I got a quote from Plunkett's/Varment Guard to remove bats from my attic, seal, and clean the attic. The quote was $26,000!!! Got a second quote from a local company, less than $3,000! Do not use this company, it's a scam!!

I spoke to 3 customer service reps in 4 phone calls to Plunkets today in an attempt to get groundhog removal service. With each call, their main concern was getting my credit card info. Not the name correct, not the e-mail link to the customer portal or helping with tech support to correct the issues online. I'll look for service elsewhere.

Didn’t really get an opportunity to work with them. Boss bought a property that they were servicing, they sent a very generic service contract for us to sign/keep them on, however when I requested a more detailed breakdown of what they’d be doing at each visit I didn’t get a response- they sent the same generic contract again, without explanation. Ended up going with a different provider that we use at other properties.

I like Plunkett’s. Have used them in the past with excellent results. But my new house has some sort of super spiders and nothing they did killed them. (We’re just waiting for one of us to wake up as Spider-Man one of these days!) We paid for a year of service and had the technicians out several times (10?) but to no avail. We chose not to renew the contract and will seek a different service going forward.

Plunketts took over our account when they bought out our previous pest control provider, Go Green. We rarely needed a reapplication with Go Green, but if we requested it, they came back at no charge. We always had consistent and great service with Go Green. From the start, Plunketts has been substandard at best- this is the second season I’ve been a client with them and they have already started the every-other-month- service, where they generally show up every month at their leisure. Last year, I let it slide as the area supervisor explained they were handed a mess and trying to sort through it. I agreed to give them a chance after an initial issue and bad customer service experience- but they have not seemed to have been able to pull it together as of June 2025. They showed up randomly one day this year in mid April, it is now a week into June and they have not been back out to service our property since, meanwhile we are being eaten alive by bugs. Even when they came out, I noticed it seemed like they just sprayed some here and there, nothing like what Go Green was doing, and the results were that we were still being eaten up, although less so. With Go Green it was always good til the 3rd or 4th week depending on how heavy our rains were. The price is the same but the service has been terrible. I finally called today to cancel my service after yet another night of being bitten up on the back deck, the girl I spoke to was very nice but seemed unsurprised and made no attempt to salvage my business. I placed another call to a local pest company today and am hoping for better results. I would avoid this company for specially if you are in the Geauga county service area.

I paid $300 to have my house sprayed for spiders. The guys that came out were very nice and professional. I don’t know if they accidentally sprayed water or the wrong spray but it had ZERO EFFECT. When I called back to tell them it’s not working they said it’s ANOTHER $150 to re-spray. I explained how it’s not working at all and that it was expensive. They said they’d call corporate and get back to me. 🤣. NEVER heard back. SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF MONEY AND HEADACHE…. Go with ANY other company.
