We can't stop singing the praises of Matt every time we look at our reclaimed garden. When we bought our home, it was snow covered, and we had no idea in the spring that we would find the garden overrun with invasive shrubs--everything from oriental bittersweet killing a pine and white ash, autumn olive, burning bush, mugwort, Japanese barberry (hello ticks!), and on. We spoke with multiple companies and Matt stood out from the get go. He is kind-hearted, genuine, honest, thoughtful, responsive, a listener and a hard working professional, and we just knew our project to reclaim the land would be in the best hands with him. We were so right. I don't know how he had the energy to do as much as he did in so little time. We're now able to restore a healthy habitat and ecosystem in our little corner of the world. Matt helped us mulch the area that is more front-facing as I wanted the more forested area to retain its natural look. We are now planting shrubs, flowers, grasses and trees that will sustain a healthier future, and we could not have reached this point without Matt. If you're considering him and wondering how to distinguish between the different companies, know that he's trustworthy, realistic and just the best bet to make. They were prompt, professional, and genuinely kind — even laughing along with us while our toddlers played outside. They saw a vision for our property that we had struggled to articulate, and with their thoughtful suggestions and expert guidance, they completely transformed our 1.8-acre lot (with only about .75 acre previously usable) into a space that now feels larger than two acres while still maintaining privacy. The attention to detail was incredible — from the aesthetic placement of boulders, removal of invasive vines on the trees, to the overall flow of the space. The process was collaborative and enjoyable from start to finish, and we’re thrilled with the results. Matt has always worked with us to do a great job on our property, making sure we are completely satisfied. He just finished leveling a space for a pool and advised us on the best way to handle it and worked with us to keep it inexpensive but done right! You can't go wrong with Second Nature.

Matt goes above and beyond to take care of our lawn. In addition to providing lawn care for many years, He used his tractor to remove fallen trees and cleared land reviving half our yard. He treats each job as if he is caring for his own home. Matt is a perfectionist and consummate professional. Highly recommend!
