My experience with this company has been extremely disappointing from start to finish. The level of inconsistency and lack of communication has made it impossible to trust their service. Misleading technician information: The company sends an email with a photo of the technician who is supposed to arrive, yet the person who showed up was not the same individual. This immediately raised concerns about professionalism and transparency. And he broke the door to my attic. Outdated and inaccurate reporting: The technician failed to update my account properly and continued sending outdated reports. One report claimed that vegetation around my home was overgrown, even though it had been professionally cut down over a year ago. For the past two weeks, I’ve been given nothing but empty promises with no corrected report or real follow‑up. Termite inspection confusion: I requested a termite inspection for my home appraisal and spent nearly a month calling and waiting. Only then did a supervisor inform me that they couldn’t provide the report because I supposedly didn’t request the “correct type” of inspection. At no point during scheduling was I told there were multiple types or that I needed a separate termite account, another appointment, and an additional fee. This lack of clarity cost me valuable time in my appraisal process. Billing issues despite autopay: My account is on autopay, and they withdrew a payment on December 26th. Yet somehow I was suddenly told I owed an additional $99, even though my regular bill is only $53.50. The math doesn’t add up, and no one could give me a clear explanation. All of these issues have delayed important steps in my home process and created unnecessary stress. The inconsistency, lack of accountability, and poor communication were the final straw. I have since terminated my service and cannot recommend this company based on my experience.

Kyle gave me a courtesy call saying he was running early on his calls and asked if he could stop sooner. Always like early vs late. He was here and asking questions about our concerns. He immediately went to work tackling our issue and provided feedback for our next follow up. Very professional! Never got this from the other company i had to let go for missing 3 visits in a row.

I would appreciate the agent arriving at my home at the designated time and not showing up 1 to 3 hours early. The next time the agent arrives more than 1 to 3 hours early, I will not answer the door, and he will be forced to wait or schedule another appointment. This will be my practice going forward, and I don't wish to be awaken from my sleep with a phone call if he is 30 to a hour early for the phone. I am only allowing no more than 10 minutes early arrival time. He must wait if he is early and not disturb my household. We are handicap individuals and we refuse to scramble and hurry to come down the steps because he has chosen to be more than an hour early knocking at my door. It needs to stop at once!! Thanks

I had an issue with flies in my basement. I contacted Orkin. A sales rep came out inspected the attic and crawl space and proceeded to try to sell me an encapsulation for my crawl space. I told him maybe later, but right now I just need pest control to eradicate these flies. A tech from Orkin came out the next day, which I do give them credit for that; however, he seemed to be unaware of the type of insect that I was dealing with and he proceeded to squirt some stuff in all corners of my basement. When I told him it was a fly issue, he said, “oh, that requires an aerosol spray and you would need to find the source. So I’m like ok, treat the basement with the aerosol spray and at least help me try to locate the source. Well then he squirted something on the window sills and then went outside. A few days later, I’m still dealing with flies, so I bought every fly trap I could think of, sprayed all kinds of stuff in my basement, to try to eradicate the issue. Went on vacation, came back, most of the flies were on the traps that I set. But there still remained gnats. So I contacted Orkin again, especially after I received an email stating they were auto charging my acct for Sept which they hadn’t even done yet. I told them I was disappointed with the service because I pretty much had to eradicate the flies myself. Ok, so then I call my brother, he opened the fireplace and it seemed that is where the issue was; however, we could not find any decaying matter, but we noticed the flies were getting in through a chimney vent. So we sealed that off along with other vents. A few days later, I end up with maggots. I call Orkin again and the rep tells me they don’t deal with maggots, and she would have to have someone from the area office to contact me. So again, I’ve been eradicating my own issue and trying to figure out why I’m paying for their service when clearly I seemed to resolving my own issues. Been waiting all day for a rep from my area office to call me, but no one has as of yet. I’m already on the schedule for a Sept treatment; however that’s not until next week, by then I would probably have again, eradicated the issue myself. Really dissatisfied and disappointed. Good thing God reminded me that he did not give me spirit of fear because initially I was freaking out, but then got my courage to deal with the issues. So again, I’m using all kinds of pesticides, vacuuming regularly and pretty much cleaned/cleared out my entire basement to resolve this issue. Wish I had known that Orkin only deals with certain types of insects, I would’ve called another company that knows how to deal with my issue.

