If you see this truck pull into your neighbors driveway- be prepared to see dead squirrels, bunnies, birds- everything If you have dogs/cats/or small children be careful. This company services my neighbor - two years ago my foster dog ate a mouse found in the woods and had to be rushed to emergency room. I called them, Emailed, zero follow up- do everything in your Power to talk your neighbor out of using bait boxes and switch to snap traps. It will ruin your yard.

Simply the best pest control on Martha’s Vineyard. Great tic control program done by professionals. Why would anyone go? Any place else Just call the buzzards Bay office and they’ll steer you right?

Edit: They responded via email and apologized for the miscommunication Initial experience was good, even with the higher amount for account setup. The contract we signed with them was for quarterly spraying of the foundation and installing glue traps inside. The second treatment was on Dec 7th and they just did glue traps. I followed up asking why the foundation was not sprayed and their response was that it was too cold to spray the foundation. So essentially we just paid $130 for glue traps. I think its deceptive to say you are going to do something quarterly but then only do it (and save money for yourself) when you claim it is too cold out. Will not be using them any longer for pest protection

In our experience with Griggs & Browne remediating carpenter ants (and subsequently doing preventative spraying), Griggs & Browne failed, it would seem this was not for the first time (at the same home). The sales-inspector who scoped the work spent time cross-selling us termite service at that visit. For the termite prevention, we ultimately were treated OK, though only after writing about it in an earlier version of this review. For the carpenter ants, Griggs missed a third hot spot (only remediating the 2 areas where we had seen swarms, even though there were other signs of activity elsewhere including on the opposite side of the house from the 2 areas). The Griggs salesperson-inspector projected nothing but assuredness and was careful about what he discussed and didn't discuss. He wasn't able to explain why carpenter ants seen elsewhere, but he seemed profoundly not bothered by this, so I didn't worry either as he very much looks the part and carries the years of someone who knows what they are doing. The salesman made such a strong impression, it's hard to hold anything against him even after the bad experience we've had, but for the following: He must have observed the home had previously been treated for carpenter ants, a fact he did not mention to us. That earlier work, I would be told later by a Griggs rep, looked like the work of Griggs. If Griggs indeed did the work (and yet ants still around the corner at the house), that would explain why this wasn't brought to my attention as it wouldn't have helped the sale. So apparently, not only did Griggs not resolve the problem for us despite remediation and us paying for the ongoing prevention package, but Griggs it would seem also had a pretty similar outcome in its earlier attempt. If you go with Griggs, there is no single person who really fully just cares and is in control of you having a good outcome. The sales-inspector is good at sales, but he didn't get a good outcome and there were things he ought to have told me that he did not (both in deciding whether to use them, and understanding what the services we were being signed up for and what they entailed and covered and didn't cover - specifically that no damages were covered by the ongoing carpenter ant program after a remediation).

Griggs & Browne have been providing rodent and pest control inspections/baiting at our Martha's Vineyard home for at least the past 10 years. Derek A. is very professional and personable and also responsive to our needs. The baiting plan is very effective in controlling mice!

If you want to support a locally owned family business, look no further. Griggs and Browne are an exceptional group of professionals that will make sure you and your home are well cared for. We recently purchased a home and found out during renovations that it was infested with fleas. Never having dealt with pests (nevermind one of the hardest to get rid of), we were frustrated at the extermination process and embarrassed at the situation and at times, took it out on G&B. Every tech, the ladies in the mngmt office, the district managers, every single person at G&B understood our frustration and tried their best to get us to understand the facts about the flea lifecycle and what we could do to help them help us (such as vacuum daily). There was even a time where we told G&B we were hiring a different “big name” company because we were still seeing fleas and were at our wits end. Even then, G&B was so professional and wished us well. We quickly realized we were making a mistake and they welcomed us back with open arms. We are happy to say it’s been a full week of zero flea sitings and are hopeful they are gone for good. Thank you Sue, Caleb, Mike, Coady, and everyone at G&B for giving us such grace during a very exhausting process!

Mike our technician is knowledgeable friendly and takes his time explaining what is going on and how he will take care of it. He is the reason we use this service.

i am glad to see Mike B is back in my area. Even though it wasn't a day he was scheduled for a visit. He stopped and answered a question i had about my pest concerns. Hope he feels better soon. Griggs and Brown came to our home that we recently purchased,that sits on the edge of an abandoned cranberry bog. Our house was overrun with insects and had many rodents. Within a matter of days we noticed immediate results. It has been 3 months now and we have had absolutely no issues whatsoever! We would very much recommend griggs and Brown again.

The first time I called them they were here the next day, surveyed our issue, and didn't offer us any unwarranted services. This time around, during the time of the Apocalypse, I've tried to get in touch but haven't heard back, so I'm not sure if things have changed for them. I sure hope not, they were great to do business with and I recommended them to anyone who needed bug stuff here in Buzzards Bay. Hope they're okay. 😳

This is hands down the best company to hire for pest problems. This is true because of the people who stand behind the service. You'll get a professional, effective technician at a reasonable cost. Sure, some other companies may be a little cheaper, BUT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! 😁

The technician was thorough, knowledgeable, as well as environmentally conscientious, I was extremely impressed.

Called the Buzzards Bay office to set-up an appointment for inspection and they had someone able to come over that afternoon. Inspector was thorough, explained what was going on and answered all my questions. First treatment was arranged for the next morning and will have quarterly visits throughout the year to keep things under control at an affordable rate.

We would like to thank you for your assistance in fixing our problem with ants. You are fortunate to have 2 very responsible employees that represent you. Gerry May met with me and I was extremely impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. Sorry to say I forgot the name of your employee who came out to do the job but I was impressed with him also.
