It would be difficult to explain the variety of problems we had with GreenScene, but if we can save even one person from the same experience, then the time I’m taking to write the review will be worth it. Just a few things to expect…. 1. When you sign a contract with them, you’ll need to call them to come service your lawn…it won’t be automatic. 2. Your lawn will continue to have weeds and the applicator that treats your yard, won’t be able to discuss it with you because they lack the knowledge. They lack the knowledge to explain it or fix it. 3. If/when they mistakenly overcharge you and you over-pay, you’ll call to discuss it, and a woman named Katie will tell you that you are wrong before you can even explain the situation. She will NOT have a conversation with you, you will not understand her level of rudeness, and you will think you’re on a Saturday Night Live skit. 4. After emailing them a dozen times and providing them with paperwork, bank statements and proper documentation, they will continue to tell you that you’re wrong and that there will be no refund. 5. When, and only when, you tell them that they are leaving you no choice but to get an attorney involved, they’ll tell their corporate office that you’ve demanded a refund and threatened them with a lawsuit. At that point, they’ll send you a refund and cancel your account. You will get no apology for a situation they created that was so unnecessary, and then you’ll try and help others avoid this very strange situation for the rest of time. Please be warned.
Awesome service
Used this business for nearly 20 years, and had previously posted a positive review. Recently fired them after their customer service went down hill. I will never use them again.
Been using this service for my front lawn and back yard for 3 years. Pay about $45 a month sometimes more. They come out like clockwork, no problems, satisfied.

I would like to preface we have used this company the last 4 years and referred to many other people because we have had nothing but great results. Shout out to Michael in operations for taking great care of us in 2022 when we moved to a new house with many lawn issues! This year has been a different story. To start off, it’s getting our treatments done on time ( specifically the mosquito treatment). As listed on their invoices, this should be done every 30 days and I had to call 42 days after the last treatment to get someone out here. The response I got was “ ok we will let them know you are ready for another treatment”. This is strange because it’s always been every 30 days in the past and I’ve never had to call. We also did a grub treatment summer 2022 and did not sign up for than annually ( we are not under a contract) and they came out and did it without permission this year. I kindly asked to take off the charge from a principal standpoint, the man I spoke to was incredibly rude about it and refunded me. Note- I even spoke to the front desk late spring to go over what services were listed this year and grubs were not mentioned. The technician explained on the paperwork why the grub treatment is necessary which I appreciated. I then come across this inappropriate and rude comment on the invoice to charge us double if we ask for grub treatment in 2024 ( I’m assuming it was the man that I spoke to on the phone for the refund). Unfortunately, due to poor customer service from particular individuals and frankly that comment rubbing us the wrong way as loyal customers— we will be canceling their lawn service 2024 season.
If I could give this company a zero I would! I wasted an absorbent amount of money on their worthless lawn care service last year. I cancelled their service and they had the audacity to come out again this year and charge my credit card without my permission. I spoke to a lady at the 847 area code number I told her I canceled their services last year and started with a new company and they had no right to come out on their own accord and treat my yard and charge my credit card. I told her I wanted my money back ASAP. The lady told me I was "god d*mn rude" and hung up on me. When I called back I was sent to voicemail. I have continued calling repeatedly throughout the day on both numbers and left voice mails to no avail. I even left a email message on their site no one is returning my calls or emails. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY! Update: Its been over a month and I still haven’t got a call back or email to address my concerns about my money being debited from my credit card without my permission.
We called last year to cancel our lawn services, because we did not see an improvement after using the company for 3 years. But the company showed up this year and did an application, and when we called to clarify, male employee said they don’t have any records and hanged up. So, we called back again for 2 times, got a lady employee on the phone, she hanged up on us again without letting us talk and trying to clarify the issue. You don’t have records of us cancelling your poor quality service, maybe because your company is not responsible, unprofessional , rude and ignorant to the customer. You don’t have any records, bc you hang up on your customer without finding a solution. Not only this company has poor quality product, they are also have poor quality of customer service. There is always a solution to a problem and nobody should be talking to anyone with such disrespect. Big NO to this company services.
I hired this lawn care company in 2017 and paid a seasonal fee, not signing a contract. The following year, I decided to go with another lawn treatment company. In early spring 2018, without a request for service or a contract, Green Scene returned to apply treatment over my lawn which had already been serviced. I called and spoke with Alex to get this billing resolved. He was extremely rude and unhelpful. I later received a bill in the mail from what I believed to be the corporate office. I called and explained the situation to them. I assumed it was resolved, as I didn't hear back. Now, five years later, I am being contacted by a debt collection company for services that we didn't request and that could have completely killed our lawn. As noted by other reviews, it appears that I'm not alone in this mans unprofessional nature and deceptive business practices.
Beware, this company tried to rip my father off. They sent someone out for a treatment he did not order and even when he told this person he did not oder the service, they still charged him. When he called to resolve the matter the lady he spoke with was extremely rude and hung up on him. Not only did they refuse to resolve the issue, they they sent him to collections. Shady business practices, terrible customer service. Stay away from these people.
Taylor, the operator I worked with, was great. Absolutely knew his stuff and helped me understand what I needed to do to maintain my lawn. I really enjoyed his professionalism and suggestions.
I’ve used these guys for years, and have been very happy with their work. Great value as I find them ~20-30% less than the other “big names”, and just as good service/quality if not better. Would recommend!
After years of decent service, this year our lawn is ruined. They just quit showing up, no notice, no return calls. Adios muchacho.
I received a promotion from them in the mail. I asked a question in the chat box that pops up on their site and received an auto response that they would back to me shortly. Late the next day I responded to the reply that I had not heard anything from them yet. That was 5 days ago. Still waiting. I'm moving on!