Called for hornets nest removal and the lady insisted on selling a service plan even after i advised I only needed 1 time service for my concern. Seems hard pressed to sell than providing service.

I’m honestly extremely disappointed at the service that I paid for. I have a yellow jacket nest in my siding. When I called the service line I was told that I’d get an experienced expert in a bee suit who would treat the affected area until the problem was dealt with. For I think a bit over $330, I got a guy with three half empty aeresol bottles of raid, some DHT powder, and a few likely made up stories meant to assure me that he was an expert in his craft. We spent more time signing the paperwork than he spent on the yellow jacket nest. Had the service advisor been honest about what it is you all do I could’ve ordered my own raid and DHT. To top things off there are still tons of yellow jackets buzzing in and out of that nest and I’m still in the same spot I started off in.

On two occasions I have confirmed my appointment time windows with Orkin, for which they assured me someone would be at my home ON TIME. I carved time out my schedule and no one showed up. The first time the technician didn’t have my home on his schedule. The second time the technician didn’t see my home on his schedule. Not to mention the termites are worse this year than after I was treated for them last year. The only time I got good service was before they got my money.

I'm being avoided for like the 3rd year in a row. I paid for a 10yr service cash and now this. Never received a voice or email for an annual inspection. Idk, maybe your competitors are more interested in my business which is fine with me.
I've only had a contract with Orkin since September, but they're already off to a rocky start. They were supposed to come back out 30 days after the initial consultation and nothing, called and was told no one came out because the technician for my area was on vacation. Not my problem.... fulfill the contract agreement. You had no problem charging my card? Disappointed to say the least.

This service is a waste of money. My technician showed up when he wanted. He never bothered to come inside the fence or even service the garage. I had no idea this was happening until I installed cameras. This man literally pulled up walked around for 5 minutes (no service done) and left. Then he would send a bill. It's horrible how they took advantage of me. I take solace in knowing they do this to lots of people and it's only a matter of time before they go out of business.

Orkin agent (Waldorf office) showed up at my house unscheduled. He did not call until he was on my front doorstep. Then he proceeded to service the outside. It occurred to me that this has been done in the past. There was no appointments were made and the representative would randomly show up. This way he can claim that he is trying to provide a service which there was never appointment made. I have filed several complaints but they want to keep the business but not do the work. I will continue to complain to Orkin in the corporate office as well as other agencies until I am no longer a customer.

My very first appointment my technician called me literally 5 minutes before my “arrival window” expired and said they were en route about 30 minutes away. About 45 min later they call to say it’s an accident about 5 min away from my home so they are hoping to arrive in the next 30 minutes. In short they finally came but I was turned off by them being apologetic but very nonchalant and not having on gloves and their face mask not fully covering their face. So fast forward I need service 1 month later and the same technician calls me this time at my arrival window expiration and says I have 2 homes to treat before yours and then I’ll be there hopefully in 1 hour. I didn’t even entertain it. I called the office and canceled my services with them!!! Weather the person who schedules appointments is sloppy and not properly booking customers or the technician is goofing around not managing their time properly- it’s unacceptable! What type of business that’s supposed to be professional operates like this? Customer service is poor, workers are unprofessional and I would NOT recommend this location.

The scheduling of appointments is not customer-focused. When we initially signed up for the service, we requested Friday appointments because someone is always home. This would allow the the technician to treat the outside, as well as the inside. Without our knowledge, Orkin changed our appointment to a day that was convenient for the technician. Then, when we called for an ad hoc appointment to treat the inside, the technician changed the appointment to suit his schedule and rushed through the visit without checking/treating the whole house This delayed our other appointments and was a huge inconvenience for our schedule. We will see how our next service date goes.
