OPC Pest Services - Pest Control & Exterminator, Barrington, IL

Spiders all over the front of my house. Just paid like $400. Now they made an appt to com back but then said the tech had an emergency and would reschedule. That was 2 weeks ago. Bad service/ terrible communication. Inexcusable. And as far as their reply trying to save face, ya’ll should have reached out to me with your concern BEFORE I called your corporate office and was forced to leave a bad review. You see a bad review and then decide to act. Terrible business tactic.

Our technician is thorough and respectful. He asks if there is anything new or any items of concern. Always explains the plan for the appointment and reminds us to keep our pet inside for a while afterwards. Would highly recommended the company and our technician!

I selected OPC after extensive research and specifically communicated that carpenter bee and stinging insect management were my top priorities due to the amount of exterior wood on my home. Prior to signing up, I walked the property with the sales representative and specifically discussed treatment of the soffits, fascia, overhangs, and areas near my koi pond. Based on those discussions, I believed these areas would be treated as part of the program. Unfortunately, my experience did not align with those expectations. Multiple follow-up emails regarding bee activity went unanswered, and a visit that was specifically requested for bee concerns resulted in only a standard perimeter treatment. After additional follow-ups and an attempted cancellation, management became involved. Despite these efforts, I experienced continued bee activity, discovered active nests on the home, and documented carpenter bee damage. The technicians I interacted with were professional and courteous, but in my experience the company struggled with communication, follow-through, and delivering services consistent with what was discussed during the sales process. Every property and customer experience is different, but prospective customers with complex properties or specific treatment requirements should ensure all expectations are clearly documented and confirmed in writing.

We have had Schoeppen (OPC) for many many years. My son actually set us up with them probably about 9-10 years ago. Been very happy with them. I am probably the worst when it comes to spiders. They scare me, freak me out and are just nasty. Ants are another pain for me. But between Bob and Tim they have been on top of everything for us. They are very helpful, kind and know my dislike for bugs quite well. They know when I say spiders or ants they will be out here as soon as they can. I couldn’t have asked for 2 AMAZING guys to help us out. Thank you so much Bob and Tim!!

Long over due review. One of the main reason I stick with this company is because of our service tech Bob. Great person! Always looking out for the homeowner and shares his knowledge and experience on what is needed for a certain situation. Always a great communicator and finds out any information that is needed! Gets the job done and we love it. I hope he gets the recognition that is deserved! Besides that, been with the company for 5 years servicing many different properties, the service and pricing have always been affordable. Recommend!

I was fortunate to have a young man by the name of Adam who came for my last few visits and he was so thorough. He also let me know what he was doing and answered any questions I had. I’ve been using OPC for years. Bob is my technician and he listens when I’m wigged out about pests! He’s does rodent extermination, inside and outside general treatments, carpenter ant treatment, and wasp removal. I’m more comfortable in my home knowing Bob is handling any creepy crawlies!

We have been using OPC since before they were OPC! Bob has always been our Ant Bully! I can hear the ants screaming as Bob approaches. This is a stubborn colony that shows up every year and Bob always clears it up for us (A couple of times he even had to visit us a few times) This year, Bob also handled our wasp situation. Every year we have several paper wasp hives by this time, The backyard was treated earlier in the spring and we have been wasp free in all the treated areas! Today he sprayed an area we didn’t anticipate a queen moving into (inside our patio rockers). Bob is personable and extremely knowledgeable. He always professional and truly does care and remember about his clients. He always comes through for us! Thank you Bob!
