensure service can still be completed in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as traffic delays, weather, or earlier appointments taking longer than expected. That said, we understand how frustrating it is to wait beyond the scheduled window without an update, and we regret that this was your experience. So sorry for all of the people that are new to this company and think they are great. Bob Jenkins was great and sadly y’all will never understand how above and beyond this company was before the buyout. Steve if you are reading this, please know you are missed and you are the absolute best tech ever! You left according to the customer service rep and we have now too. This company does not value its customers, people’s time, or the homes they service. The first time a random tech showed up I figured maybe our normal guy was sick so I let him in thinking he would show the same respect and care for our home but not at all. We have an infant that is crawling and this guy came in with no care spraying babies toys and everything else. After that terrible service, the same guy showed up after they automatically scheduled us so we said to only to service the outside. I finally called and found out our guy is gone. And now we are too. The automatic scheduling and inability to reach customer service is ridiculous. They have definitely changed the product too as we have not had issues in all of our years with Bob Jenkins but whatever the new company uses is subpar. Bye barefoot you will not be missed.

We were happy customers with Bob Jenkins for years. Then they got bought by Barefoot Mosquito and the experience fell off a cliff. The office repeatedly ignored our requests to schedule appts with us, each time apologizing and promising to change but doing the opposite. Hold times are long. They want to treat just the outside of your home and not see you. They’re trying to run this business with no customer interaction whatsoever. Seems like they only care about money and automation. It’s sad. We found a more customer-oriented pest control service for 20% less.

EDITx2: I received an automated alert that my service is being performed tomorrow. I e-mailed Jun 12th and left a voicemail to cancel. I also e-mailed today asking for a cancellation confirmation with no reply. EDIT: I only received a response after I left the review (a text). I never received a phone call or text until then. I had Bob Jenkins for years, not happy with Barefoot. A tech came out for a pest control service. He spent a total of 7 minutes at my house, that includes standing at my door after ringing the bell. He walked the perimeter and sprayed where the house meets the ground, then left. $112. I talked to a call center and they are supposed to spread granules in the yard as well. I called, I e-mailed, no response. Cancelling service.

Updated on 9/24/25 Had 5-star service in the beginning, but it has plummeted since. Something has happened to our local office here in San Antonio. An appointment was made last week without coordinating with me first. I had to jump through all kinds of hoops to get it rescheduled. On the day of service, I got an email that the technician couldn't make it. After speaking with reps in Austin and Dallas (no calls being taken in San Antonio), I rescheduled for today. The technician was a no-show. Original review: Setting up my first appointment for the inspection was incredibly easy. Richard showed up on time and was very thorough in inspecting the suspect areas of where the critters could be. He was able to make a quick assessment and suggest options for a very affordable plan. Very friendly and addressed all of my concerns.

I’ve been a customer for nearly 10 years when they we’re first Bob Jenkins Pest and Lawn. Since the buyout and transition to Barefoot, they are not the same. I’m still a customer but not for much longer if they can’t get it together. No one calls back when you leave a message and trying to get anyone to answer is almost impossible. I really was a fan of this company and used to recommend them to everyone. Now I’m afraid I’m gonna have to start shopping around again. Boy do I missed the customer service when they were a smaller company.

I was charged for a service that wasn't completed. The technician didn't show to perform inside pest control service but I was charged anyway. I called and asked why I was charged and was told I've been rescheduled. I told them being scheduled doesn't give you the right to charge me before the service is completed. I don't trust this company and I consider it unethical to change customers before the service is completed.

We have been very pleased with Bob Jenkins. From the first interaction, we were never over sold. Philip provided service today and explained what he doing, offered options and took time to answer my questions. Very professional and polite. Will definitely ask for Philip for our next service. UPDATED REVIEW: Unfortunately, since Bob Jenkins become Barefoot Mosquito, the service has not been as good. We actually cancelled service with them. Customer service/communication with the office was poor and response times were horrible. A perfect example is the response from the company today to my original review seven months ago. I would definitely look elsewhere if you want a responsive customer care team.

They fertilized my green, plush, healthy lawn when the temperatures were close to 100 degrees and it ruined my lawn within a matter of days. Yellow spots all over. Their response was… it was diseased, I watered too much, sun spots, ground needs aeration, large patch. They used every excuse in the book. My lawn looked great until they sprayed their liquid fertilizer mix on it. I wouldn’t trust these guys if you value your lawn.

I’ve been with Bob Jenkins for years now. I always ask for Noel to be my technician. He is extremely knowledgeable, efficient, thorough, and professional. Noel is friendly, considerate, and patient with the pup even with her causing a ruckus. Update: the acquiring company (Barefoot) failed to retain Noel, the technician that I trust and have built a positive business relationship with. This knocks them down to 1 star. Retaining high quality technicians is a very important part of business, especially when taking over another business that has built great customer satisfaction and trust. It’s very unfortunate that this has occurred and I will be looking for another pest control company and would NOT recommend them to a new customer.
