Mainely Grass is a Great Company. Its an example of the saying "Be The Best in The World," --"Its the only market that is not crowded." My lawn looks better than ever before, I realize its a work of art in progress that takes time. That said is there is a problem due to high temps, drought, or rain, Mainely Grass always gets right on it and does whatever is necessary to make it right. They go out of their way . . . Our first year, New home & lawn, and Mainely Grass has done an excellent job. Zero complaints. Better coverage, more timely, and well worth the money with no extra or shy chemicals/ie fertilizers, lime and weed killers and no extra equipment(spreaders) to store. Looks better with no stripes.

Chris, our Lawn Service Technician was prompt, courteous and very knowledgable about all types of lawn conditions. We walked the property beforehand and he suggested specific remedies to resolve each situation. We then laid out a game plan of service applications to counter each of the unique issues such as grub control, weeds, sunny and shady areas and newly seeded areas so that specific treatments of the lawn would be addressed, and improving with each application going forward. Looking forward to seeing the improvements into next growing season.

Truly disrespectful of a neighborhood and time of day. At 7am literally sitting on a large obnoxious machine mowing under my bedroom window. Several neighbors truly upset about being woken up. Its one thing to have a job to do but another when it disrupts an entire block.

Hi Tracey, sorry to hear about the disturbance. To clarify, Mainely Grass doesn’t provide mowing services. Our services are limited to applications like fertilization and pest control, and these are always done during the hours allowed by local noise ordinances. Thank you for bringing this to our attention — we’ll make sure your feedback is reviewed.
I have had the services of 2 other companies. There is no comparison to the services of Mainely Grass. They do a complete job, very good coverage and attention to detail. I have a fresh water spring/brook about 25 feet into my backyard woods. I have deer that carry ticks. Mainly Grass is attentive to that perimeter area as it generates mosquitoes and ticks. And they bother to ask me if I’m satisfied ! Imagine. So, do I recommend them? Absolutely.

Last summer (2023) I had called to cancel my membership and did not have any additional services. A couple of weeks ago my lawn was sprayed and I was charged for the service without ever requesting reactivation of my membership. I called and Ashley verified that yes, she could see notes documenting that I had requested cancellation and that I would be refunded. No refund was ever initiated so I called back again today and was told that any future appointments were canceled but that I was not going to receive a refund for services that I never requested or gave authorization for.

After carefully and thoroughly reviewing our communication records and as discussed over our phone call, we were unable to find the instance you described and believe there may have been a misunderstanding during your conversation. We did confirm you had opted to skip your last application of last season, however, skipping that application would not have canceled your account. We strive to maintain clear communication that your services continue from season to season, unless canceled, in reminders throughout all our after-service emails, renewal notifications, off-season calls, emails and texts, and pre-season notifications. Given these repeated efforts to make you aware of your renewing services prior to your first visit, we will not be issuing a refund for the services that our technician performed. We appreciate your understanding.
They sprayed our garden plants and killed all of our bees and butterflys. We worked very hard top attract them and they killed them by spraying them with tick and mosquito spray. Why would they do something so irresponsible????

I am not happy with the response for my Lyman ME property. I am next to a lake and I understand you cannot spray with in 30 feet of the lake, but weeds are thriving 75 and 110 feet from the lake. I have repeatedly called the company or sent emails, this is now August they should be dead by now. Its not like its hard to see them, they are very green.

Schedule through the regional manager an oversees and aeration to be done. Two weeks later no schedule time and original grief from customer service saying “ we only perform aeration and overseeing in fall “ Well you manager said I needed it do to damage and compaction. So what do I get ....A hard time , no schedule date on callback, left in chat room for over three minutes with no reply in middle of a chat. You people are actually terrible at service and I have been with your services for about 10 years. Bye bye.....

I had a pretty poor experience with Mainely Grass. They showed up on a day’s notice to spread “pre-emergent” on my lawn that is already majority dead weeds. I was planning on throwing some seed down (there was already some down when they spread it), but now I have to wait two months. This was allegedly a “free” appointment. When I expressed my displeasure with the appointment, I was charged 50 dollars. I had a customer service rep sympathize with me and say that I could buy loam and be fine. Something about getting (and paying for) an unwanted appointment and then paying even more money to undo what they did doesn’t sit well with me at all. I still don’t know if I’m officially “unsubscribed” from their services because I’m going on two weeks without an email response. To be completely honest, I don’t ever remember signing up for 2020 services at all.
Tried to get my lawn sprayed, but found this company has major communication issues. We had a hard time getting ahold of them to find out when they would show up, and then came in without giving us notice. Maybe they were having a bad month, but I'm concerned about my dog who I then unknowingly exposed to freshly sprayed chemicals. Communication is too important to me when dealing with contracts and I had to cancel my service.