The yard is looking amazing after first year and Tom S is great always professional and makes sure my fur babies are done before applying the treatment. Even helped answer questions about improving my grass and it worked like a charm.
Over fertilized in some areas and killed the grass. Did not apologize or offer to reimburse. I Spent a lot of time raking up the thatch. Messed up the neighbor's yard as well.
Absolute awful service from Alex. No customer service skills at all and should not be working there, or anywhere!
I had my lawn treated in the rain, I waited to see if it killed my creeping Charlie before I needed a reapplication. It said on my bill that it would be reapplied at no charge because of the rain. Then I had an emergency & had to leave the country. I’m back & the treatment did nothing. It has been 8 weeks granted, but the creeping Charlie is worse so it didn’t work. I called & a very rude woman answered. She said I have to pay for it as it’s been too long. She ended up putting the phone down on me. I’m shocked at the way she spoke to me. I’m not wanting anything free, I will pay for what works but the application clearly did nothing. UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE!!!! THIS HAS BEEN TAKEN CARE OF UPTO MY EXPECTATIONS ! Still was a rude customer service person.
I called Green Scene after viewing their website and seeing their offer for a first application at 39.95 and a free aeration for a regular service. I ordered the weed control at 39.95 and an additional regular service for flea, tick, etc. treatment. The guy showed up without a call ahead and left when I was unable to get to the door so had to reschedule. Upon his return he threw around very foul language about the painters playing loud music across the street (note I was running daycare with 6 toddlers). I was over billed and instantly called to get a revised invoice in which I received an invoice for 52.43. I called with my CC to pay on 10.9.20. I then had the guy show up for a second treatment without a call ahead and billed for a full treatment even though there was no way for him to access 3/4 of my yard through a locked gate. Green Scene did credit me for this and followed up with an unpaid invoice of 142.36. Bottom line they did not apply a credit as promised, they did not process my payment, and then invoiced me almost 3x the amount I was to originally pay....I informed them I have printed invoices in my hand to back this and was advised rudely if I did not pay the 142.36 I would be sent to collections. Well I not so nicely gave my CC number again and have yet to receive confirmation of this payment. I also advised her I’d be placing a negative review and she retaliated with threatening to send a negative review about me on my employers jobs site (which I refused to provider her because it’s not her business to know where I work and my employer has nothing to do with this) This company is unprofessional and unorganized.... I definitely will not recommend or use them again

I hired this lawn care company in 2018 and they provided two lawn treatments. When I signed up with this company I was told that they provide organic lawn treatments. It was not until I talked with the tech during the second treatment that I was told the product being used was not organic. I called and cancelled my service with Green Scene. Even after I cancelled my service in 2018, this company returned in 4/2019 and did an Early Spring service and applied Feed & Crabgrass control over my lawn which had been recently over-seeded. I have talked several times by phone with a very rude and condescending person (Alex) and have not been able to get this bill issue resolved. Not sure if this man's rudeness is his normal way of communication or if it is because I am an African American female. Either way I am appalled by this company's rude customer service and deceptive practice. I will be filing a complaint with BBB as well.

We applied our 1st treatment in 2019 after providing 2 treatments in 2018. We are very sorry we applied as we did not have record of cancellation after we mailed our renewal letter. Due to the miscommunication we wrote off the charge. For over 25 years we strive to provide professional services, and a broad range of services including organic treatments. Went through Angie's List to get a quote for Lawn Care Service on Friday morning 7/19/19, was called back by Green Scene (Alex?) the morning of 7/22/19 asking in a rushed tone if I still wanted a quote for Lawn Care. I knew that my wife had gotten a quote from another company and was looking for the email to let the guy on the phone know whether someone from his company had already called us. I (the customer) apologized 4 times that it was taking me a little while to find the email to ensure we weren't double booking. Each time I apologized, there was silence on the line. I would expect a simple, "no problem take your time" or something. As I finally pulled up the email, he hung up on me. Looking at my phone, I guess I wasted 1 minute and 54 seconds of his time. Wow, on the bright side, I was happy to have someone show their customer service style so clearly to me so I knew that this was not a company I would ever want to do business with. Steer clear. If they rush through a 2 minute call, imagine what they'll do with your lawn.

By far the worst company I have Ever dealt with. Cancelled my service at the end of the year in 2018 and they came back spring of 2019 and treated my lawn. Called the company thinking that they overlooked the cancellation. After talking with the very rude "manager", who hung up on me, it turns out they did not cancel my treatments and proceeded to charge for the new treatment. The manager said "screw you buddy" and "I don't care that you cancelled, its not in our system". Absolutely the most unprofessional lawn care company I have ever done business with.

They apparently drop some kind of treatment down outside the house. It didn't work. We had better results with product we purchased at Home Depot. They called to get payment, when I paid them I asked to cancel the service. They said "okay, thanks for the payment". No questions about why or how they could actually provide what we paid for. No concern for customer service and more about collecting that regular payment in my opinion. .
