I decided to sign up with Moxie after they were door to door selling, they promised better prices on their services compared to what I was getting prior, so I made the switch. Their bi-monthly pest services were reasonable and consistent, however I was told I had an active termite issue, and pushed me into paying over $2400 on termite traps. Fast forward, in their "free" annual attic inspection, I was told there was an active rodent issue, and fixing it with new insulation etc. was going to cost around $8K. I decided to have a few other opinions from other companies, and found that this was not an "active" problem, this was a very old problem and didn't need to be addressed. I also had them look for the active termite issue, to which I was told that was also likely an issue that occurred years and years ago, and their termite costs was more than double what I would have paid from other companies. This was in 2024, then 2025 I was hit with a $500 charge for them to "service" the termite traps, which was auto-renewed. I was notified that they were coming out this last month, however, I didn't recall that the charge was $500, and was not told that it would be that high. I assumed it would be maybe $100. The service technician was at my home for less than 20 minutes (per my ring cam footage) and allegedly replaced 2 of the baits. I was hit with another $500 fee for less than 20 minutes worth of work. So essentially in a 2.5 year period I have paid almost $3,500 for a service I likely didn't need in the first place. I was able to get them to drop the fee today after speaking with customer/account services by half the cost, however the way this company has done business is not a company I would ever recommend. I felt like due to lack of knowledge I was talked into paying way too much money for something I didn't need. Almost twice. Everyone I have spoken to was nice enough, but definitely get second opinions on any upcharge or bigger services they tell you is needed.

I used Moxie Pest Control for a year (5 services), then sold our house and moved. The gave the final treatment the day before we closed, I spoke with them, and they acknowledged the contract was complete and canceled ... HOWEVER, they continued treating the house and billing us. When I call the representative says (after check records) you did what you should. (I was smart enough to remove credit card number from the account), and the Bills continue to come every 10 days. Formerly I had a complaint they were pushy about extra services (but they were good at the treatments). Now I would tell people they are ENTIRELY UNRESPONSIVE! ... and yes, pushy about extra services, and asking me to pay for treating a house that was not even mine!!

I wish I could give them a zero but this is truly a bait and switch and I will be reporting them to Better Business Bureau and Attorney General. I originally was sold that they control ALL bugs including mosquitoes. They spray twice for mosquitoes when it rain. Not to mention that they stated that they would come out unlimited times until the bugs are gone. The problem is it took over a month and sometimes longer to get someone to come out. And when they came out they were clueless as to why they were there. I repeated asked them not to use the credit card that I had originally purchased the service and yet it was mysteriously put on autocharged and then when I asked them to remove it, they stated they did only to have the credit card charged without my authorization. RUN....do not walk away!!! The only positive I would say is the first technician was absolutely thorough which is why I did not cancel the service. Buyers beware....I wish I had researched this before wasting almost $2k for nothing.

Avoid Moxie Pest Control at all costs. Their door-to-door solicitors are deceptive, their service is ineffective, and their prices are higher than nearly everyone else’s. The “free inspections” and “follow-ups” are just high-pressure sales tactics designed to lock you into contracts you’ll regret. They overpromise and underdeliver.

Moxie- you need to reevaluate how you’re training your door to door salesman that have been in the Rock Hill area recently. I had a confrontation with a young “representative” last week that was extremely unprofessional, blatantly rude and disrespectful for my space and boundaries. This person did not listen to a single word I said and made me feel very uncomfortable on my own property. They finally left after a very uncomfortable conversation where I expressed zero interest in their pest control. I worry for others in our area that may be approached by this person which is the whole purpose of my review.

What ever you do...DO NOT SIGN with these guys when they come to the house. They talk a good game but are the WORST pest company I have every had. There were tons of cob webs still present after they left (photos), and this was on my front porch...not somewhere hard to see or reach. They came back for a repeat and now just weeks later I still have pest and cob webs all over. I can't cancel without paying 80% of what I would pay for the remainder of the year and I just started with them. I called and was told a manager would call me due to my poor service and I NEVER heard from anyone. When you call you have to go through an AI bot on the phone before you can get a real person. It is obvious the person you are talking to is a call center somewhere. I truly regret ever signing up with this company and can't wait until my year is up. Next time I will absolutely go local. Hopefully someone reads this and doesn't get persuaded like I did....

Moxie has rude sales reps disturbing entire neighborhoods and I will never do business with a company that trains their employees to be so blatantly disrespectful. First off, get off my grass. Second off, don't park your stupid Segway on my grass. Third, when someone tells you no thank you through the ring doorbell, don't knock again. Lastly, get a real job. DON'T DO BUSINESS with companies that hire and allow their employees to act this way towards potential customers. DO BETTER MOXIE.

This company’s approach to door-to-door sales has been extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. Our neighborhood is clearly marked “No Soliciting,” yet their sales representatives continue to ignore that. They ring the bell and knock. But to knock again immediately after being told we aren’t interested is harassing behavior, plain and simple. Neighbors have shared how uncomfortable they are when the come to their door. People don’t want to be rude but when you can’t take a hint and won’t leave it becomes aggressive. Everyone in the neighborhood are fed up, and it’s being talked about all over our neighborhood Facebook group. Not a single person has had anything good to say. On top of that, they show zero respect for property (walking through grass, standing in yards, and even leaving their hoverboard or segway in mulch beds with plants). That’s unacceptable. If you have to pressure, hound, and ignore “no” to get business, then you don’t deserve business. A company that can’t respect basic boundaries will never earn trust in this community. Do better. Seriously.

Extremely pushy and rude door to door sales people. Refused to leave my property after telling him no three times. When I informed him that there was no soliciting in the neighborhood, he told me it was OK because he was “under the radar.” Several complaints in the neighborhood about him.

Where do I begin. Very dissatisfied with Moxie pest control. Was told that when buying the service contract that it would not bother kids being I have a two year old and a newborn so that they could make the sale. Upon buying the contract that changed and they do not treat the interior of the home due to safety of kids under 3. Complete lie to make a sale. Since the service has began the bug activity has been rampant and I set up their “guarantee” appointment every other week for a “tech” to come out spend five minutes knocking down spider webs and leaving saying give us a call if you have anymore problems. When telling a moxie tech who was here trying to sell me an $2500 termite package about it, he said they want to come back so that they can make their hours. How about fixing the problem! I’m not here to give people hours on their paycheck to come to my house once a week! You can’t cancel without being charged! I didn’t see a single bug when I treated the home myself but wanted to leave it to the “professionals” due to my busy schedule and that was a huge mistake. Steer clear.
