We called quite a few companies (~5) requesting quotes to cut down a huge oak tree in our Royal Oak backyard. The oak tree was close to many obstacles including our garage, fence, and some power lines. Big Twigs was the only company that we felt could handle the job. They were very thorough with scheduling and arrived soon after DTE's contractor finished cutting branches away from the power lines. They had a large team to get the job done quickly and were able to climb the tree and take it down piece by piece without any damage to our garage or fence. Then, they did a great job of cleaning up our backyard. We are very happy with the end result of this work from Big Twigs and would not hesitate to recommend them to friends or use them again!

Big Twigs did an amazing job. They rolled up 1 minute after the quoted time of 8am and got to work very quickly. The whole job took about 3 hours for a very tall tree in Royal Oak that is close to a house. The guys took a lot of care to make sure nothing fell on the structure and did a very thorough clean up. Best of all, the price was very competitive compared to other companies in the area. The gentleman who owns the company is very attentive and made sure all expectations were set on how the process would play out. I would highly recommend .

Hiring Jon and the Big Twigs crew was hands down the right decision for tree service at our Royal Oak home. They are professional, very knowledgeable and work with integrity, ensuring it's the proper time of year/temperature before agreeing to prune certain tree species. We had Steve's crew who were awesome; super friendly, helpful and the trimming turned out great, making our yard much cleaner and safe (removed large oak tree branches over our roof and overgrown trees at our back fence line). Jon and Steve's crew at Big Twigs will now be my go-to tree service and I highly recommend them! Also, they have some pretty cool equipment; here are photos of their spider lift and ditch witch. I am very pleased with the efficiency of the workers and the respect they showed the overhead cables and other plants surrounding the trees they removed.

I called several tree removal companies that told me they could remove my tree 3 weeks or more down the road. Then I found Big Twigs. Estimator was professional, friendly, courteous and on time. Said they could get to removing my tree within a couple weeks and had a great price! Then, they called to schedule my removal and set me up for an appointment the following week! Crew came out and removed the tree within a few hours. They were respectful of our property, even set up "bumpers" between our house and garage so there would be no damage from their equipment. Crew cleaned up any and all debris and had stump removal done next work day! I can't recommend these guys enough! We will definitely be using them for all of our tree trimming needs in the future!

After calling them, they promptly sent out a courteous estimator. Price and timing wete competitive from others I called. After accepting, they got out fast with all their climbers and equipment and took tree down within a couple hours. Amazing to watch! They completely cleaned up. A couple days later they sent out a stump grinder. Job done! This is easily the most profession and efficient tree service I've ever used. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give them a 20! No words can describe my gratitude for the job they did, start to finish. WOW! Thank you!

We had a very tall pine tree cut down recently. We hired Big Twig for the second time in two years. They are top notch. The price is competitive. Big Twig was professional and experienced. They job was done quickly and perfectly. Not one flower or bush was touched. They cleaned every up including sweeping the street. I would hire them again in a minute!

Big Twigs made the entire tree trimming process easy. They arrived on time for their scheduled estimate, and they also arrived on time on my service date. They trimmed the low hanging branches on my tree, and they even trimmed some neighboring trees and shrubs that weren't in the original proposal for no additional cost. They were here and gone within an hour, and they cleaned up all of the fallen branches and shrubs before they left. I would highly recommend Big Twigs for your tree trimming or removal needs.

We are return customers and want to express how professional the Big Twigs crew were both times. Two years ago Big Twigs removed a sizeable Silver Maple close to our house. This year we took some estimates for more trees and Big Twigs pricing was right in the middle of the other companies. Having worked with them before we hoped their work was of the high quality it was on the first job. They removed 3 pines that needed to come down and cleaned up the area as expected. We also needed them to trim a large maple which is surrounded with some extensive landscaping. The crew took extra care to trim the tree without disturbing any of the landscaping. We highly recommend the Big Twigs team.

This company is amazing! They came on time and trimmed back our pine trees. Our yard looks better than I expected. They are very knowledgable and do a great job. Regret we didn't have this job done even sooner!

