We hired Mike a few years ago to remove shrubs and trees that were growing/attaching to our home. We had this issue for several years, hired others in the past but the tree/shrubs/vine continued to grow year after year…until we hired Mike. He knew exactly what to do with our vine/tree problem, fixed it and it never grew back. We are in our third year of no regrowth and couldn’t be more pleased. He was very quick to respond, extremely knowledgeable about all our landscaping needs, polite and easy to work with. I would recommend him for any landscaping needs you may have.

I recently hired Desperate Landscapes and Lawn Care for a project around my house, and I am so happy I found Mike and his team! Mike was very professional, extremely knowledgeable, and the project was completed in a timely manner. They did a great job --very neat and beautiful. The outside of my house looks great now! I paid Mike $280 to dethatch and overseed my lawn. When he was done there were several spots that were obviously missed (see pics). I told Mike I was concerned the new grass seed would not make contact with the soil. He made NO effort to address my concerns - just a lot of excuses. Three weeks later, no new grass. A complete waste of money.

I called to get an estimate on mowing my lawn, and was advised that someone would come out and provide me an estimate. After waiting four days, I called back to see why no one ever gave me a call to give me an update. The gentleman on the phone was extremely short with me, and stated it wouldn’t be worth their time to mow my lawn. I questioned if they only do commercial or residential lawns, to which he replied they do service residential lawns mine just isn’t worth it… Although I have 7000 ft.² of land…I suppose they just don’t want my business. I am unsure if they only looked at my front yard, and not my backyard… Either way it was rude dismissive and unprofessional to treat any potential customer that way. They might not want my business, but now they will never get any business from me my friends or my family.

Desperate Landscaping provided extensive landscaping services to several areas on our property last fall. They removed old shrubs, mulch and weed barrier, removed weeds and trimmed over grown trees and shrubs. After cleaning all the areas they planned new ground cover shrubs that we wanted, laid new mulch, created a perennial garden as requested. They were prompt, professional, courteous and timely. The work was completed as discussed to our specifications. We believe we received outstanding value for an outstanding price.

We used Desperate Landscapes for our desperate sloped backyard to try to turn some of our mudslides into grassy areas and to repair disastrous septic tank replacement damage. He called me back promptly and came on time to the appointment we made for the estimate, and showed up as scheduled for the work he was doing. His prices were reasonable and the work he did was probably as good as we were going to get considering the wet spring/summer we had and the sloping backyard. It wasn’t perfect, but it was certainly better! We would use him again for a different project.
