Sparta Lawn Care

I signed up for weekly lawn maintenance starting in April 2025. By 6/9/25 they let me know that they needed to switch to bi-weekly. It was almost a month before the next time they came to cut my lawn. I ended up cancelling my service because they were too inconsistent.

I had an unfortunate experience with Sparta and canceled their service. I do want to say that one of the guys who came out, Dominic, seemed to want to do a good job (I saw him go back over another guy’s work to improve it, and he was really the only one who did a nice job on my yard). However, they rarely came out on the day they said they would, at one point went almost three weeks without mowing and my yard was very overgrown. They also charged me one time before even coming out to do the work, leaving me wondering when they would come out. It was another two days before they showed up. When I reached out to express disappointment, I was left on read. I would not recommend this service to a neighbor or friend.

My service was rescheduled from 4/21 to 4/30, over a week later. This is supposedly because of rain, but there were multiple clear days on the week this was rescheduled. Their contract states that rain make-up will occur the same week, no later than Sunday. They have violated this part of their contract. I let them know I need it done ASAP because the yard is in terrible condition and in violated of the city's code. They agree to come on 4/29 to take care of it. Suddenly, without any notification, I see that my appointment has been changed to the next day 4/30 once again, supposedly due to a truck breaking down on 4/28. I call them to cancel my service and find someone else, because I need this done. They then threaten to charge me 5x the cost of a single mow (approx. $300) if I cancel before their third visit. THE THIRD VISIT THAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED BY NOW IF THEY HAD HONORED THEIR OBLIGATIONS. The lady I spoke to was not at all understanding and showed no remorse. Take your lawncare needs elsewhere.

They need to work on communication with new customers. I called to schedule my first service after doing the process online. I was told I would receive a call letting me know a day in advance when someone was coming to my house. I didn't receive a call all week. Comes Monday and receive a text message saying someone will be at my house in 10 minutes. That is not enough notice when I work and need to leave the back gate open for them to come in. I called and canceled the services.

Calvin and Channen arrived as scheduled, unloaded and took care of the cutting, trimming and blowing off the hardscape. Both men were polite and efficient, got the work done, loaded their equipment, answered a couple questions I had and were on their way!

The front lawn work was good. He took care of all of the leaves and made the lawn, for the time of year, look good. Jerome was quick, efficient, and his work was great. Can't wait for them to finish up my yard's "Sorting cleaning."

Shaquille did an awesome job! This was my first experience with Sparta Lawn Care. Shaquille and his team member were professional, quick, and efficient whilst still displaying quality work.

They were very prompt in their arrival for my first treatment. Colton and his truck mate (didn’t ask his name unfortunately) were very nice, and very professional. I am looking forward to getting my lawn looking great this year with their help.

Weed killer application was applied and showed no results. The individual was more interested in getting me to sign up for your services.

Colt waited for me to get home and informed me about what he did and the entire process. Customer service is key and he gets an A.

Great job to Colt and his teammate. Did a fabulous job on something massive and got it all done in an hour. Went above and beyond the expectations.
