First Rate Pest Solutions

We use First Rate's preventative service, primarily for ant and mice control. They are accessible, reliable, trustworthy and very fair in pricing. They are also very personable and pleasant to deal with. Over the years, they have helped us by thoroughly inspecting our house and yard and suggesting ways we can minimize pests. As a result, we rarely have to deal with these problems today. In addition to their regular preventative service, they respond immediately to unexpected issues. When I painfully discovered a wasp nest in our backyard, Sam arrived within a day in full bee keeper gear and dealt with the the problem. He also checked our home inside and out, an example of the thoroughness with which First Rate approaches problems.

I had a great experience with First Rate. They scheduled my service quickly, were professional and thorough, and treated my home for ants. Since the service, I haven't had a single ant problem. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for prompt, effective pest control!

I'm confused by the reviews here. I spoke to Sam (the owner) early last week. He seemed ok. He quoted me. I thought the price was ok, I said im good to do the work. He said to text him my name and contact info and he'd get me on the schedule. I texted him, waited all week and no response. The next week rolled around and I texted to see if he got my messages. No response. To give him the benefit of the doubt I called. He seemed confused and said he didn't get the texts or maybe he did he didn't know. OK, fine. Said he would come this thursday (today) between 10am and 12pm but would probably be closer to 10am. He never showed up. No call, no text, no nothing. Just want to share my experience even though we never got to actually do business since he didn't show up.

Call them in an emergency or at least before impending doom; they’re knowledgeable enough to calm you down and setup a course of action immediately. Their friendly, fast, and affordable!!

I called inquiring about a strange noise in our ceiling and spoke to Sam. He suspected yellow jackets and put us on their list for the next morning. Ken showed up right as the yellow jackets broke through our ceiling and came into our living room. In less than an hour and very cleanly, Ken took care of the issue and ensured that the outside was clear of any new risks. Great customer service, prompt response in an emergency, and they definitely know their stuff. Glad we called them first and glad to be their customer.

I have used First Rate to inspect an apartment that I was going to move into. Gabriel was very thorough in checking for cracks, holes, mice and bedbugs. No bedbugs were found. However, Gabriel found MANY things that were wrong and that the owner had not done. He brought them to my attention, and THANK GOD he did. He saved me so much money and a headache. Due to his inspection. I didn’t move into this apartment and I got a full refund on my first months rent and security. Thank you first rate!!!!
