Strand Termite & Pest Control

Aaron Payne from Strand Pest Control came out to our house for a one time spray of inside and out after we discovered some tiny tiny bugs. He identified the specimen we collected and did a very thorough job! He explained what the bug was where it came from and how to control it. He took his time and sprayed inside and out. I was very impressed with him.

Rodney Thomas came out to do termite prevention service. Very personable, explained everything he was going to do and performed it professionally. Very very happy with my service today!

Steven Burris has been by our home several times and is always friendly and helpful. Gave great advice on a wasp nest problem we were having!

Always get their work done efficently. Bobby Britt really helped me out. Went out of his way to address something on our property he didnt have to.

Steven Burris just performed our semi annual preventative treatment for insect infestations in an exemplary manner. We had questions about some issues that he had helpful advice for and also he took immediate steps to address possible problems with instructions on how to proceed if concerns grew. He spent extra time getting every corner of the house even hard to reach areas- and around the perimeter of the home too. On top of all his hard thorough work he also managed to make us laugh, making getting bug service a lot more fun. We both feel the house is well protected and we sure are glad he is our “bug guy”!

We have been a customer of Strand since 2019 and it’s very disappointing that they sold out/merged with other companies and under new “management”. The new customer service is HORRENDOUS- I can’t stress this enough!!! They can’t get the billing correct, they automatically schedule your service and if you can’t be there you need to wait 4-6 weeks for a reschedule then they want to schedule your next quarterly based on the original dates so they want to come back in 7 weeks, you can’t speak to a anyone that can answer a question so they put you on hold for 15 minutes and disconnect you. It’s a same because the guys that actual do the work on site are very nice.

Company was bought by a Swedish company. You will never reach a person, only a call center in Charlotte. Even when you call and leave a message, they will email you back. They don’t set a “time” to come, but rather a “day”. It seems your choices are a yearly inspection with no treatment( but an upfront contract of <1,000$), then a yearly of 160$ for an 8 yr period OR a monthly contract of 30$/month for a new bait/trap that they use and install. Steven Burris was our tech. Very respectful and thorough/knowledgeable. Miss the old company that we worked with in Ocean isle. Unfortunately, the tech only gets a bonus for a 5 star review. Hmmm-that seems like a less than honest review and the tech will never benefit, if you want to praise the tech only. So I give 5 star for tech, 2star for company. I would shop around before simply using this company. Doubt if they have termites in Sweden.

Since being bought, its no longer the "Strand " the we used to know. Their newest thing is (TODAY) not answering or returning calls. UNACCEPTABLE.

They used to be great. Now since they were purchased, they're not so much, and furthermore, I will not use them. Bait traps are a joke, you got to do your research. If you want to do your own bait traps anyway, just buy them for $372 . Bait traps are just a reason for these companies to make continual money off of you. I'm just going to do the Taurus SC DIY option, and dig my own 6-inch trench around the foundation.

Great company until they were purchased by Anticimex. Got a bill for incomplete service demanding payment, and then continued to received collection letters and calls even after talking to the office to reschedule the service so it could be completed. Tech showed up early (while I was in an online meeting, instead of at the time I requested). Within a couple of hours I was getting a call about the bill, not the service. Manager did not care whether the job was completed correctly, but just wanted his money. Hate this happened to Strand, thought a lot of their staff but not their new management. Great way to lose a loyal customer through bad customer service.

The new company must be expected to recoup all the money they paid Strand for it. My service just went up 7% more today. No warning at all. This was for quarterly pest control. The yearly termite bond remained the same, but they took away the 5.00 early pay and the quarterly that they used to give with it. So in reality it went up 74.90 and 5.00 for a total of 84.90. Buster Dowless was a 100 times better than these rip offs are. I would hope they would loose a great percentage of customers. They only care about a dollar.But on the tech note Dennis Lloyd has been my tech for years. He is a good man, helpful and thorough. I trust him completely to be anywhere in my house. We have a great working relationship. Buster was same way. These new cracker jacks are thieves.

I 100% will not use them, nor will I recommend them to any of my clients!! I tried to ask them just a few basic questions, and they were extremely rude and of no help at all. I guess they have plenty of clients to keep them busy enough that they don’t need any new ones by the way they treat people, especially those in the industry who could help them get more business over time. There’s absolutely no reason to be rude, and I refuse to subject any of my clients to that kind of behavior if that’s how a businesses chooses to conduct themselves. I strongly recommend going elsewhere!!

Called strand pest control and made appointment for quarterly service. First service the guy was late but showed up and did the job. Service was supposed to be quarterly (every 3 months) but it took almost 4 months for my next appointment to even be set up. The second appointment the guy never showed up. I called the office twice and on the second call I just canceled my service contract. They act as if they don't even care.
