I was home inspected by another company who had confirmed bed bugs before this interaction. In the beginning had very kind and accommodating interactions. After viewing the property regarding bed bugs with my landlord i was told I had not had an issue. That the treatment plan was now in between me and the company. I was called by John who told me he does not do treatment if he personally doesn’t see signs and I need to “catch a bug” or call for a bed bug search dog. After I was still getting…

I am sorry to hear that my office staff came off as rude. I usually get raving reviews. I was not there during this conversation, but I am sure she didn't mean to sound rude. I inspected the unit with the landlord, We had the inspection report from the other company. The areas that was listed as having bed bugs stating feces spots and eggs was the first areas we inspected. The area stating feces spots was just pieces of black lent. I could not find the eggs on the couch that was written in the report. We flipped all the furniture over looking for signs of bugs with no visual evidence. The reason we mentioned a bed bug dog is because the canine is more then 90% accurate on finding bed bugs. Humans are half as accurate. I never say there are not bed bugs in a location. I always say I can not find the evidence of bed bugs. Canine inspections or your local health inspector is always an option since 2 pest control companies are disagreeing what evidence is seen. Bed bugs only feed once a week and bite up to 3 times during that feeding. Bed bug bites normally take up to a week to show on your skin after being bitten. Every person reacts different to bites from no marks to large welts. You are stating a large number of rashes and bites. There should a large number of bed bugs in your furniture to cause that amount of bites. We ethically as a company will not treat for bed bugs unless we know for sure they are present. There are other reasons you are getting rashes from allergic reactions to many things or to noseeums and other biting insects getting around screens and a/c units. I have had customers in the past that had us inspect 2 or 3 times and with us finding nothing. Those times it ended up being a medical condition. If I would of just treated, there problem would not of been resolved. Pictures sent to our phones a very difficult to blow up and just gets fuzzy making it difficult to determine if its pieces of dirt or bed bug feces. For ethical and safety reasons we will not treat until we have evidence of bed bugs. I believe the landlord said even though we do all his pest control work on his buildings you could have the other company treat your unit . Please check with your landlord first for permission as he has the authorize any company working on his property.
