We've been with Westfals for many years and we're still totally satisfied. Our lawn looks great plus they also do the pestcontrol for the house. We haven't any problems. I there is an issue, it's taken care off immediately and you're not pushed off! The office staff is always friendly and helpful. However, I would prefer to get thec same technician for both services.

My technician, Thomas, showed up on time and answered all my questions. He treated both the lawn and exterior perimeter shrubbery with fertilizer, insect control and weed control. His service was competent and his training was apparent.

Lawn has gone downhill since I hired them. Brown patches were diagnosed as FUNGUS (overwater) AND DROUGHT as well as grubs & mole crickets (with add'l charge to kill). Was instructed to cover area with topsoil which later killed all remaining grass in area (see pics 1&2 note remaining grass degradation over time pic #3). The last straw: I was instructed via email that the crabgrass would die this winter and that i should put baking soda on the crabgrass. What am I paying Westfall $93 a month for, to do it myself?? Insane, I fired them. The bright note was the tech Chris who did everything he was allowed to help but couldn't.

The mention of baking soda was never intended as a professional or company-applied solution—it was shared only as a homeowner-level, optional remedy. Due to regulations, we are not permitted to apply or recommend it as part of our commercial services. I’m sorry if that distinction wasn’t clearly communicated at the time.<br><br>From our assessments and documentation, the primary issue we observed was significant drought stress. Unfortunately, drought stress can closely mimic symptoms of fungus, pest activity, or nutrient deficiencies, which can understandably feel conflicting. Our guidance was based on helping the turf recover through proper irrigation timing, coverage, and consistency—because without adequate water, even the best treatments cannot deliver results.<br><br>The topsoil recommendation was made with the intention of protecting and supporting compromised areas. However, when turf is already weakened, even well-intended steps can sometimes lead to unintended outcomes, and I’m truly sorry that this added to your frustration.<br><br>I do want to sincerely thank you for recognizing Chris. He cares deeply about doing right by our customers, and your words about him mean more than you know.<br><br>While I regret that we weren’t able to turn this around to your satisfaction, please know that your feedback matters to us and will be taken seriously. I had been a long-term customer and was overall quite pleased with Westfall's Lawn Service. I recently moved back to my house, after eight months, due to significant flood and wind damages from Hurricane's Helene and Milton. Since I had extensive work done on my home, I called Westfall and asked if they offered complimentary termite inspections for existing customers. I was informed that they did, and their inspector, Zach McNaughton, came by the next day. Zach looked inside and outside of the house and said there were no indicators that there were termites. Afterward, I texted him and asked if he could put that in writing. I then called him, and he refused to put it in writing as Westfall's Inspector. I asked if I could speak with the boss, David Westfall, and he said that he was out of town and he would "maybe" mention it to him. After my conversation, I called the main office and shared my story with Michelle, and she said she would look into it and get back to me. I also asked her if David was in town, and she said yes. Zach lied to me. She called back and left a message. She said they wouldn't put anything in writing, but if I paid for an inspection, they would. I was misled, disrespected, and lied to. Lawn and Pest Control Services are plentiful in this area. Irrespective of having been satisfied with Westfall's services over many years, I could not continue to be a client after this horrific customer service experience.

We understand how frustrating this situation must have been, especially while recovering from the challenges following Hurricanes Helene and Milton.<br>We would like to clarify why we could not provide a written termite inspection report without a paid inspection. Under Florida Statute §482 and Florida Administrative Code Rule 5E-14.142(2)(d), pest control companies are prohibited from issuing written inspection reports unless a licensed inspection is performed as a billable service. While our complimentary inspections for existing customers are FREE and intended to provide peace of mind, state law requires that only paid, documented inspections may result in an official written report. <br>We do offer the paid service to give you all the information verbally provided to you in a written form. At the time of the conversation you were not interested however we will be glad if you change your mind. We respect your decision and are truly grateful for the years you allowed us to serve your home. I had the tech come out for an estimate. She informed me that I had mole crickets??? And the treatment was $275. She told me I could pick which services I wanted. So I completed their paperwork and gave them my billing info 4 days ago. Now they call me this morning and tell me that I have to pay their $275 mole cricket fee or they won't service my lawn!!! That sounds alot like BULLYING!! Never going to happen. Beware of these people!!

Terrible, terrible service!!! They didn’t get the job done! I cancelled my service a month ago and they charged me for service!!!!! Do not use this company!
I wrote a review a yr ago that got taken down, thanks 4 the censorship. You have to look a negative review for the truth, accounting practices are shady at best. They like to bill for future service/service that has not been completed. If you dispute anything the lady owner is not reasonable at all and will argue you until you give up.
This company is into shady practices of invoicing you weeks to a month before they should be and they won't provide services even if you pay but you cancel. If you pay you get three months of coverage. HOWEVER if you want to cancel (but you paid for the three months) you have to wait until the end of the three months to do so! In other words, they are hoping you forget and it automatically renews. So put a note in your calendar if you plan on cancelling but have already paid.
After the first several months the service quickly deteriorated and they started billing me even though service wasn't due. I had to call multiple times and complain about this problem. Yesterday they came to fertilize my lawn and was at my home for literally five minutes and didn't complete the job, but billed me. So I called to complain and spoke with a manager that told me the guy was here for 15 minutes, even though on my security cameras you can see him arrive and leave within 5 minutes. Avoid this company, they are a scam.
I was behind one of these trucks on my way to work and couldn't believe what I saw...as we were approaching the railroad tracks on 26th Avenue East, Tropicana Railroad, the driver had his windows rolled down throwing trash on the side of the road thru the passenger window. This isn't good for business and advertises low respect for the environment and our community. You should have a review of this with the driver and hopefully he will dump his trash in a trash container and not our roads.
We contracted with Westfall's Lawn Care in December after having problems with our lawn. Initially, we were happy with the service until a new technician started to spray our lawn in March. Our lawn was noted as being "green and healthy" in the notes on the invoice we received from Westfall in early March. The pictures below show what our lawn looks like today. Despite repeated calls to the owners about our concerns with the new technician and the deteriorating condition of our lawn nothing was ever done to remedy the situation. The owners never investigated our Concerns or even came out to see what was Happening to our lawn! On 4/17 we received our last service at a time in which I was home and the technician was here less than 7 minutes! Definitely not enough time to provide a thorough service. When we called to express our concerns over The lack of time and care the technician had In treating our lawn, we were made to feel like we were lying. When we recently contracted with another Company to perform our lawn care they Informed us that we have chinch bugs and they are killing our entire lawn! Chinch bugs should never be a problem if Are getting your yard treated regularly.. which is what we thought were doing with Westfall. Sadly, because the technician wasn't doing his job and the owners never followed up A large portion of our lawn is dead and will Need to be replaced at our cost!! The owners will treat you nice to get your businesse but will NEVER follow up if you have a concern. I am disgusted with the condition of our lawn and the fact that they never took our concerns about the technician seriously! I even placed a call shortly before cancelling our service to speak with the owner and again request another technician due to the condition of our lawn and they didn't have the decency to even call me back! If you want someone to kill your lawn and you want it to look like mine then they are the ones to call... They took our money for servicing our lawn and all I have to show for it is a dead lawn and an empty wallet because all the sod they ruined will have to be replaced.. Very disappointed in this company! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!
