FRAUD Alert. This business is conducting fraud. Minions McDougald and Figueroa run a contract scam in the office under Boyd Worthen's direction. They also do a subpar job in pest control. They signed up multiple people in my home to a contracts .. for the same house, same address, multiple contracts! Then demanded $250 in extortion to get out of the 2nd contract after the 1st was paid in full. We refused to pay the extortion and they followed through on their threat. I explained that that is fraud and they said "so... the other person in your house was dumb enough to sign again". Clearly they have been doing fraudulent contracts for some time now. I looked up the ownership and .. no surprise Boyd Worthen — Managing Owner of the EcoShield Pest Control Miami has 46 Better Business Bureau complaints about his unprofessional operation. 46 people took the time to try to warn others of their malfeasance is shocking. P.S. during the 1st contract we had to hire Truly Nolan to come and treat the home because EcoSheild said they do not have the proper chemicals to do the job right. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. The other reason they do not use the right chemical is not only to drag out the payments but by not using the right chemicals they are guaranteed to be called back and back. Gross. You would be better off scaring the bugs away with a lemon slice then to use there services.

Avoid EcoShield and Tyrone!! He used a very dirty web brush and smeared a black/oily stain over about 25 feet of the stucco ceiling of our outdoor lanai. He also sprayed our wood double front door with the chemical used around the exterior of the home resulting in stains to the newly painted front door. After 2 years of positive experience with ECO Shield, our new technician Tyrone destroyed all of the good and corporate couldn’t assure me that he wouldn’t return!

We really regret signing up with this company. 1. Unprofessional door-to-door sales – They knocked on our door at 8pm on a Friday, which is simply not acceptable for a solicitation. Their sales pitch was fast, persuasive, and made a lot of promises about solving our spider and ant problem within a few months. 2. Misleading services – What they described in their sales pitch is very different from what’s actually included. They told us we’d receive full interior and exterior pest control, but apparently, they “don’t do anything inside unless there’s a problem,” and they “don’t kill spiders—only knock down webs.” Today a technician came and was just knocking down cobwebs with a leaflet. 3. Uncomfortable behavior – One of their technicians asked my wife personal questions about our travel plans after noticing luggage, which made her very uncomfortable. 4. No improvement – After 3–4 months, our pest issues are actually worse than before. Every time they visit, they just knock webs and nests down onto the ground, and we’re left to clean up the mess ourselves. 5. Hidden contract terms – During the rushed sales pitch, they never mentioned it was a 24-month contract or that there would be a $250 cancellation fee. We were only told to “stick with it for a few months.” Had we known the real terms, we never would have agreed—especially since we’re renting and will be moving well before 24 months. Overall, this company has been misleading, ineffective, and unprofessional. I would strongly recommend asking very clear questions and reading the fine print before signing anything.

Excellent service until it's time to cancel. I've spent nearly 5 hours dealing with and speaking to more than 8 people simply to cancel the service. They make it VERY difficult to cancel.

EcoShield is the poster child for unethical business practices. I was solicited by one of their sales representatives (Isaac Perez) at about 7:00 at night. We walked around my house, identified issues, and he gave me the whole spiel. Admittedly, it sounded great. I was told that I would pay $150 at the beginning of my 6-month cycle, and then another $150 at the end of the 6 months. ($300 total) So, they came and did the first service for $150 and it left a lot to be desired. They were supposed to come knock down all the spider webs in my screen room and get rid of the spiders. It was a sloppy job and there were plenty of webs left over. Don't even get me started on the ants. Unfortunately, the poor quality of service isn't even the biggest problem. It's the deceptive sales tactics and straight up lying about the pay cycle. Verses being charged $300 for the entire 6-month cycle, they charge me $150 for the first month, $150 for the second month, and then $150 every other month for an entire 12 months. Obviously, I'm furious because this is not at all what I was sold. I called to cancel and they tell me that there is a $250 cancellation fee. So not only do I have to pay several times over the price that I was sold and agreed to, I also have to pay to cancel their horrible service. It feels like they lied to me and are now holding my money hostage to continue their service. This company relies on sales people that withhold facts, bend the truth, misrepresent pricing, and purposely omit information. This is unethical and illegal. I am not the only person in my neighborhood that has encountered these same issues with EcoShield, and if the company decides that they will not do right by their customers and correct the issues that they have created, a remedy will be found through legal action. ***To go ahead and respond to their generic reply, you say that you give a 3-day cancellation period, however, the "essential" second half of the initial treatment is 30 to 45 days from the first half. So, in no way, shape, or form are you giving the customer an acceptable window or opportunity to be able to see your quality of service or back out if your services are sub par and unacceptable.

Highly disappointed in this company! After multiple unfinished services and very poor workman ship we finally decided to end our service with eco shield. We were promised at the beginning that our whole yard would be treated which didn’t actually get done until about the 4th time of complaining about the tech not doing so. Also reviewed the products they say they use, and found that the amount that the tech said he used in his notes is actually about 1/10th the amount that is required for the size of our yard. Brushing around the top side of the house for spiderwebs and such was done very poorly and many spots were missed or skipped over. Tech was always in a hurry and acted like he didn’t want to fulfill his duties. Our ongoing ant issues just seemed to get worse which has us questioning whether they were actually putting anything down in the yard at all. Would never recommend this company to anyone even if the services were 100% free. The photos attached are of around the top of the house right after tech had left.

I had a terrible experience with EcoShield Pest Control, and I feel compelled to share my dissatisfaction. Unfortunately, this company lacks basic communication skills and professionalism. Managers Jerome and Eric were particularly disappointing, there was no follow-up, no accountability, and a complete disregard for customer concerns. I scheduled a service and was left waiting, as they never showed up or even contacted me to reschedule. Despite repeated attempts to get in touch, I received no response. This level of disrespect is unacceptable for any company, let alone one that claims to provide reliable pest control services. The service itself was abysmal, completely ineffective and not worth the hassle. I regret choosing EcoShield and cannot recommend them to anyone. If you're looking for professional pest control services, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

I’ve been disappointed with EcoShield Pest Solutions after multiple visits where the technicians have either skipped over critical areas or simply didn't show up at all. On more than one occasion, they’ve missed spots that we had clearly pointed out, and it’s left us questioning whether they even performed any treatment. There’s no clear communication or evidence of work being done, which makes us doubt the effectiveness of their service. We expected more professionalism and thoroughness, especially given the price. Sadly, we’ve lost confidence in their reliability.

Pictures will be attached. DISHONEST COMPANY!!! I don’t live in Deerfield but this is the only location on Google for this company. I absolutely regret the day Austin P. came to my door and convinced me to sign up. DO NOT use this company even if you are desperate, find someone else to help you. This company is so DISHONEST and I’m angry about it. We specifically asked Austin if we can cancel our service with no charge or penalties, he repeatedly assured us we can cancel at any time with no penalty. That is not the case at all, it was either get 7 more services that do absolutely nothing or pay HUNDREDS of dollars to cancel. We got this service mainly as a preventative measure for the area we live in and I don't know what they sprayed around my house but the following day there was a swarm at my front door of bugs I had never seen in the 4 years I’ve had my home. Of course we ended up paying the money to cancel but I implore you all to AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST!!