From the start the experience was great! Jon got back to us right away and came over to give us a quote. When we decided we maybe wanted another tree taken down Jon came out the next morning so there wouldn’t be a delay. The day of the job the crew did great work! Cannot say enough about the quality of work and professionalism of BIG TWIGS. I called owner Jon last year for an estimate. He explained to me that, because it was the end of February and due to his current schedule, it would be too late that season to trim my tree. He explained that they should only be trimmed in the winter when the tree is dormant to avoid insects and disease. I was impressed because he could have just taken my money and done the job, but he knew what was correct and best for the tree. I called him this year to trim my large pin oak and clear multiple other trees and large scrubs from my very overgrown back yard. Jon told me he would call the Sunday before my appointment to confirm the time that his team would arrive and how long they would be there. True to his word, the crew arrived on time! Larry, the crew chief, introduced himself and reviewed with me exactly what needed to be done. The seven man crew went straight to work and were finished 20 minutes ahead of time. They even laid down boards so that the heavy equipment would not damage my lawn. The tree surgeon should really be called a tree artist. I live in a neighborhood where the houses are close together and the large tree that was being trimmed was right on the property line and close to the houses. He tied off the large limbs to be removed so expertly that when they were cut, they dropped straight down between the homes, no swinging! It was amazing to watch him. Like I said, an artist. The rest of the crew were so polite and courteous. They moved a large cement dog for me so that it would not be damaged. In one of the trees that was being taken down I had a small wind chime that had been there for so long that the bark had grown around the hanger and I could not get it lose. I thought that it would just go with the tree. At the end of the job, one of the workers handed it to me, completely intact and good as new. Amazing what care they take. At the end of the job, they swept everything up from both my and my neighbor’s yards, put everything moved back in its place, used a blower to clean the driveway and even went on the roof to blow off any twigs that had fallen. SO IMPRESSED! Before leaving, Larry reviewed the work with me, asked if I was happy with the look of the trimmed oak and asked if I had any questions. I would highly recommend Jon and his BIG TWIGS crew for any tree work Very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Being on time is also a tremendous bonus. Thank you for a job well done!

We have used Big Twigs Tree Service on numerous occasions and each time I have been more than happy. My most recent experience was in August 2019 when we experienced very high winds that blew down several of my old trees. A few landed in my neighbors yard and across both of our driveways. I called Jon at Big Twigs and within 2 hours he arrived at my house to access the damage. My neighbors asked me if I was going to call around for pricing and my response was, "No". I trust them and I know that they will do a fantastic job at a reasonable rate. Once again I was impressed at their professionalism and excellent work ethics.

From the start to finish AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME !! We were impressed within the first few minutes upon meeting Jonathan for the job appraisal. He arrived at the exact time he said he would and was very professional and made us feel very comfortable from the beginning and on top of all that he had the most reasonable prices. We were totally impressed and hired him on the spot. The day of the job they arrived on time and what a great crew he has as well. All together they removed 4 trees without hitch and cleaned up everything as well. This job could not have gone any smoother or better. An overall great experience. Big Twigs took down a large maple tree in our backyard in June 2019. The pricing and the efficiency of the work were totally fine. They moved very fast and had a ton of guys in their crew. Our only gripe was the damage to the grass that was left behind and some of the carelessness of the crew - like making no effort to avoid carrying large branches through our shrubs. When Big Twigs came over to provide a quote, they never explained that there could be damage to your lawn or shrubs. In fact, they told us they would put down wooden planks to protect the grass which I thought at the time was a selling point that put them over the top. When I called about the damage, the person I spoke to acted like the damage should have been completely expected and it's just part of the job. If Big Twigs would have been more forthcoming about the possibility of damage, then this would not have a left a bad taste in our mouth. They offered me $50 off the total price, but I passed just based on the guy's attitude that he clearly thought I was being ridiculous. I am not saying you shouldn't hire Big Twigs, but I would definitely shop around.

Excellent service from Big Twigs Tree Service. Jon explained the process thoroughly, both he and his crew arrived on time. His crew was very courteous and did an amazing job taking down two trees, grinding the stumps and also vertically trimming limbs from the trees next door - and did so where the trees look great. They cleaned up the area and they worked quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.
