I had water intrusion in my 3 month old home after Milton, and needed to assess the cause as soon as possible. As busy as Maverick Inspection Services was, they got me on the schedule within 2 days. Michael was as thorough as you could be, and was able to identify all the issues. This was extremely useful, since I had the warranty team from my builder coming and I wanted to be sure they were being honest with me. I strongly recommend this company if you need to know whats going on with your new build or if you are having issues in your current home.

We were very happy with the quick and patient communication with the office and the thorough inspection process. We did not end up buying the house because they noted some problems with the foundation that we didn’t want to commit to. We are glad we got them to come. We feel it’s less biased when you choose to bring your own inspection and not the realtor agency.

2 months ago- I was referred to this company when another inspector was not available during that time. Mike was very quick to get me scheduled and very responsive from beginning to end. However, his inspection was not as top notch. The inspection was not as detailed as I had hoped. Things were missed. For example, cracked stucco, cracked tile in the bathroom, at least one of the sprinklers is clogged, no gutters installed causing water to corrode into the lawn and water to sit next to the foundation, etc. Not happy with how he did not stand up for subpar job!!1 Do not Use this company!!. I regret....Perhaps the other inspector would have done a more thorough job, but not Maverick company.

We used Mike on 2 home purchases/ inspections in one year. Unfortunately, a major plumbing issue was missed on BOTH homes. We had the issue fixed on the first home and chalked it up to just a mistake. Then we used him on our 2nd home purchase. The home was vacant and I met him at the home and asked that he verify hot water was coming from EVERY facet and tub. He assured me he did. I didn’t have time to walk around and try everything so I went back to work. My mistake. Fast forward 3 weeks later we move in and 2 bathrooms have no hot water to the showers. Plumber called and AGAIN it was the hot water cartridge that needed replacing, same issue in the first home. The plumber showed me the pieces and said there is no way the inspector would have gotten hot water from the shower. The amount of corrosion and damage would have taken a while to happen so again it was impossible that he got hot water to come out of the showers. I emailed Mike multiple times and his only response was that he used his thermal gun and it showed hot water, and that the items he did find for us more than paid for the cost of his service. Unless you can follow behind him and verify everything he is doing with your own eyes I would not recommend. We had to pay $825 for the 2 inspections, but then had to pay $700 to electricians and plumbers to have repairs done that he missed.

I had to edit this review. It was originally 5 stars due to his thoroughness, which is still the case. However, he has an issue with communication. He has told me a time frame to receive certain reports (I paid up front for them). They did not come when promised, which I would be willing to forgive. However, he is now completely unresponsive and conveniently seems to have taken off for the weekend without letting me know this. I am in a time crunch and this lack of communication is unacceptable to me. If you want a thorough home inspection, you will get it from him. Just don't expect him to be responsive to your queries. I also highly recommend not allowing him to charge you up front for the reports until he has them ready to go. I am leaving my original review below: Michael was fantastic, professional, and very knowledgeable in his field. He was very thorough and did an excellent job explaining the little details. Highly recommend his services to anyone needing a home inspection.

Mike did a Wind Mitigation Inspection for me and originally I thought everything went well and paid him. He said he would email my report within about 24 hours. After repeated phone messages and emails to him, he has still NOT responded. I still have NOT received the report I paid for. I would be very cautious in dealing with him or his business. I would NOT recommend doing business with him or his company.
