I cancelled my account today. Forced a bill for a lawn treatment without setting up time and date with me as previously instructed. Arrogant staff and management.

They do PHENOMENAL WORK!!!

This is my second season with GSI, and I’m more than pleased with the results, considering that I do not irrigate my lawn (in this case, expectations must be managed). They are reasonably priced (I used to spend an insane amount doing it myself) and the customer service is great. I reached out with a concern, and the response was polite and professional, with them sending someone out within the week to touch things up at no charge to me. Would recommend them to anyone to try out. Will update in the future if things change.

Had ground services for about 15 years. Total between properties on and off. My current property I had them for about 7 years. Multiple people in the same neighborhood had them. We started noticing about a year and a half 2 years ago that we were developing bad brown spots. Had them out multiple times to look and they said it was just different grasses at different times of year. Gave them the benefit of the doubt. Last year horrendous brown spots started developing all over the yard. In places where the grass was normally lush and green and had now died off in big patches. Our yard looks worse than my daughter's yard next door who doesn't treat at all. Had them out again and was fed the same story that it is multiple different types of grass causing the problems. Drought tolerant grass was greener in the drought, and died off in the wet, and vice versa. Again. I took them to heart and even had them quote me to have everything killed off and just one type of grass put in. Until I spoke to my neighbors who also got rid of ground services for their grass. Of the several neighbors who had them they all have discontinued services as well. wouldn't you know it was because they started developing bad dead spots in their yard. Where once greenlawns prevailed dead lawns now have surfaced and taken over. Wow. Do better. I was with GSI for three properties and never had an issue at our previous two properties other than having to do some retouches. But everyday I have to hear my wife telling me how horrible our lawn looks and it just makes me sick to my stomach that I paid for a service that started off three times a year and ended up almost seven times a year. And had the worst looking lawn in the neighborhood.

1st year with the company and couldn't be happier. Quick turn around time for any additional spraying and techs care about the lawn with kids toys.

Started a lawn from scratch and GSI has provided exceptional service along the way. John, Anthony, and the rest of the GSI team have provided guidance the entire time and have gone above and beyond with their customer service. While my lawn is still young and developing, I am happy to have a company like GSI to help.

John and his whole team at GSI are phenomenal. They actually care about creating the best possible lawn and treat each property according to it's needs rather than having a "cookie cutter" corporate approach to treatments. We are happy with their services and will continue to recommend them to our irrigation clients.

I have been using GSI for 10 years. Our lawn when we lived in a neighborhood was flawless. They overseeded my backyard and the results were tremendous. We have since moved and the size of the yard makes it impossible to be perfect and so we have selected a few of the services. They are going to restore a large section of my lawn and I cannot wait to have the new grass in place. John Jr. is phenomenal. I recommend GSI whenever I can.

Have always seen the GSI trucks driving in the area or seen their workers out doing what they do. I was always impressed with how well dressed and professional they looked- as compared to passing by some other company on someone's property with a beat up pick up truck, a trailer with mediocre equipment and a couple of guys in neon hoodies servicing similar areas. Talk about sketchy. That to say the professional and clean look also extends to their services. Having had personal experience with multiple employees of Grounds Services and the owner himself, I'm confident that you really can't find quality and personal experience as good as this. Gave 5 stars because Google doesn't offer the option of a perfect 10. My yard is always weed free and the services are timely.

I want to personally thank the crew at Ground Services. We had a hornet's nest that for life of me, I could not get rid of. Thanks for the pest control application! Without you guys, I couldn't leave my house without fear of getting stung. Thanks again!!

3 years ago we couldn't walk in our yard. Rock hard and thin grass, he asked we be patient as he planned services. First cut of this year and I can't believe how thick and green the grass is. Thank you GSI for giving us a yard we're proud of and be reasonably priced so we can afford it.

For those, who don’t want to read the details, long story short, this is the best company you can find in the community. My lawn is the best looking in the neighborhood and people comes over to ask me questions about how I take care my lawn. UPDATE (4/27/20): The grass is coming back strong. Last fall, GSI over seeded the yard again, however, I don’t think I got as much visible results as I did the season before. While I had concerns regarding Crabgrass and Quackgrass that were not addressed last season, I have the best looking yard in the neighborhood. I am attaching two more picture to show how my yard looks like after 1.5 season. I did 3 applications of lime and several broadleaf application before I learned that GSI would spray broadleaf weed killers if I contact them. But they won’t do lime applications and I wanted to keep the pH level a little high. Lastly, on top of what GSI did, I put down granular insecticides each season. This season, I used liquid insecticide. I hope it helps the turf overall. UPDATE (7/6/19): It has been a while, so I think it’s time to update my review. Since the aeration and overseeding in the last spring, my lawn showed a huge difference. I am a first time home buyer and had no idea about lawn care back in June 2018. The previous owner didn’t care about the yard and I had crabgrass and grub invasion in my yard over the summer. So, I ended up with a 100% brown yard at the end of the summer. Then GSI took care of my yard needs. Over the spring, the yard looked amazing because of all the rain we had. I also did an application for insects and broadleaf weeds. Then a technician came out and told me not to, because I would get free broadleaf weed spraying anytime I have a problem with it. This is a great gesture I believe. A good way to do business. Since my last application, they came out to spray the weeds one more time. Last week, I realized I am starting to have crabgrass, and quackgrass invasion along with some broadleaf weeds. I called the company and was told that I would be given options about my yard once the technician came out to spray the weeds. The technician came out and left me a slip that shows an application for broadleaf weeds. This time is the first time I didn’t smell any chemicals in the yard, right after an application. I honestly don’t think that anything was done at all. I know how the chemical smells because I use it for my backyard all the time. And nothing was done for quackgrass and I wasn’t told anything about it. Today, I gave a call but voicemail was full so I couldn’t even get in touch with them. I am worried because it seems like crabgrass and quackgrass are going to invade the lawn and I will end up watering the whole yard for no reason 😞 At the end of the summer, I will update my review one more time. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I started using GSI’s services about 7 months ago such as aeration, overseeding, grub control, and seasonal applications. Even though it’s below my expectations so far, I consider the fact that my expectations might not be realistic enough because this is my first experience with this sort of service. Normally I would give probably 4 stars, maybe even 3 but I know this is business and I don’t want to mess up with anybody’s business due to having possibly unrealistic expectations. Another reason for 5 stars is that I have a friend who gets the service from GSI. I love his lawn. It is absolutely amazing!!! I don’t know if it’s because of the company or the quality of the grass, watering, or the combination of all of these, but I know at least some portion of the credit should belong the GSI. I just want to give more time to the company to see the true effects of their service. I will wait until the end of July to write my final thoughts about the service. It also will help me to decide whether I will use the company for my backyard too. Right now, I am only getting service for my front yard and observing the changes.

The person that was sent had a major attitude like he didn't want to do anything.I wasn't going to waste anymore time especially my money. I made the best decision to not have it done. I didn't trust he would do a good job. I don't regret doing so. I rated his attitude, it was major and ugly, there was no way I was going to let him or anyone else like that do anything for me.

Scumbag staff. Driver backs over my car, acts as if he is a good samaritan, gives insurance info, drives off before cops can arrive, low and behold, claims to his insurance that i was at fault. STAY AWAY FROM SHADY SERVICE COMPANYS
