Joseph fixed our woodpecker damage and set up a prevention system to deter future woodpeckers. We also signed up for the monthly bug extermination service. Joseph was extremely thoughtful, knowledgeable, and courteous throughout the whole process!

Great service all the way around. A bit pricier than I think it should be.

I have dealt with many companies specializing in rodent and insect control, but my experiences with them were unsatisfactory. However, when I engaged this particular company, I found them to be truly excellent and highly punctual. They demonstrated a deep understanding of how to effectively eliminate these pests. Eric, in particular, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable regarding rodent control; in fact—as a squirrel had actually made its way inside—he knew exactly how to handle the situation and successfully removed it from the house.
Provider response
Thanks Iman!!!!

I wanted to share our experience with Ethan's visit to our house last week. He came over to provide an estimate for his services, and we were thoroughly impressed. Not only did he answer all our questions in detail, but we also learned so much about Michigan "critters" that we previously had no idea about. His knowledge and professionalism convinced us on the spot, and we immediately signed up for Community Pest Solutions!
Provider response
Thanks John!!!
Joshua Sager
We had been hearing scratching in our ceiling for a couple weeks. Called community pest solutions and scheduled an appointment. Ethan and his co-worker came out to the house on a Friday afternoon and immediately located a raccoon in our attic. Then, he went outside and located the entry point very quickly. After that, we were given a proposal/plan. It was all extremely efficient and smooth and Ethan was fantastic. Super friendly, very personable, helpful & explained everything, and he was extremely efficient. His coworker was excellent as well. Both super nice and great to work with. I would absolutely recommend this company and Ethan especially. Great experience thus far.
Provider response
Thanks Joshua!!!

Reached out to sign up for services and they will not service the Belleville area even though they service Ypsilanti and Canton. We are right between those two areas directly off the freeway. I found this company on Google and liked that they are family owned. What a shame a community you pass through to serve other areas you aren’t open to expanding to.
Provider response
Hi Tom!<br><br>We understand you’re feeling disappointed because we have a defined service area. It’s okay to feel frustrated when things don’t work out the way we hope, and we really appreciate you sharing how you feel with us.<br><br>We want you to know that your feelings matter. While we don’t have the ability to service every area every person thinks we should, we are always thinking about ways to grow and reach more wonderful people.<br><br>Would you like us to let you know if we’re able to expand to your area in the future?<br><br>Thank you for giving us a chance and for being so open with your opinion!

Community Pest Solutions was very quick to respond, kind, and flexible. Kyle, my technician, was very polite and straightforward. I would give 5 stars, except he just left and I can’t quite see results yet!
Provider response
Thanks Heidi!!! Your tech will check in to make sure you have a 5 STAR experience!
Chris McDonald
I previously wrote Community Pest Solutions a five star review, but unfortunately the customer service doesn't seem to be what it was previously. The first two years Community Pest Solutions was at our house, they were able to help identify and resolve a longstanding issue with paper wasps. The third year they were out, we had a carpenter bee issue that was not properly identified. When I reached out to them later in the summer to see if they could come back out and spray, I was told that carpenter bees weren't included in the package I had bought and was told that they would not honor the 90 day guarantee. This left us pretty disappointed and frankly not wanting to continue to give them our business and support.
Provider response
Hi Chris!<br><br>We appreciate your past business!<br><br>It looks like this update comes 19 months after the last time we provided service for you. <br><br>As you mentioned, you previously said: "Hello, we've been dealing with paper wasps for years now and last year community pest solutions was the first team that actually helped eliminate them. I'm hoping someone could come out again soon to give our house a spray? Thank you!"<br><br>This is the level of service we strive to provide for all of our clients. <br><br>As requested, we provided the same wasp service you were very satisfied with in 2022 in 2023 and again in May 2024. We much later received a call from you about a carpenter bee problem in July 2024. Wasps and carpenter bees require very different treatments. Our written agreement with you clearly excludes carpenter bee coverage to avoid this confusion. As discussed in July, we couldn’t extend coverage for a pest that wasn’t an issue in May and wasn’t the target pest we had been treating for previously. <br><br>The issue wasn’t misidentified, we treated as usual and the carpenter bee issue arose months later. <br><br>We would be happy to take another look at any current issues and provide the appropriate treatments at the appropriate frequencies to solve any current pest issues you’re having!<br>
Phyllis Rector
Very nice young man. Hopefully the treatment works.

Thanks Phyllis!!!!
William Bacon
Great to talk to on the phone, willing to identify the insect by dropping off. However, charges $195 for initial assessment , I found Terminix which has free inspection. Just for showing up charging 195…
Provider response
Hi William!<br><br>Thanks for reaching out and for the opportunity to explain our inspection fee policy. We just checked our numbers and 97% of our inspections are done for free. We have found a few instances where clients are less likely to use our services after inspection so we charge a $195 fee for these. These include inspections where the inspection itself solves the problem (fly issues), landlords with pest issues at rental homes (we waive this fee for established clients), bed bug inspections (9 out of 10 bed bug concerns aren’t actually bedbugs thankfully), cockroaches, rats and termites. Clients often send in photos of their pest or drop off a pest sample which can help avoid an inspection fee. We don’t just show up, we provide thorough, expert inspections, recommendations and written proposals. <br><br>Thanks again!
